"Are you sure this place is where the werewolf lives?" Evie carefully asked Simon who was sitting in the driver's seat of the black sedan.
It was almost midnight, and most people were probably busy with their dreamland journey, but Evie and Simon were busy looking for someone right now.
"I'm sure, My Lady," Simon answered. "He works at the resort as one of the waiters in the restaurant, and I collect his information from the resort. It is said that that man lives in this area, My Lady."
The night was so quiet, and the only sound that could be heard was the sound of a car engine because Simon didn't turn it off. The black sedan stopped near an alley, and Evie couldn't even see the end of the alley because it was too dark.
Previously Simon said that the werewolf lived in a rented house at the end of the alley, and because the alley was too narrow even cars couldn't get through it, Simon had to stop the vehicle near the alley.
"Let's visit the werewolf, Simon. I still need to thank him after he helped me from the kidnapper today," said Evie.
While Simon seemed to hesitate, Evie was sure enough of her decision, and she was even ready to open the car door. It seemed that she really wanted to meet the werewolf, and she couldn't even focus on the fan meeting today after her eyes accidentally met with the werewolf.
She didn't even expect the werewolf to work at the resort, but she had to admit that she was lucky to find the werewolf without needing to try so hard.
She forced Simon to find more information about the werewolf, and in the end, they were in this deserted place because of her stubborn desire to meet the werewolf as soon as possible.
Evie was very greedy indeed, but before she could open the car door, she suddenly heard Simon almost scream in a hurry, "Please don't do that, My Lady!"
Simon's voice was enough to stop Evie from moving, but it wasn't enough to make her understand, and that was why she asked, "Why did you stop me, Simon? You know that only a werewolf can help me this time, right? I don't want any wrinkles on my face, Simon! I also don't want to see how I slowly look older and die miserably!"
That was Evie's main goal. She wouldn't care about the man if he wasn't a werewolf. Even if the man had helped her escape from the kidnapper, Evie wouldn't even have insisted on thanking him if he wasn't a werewolf. However, things were different because the man was a werewolf, and Evie knew that this was her last chance to keep herself from growing old.
"I can understand your intentions, My Lady!" Simon answered while looking helplessly at the woman sitting in the backseat. "But you remember it is a full moon night now, right? You know what happens to werewolves on a full moon night, right?"
"…" This time, Evie did not answer Simon's question immediately.
When she glanced at the car window, she could see that it was indeed a full moon hanging in the black sky. The sky was clear without clouds tonight, and that was why the moon looked to challenge every living thing on this planet. And the creatures that felt most challenged by the full moon were the werewolves.
Years ago, it was well-known among vampires that werewolves were closely related to the moon. It was also said that the first werewolf was born from a full moon, but no vampire knew whether the story was real or not.
It was indeed said that werewolves were children of the full moon, and that was why they were subdued by the moon when it was in its full moon phase. When they were subdued by the full moon, the werewolves wouldn't be able to think straight, and that was why they turned into their wolf form. In that state, the wolves couldn't think of anything other than food, but they were still lucky because their instincts would only let them eat animals. Thus, they never caused trouble with humans or vampires even on full moon nights.
"It will be easier for us to take the werewolf while he is in his wolf form, Simon. We can't miss this chance because the next full moon won't appear until next month, right?" Finally, Evie voiced the answer to Simon's question.
After hearing the woman's answer, Simon seemed speechless. Of course, he knew that the next full moon would only be next month, but that wasn't his intention when he tried to stop the Vampire Queen from doing what she wanted to do tonight.
Unfortunately, it seemed like Evie would never change her mind once she had made her final decision, which was why the blonde woman quickly opened the car door, not letting Simon's voice stop her from moving once again.
Simon groaned in frustration, but he finally turned off the car's engine before following his master's movements. As soon as the car's engine was shut off, their surroundings immediately went dark, but that was no problem for Evie and Simon. In an instant, their eyes turned red, and they shone brightly to let them see through the darkness.
It was a secret mission she was on tonight, but Evie was still Evie. She was still a famous actress who cared deeply about her appearance, and that was why she still wore a pair of high heels that were directly in contact with the asphalt, and her long coat fluttered with the wind.
It was only a dark alley, but Evie Bancroft made it like her catwalk, and Simon could only follow behind her shaking his head helplessly. It was indeed the Queen's nature, and that was why he dared not comment.
The heels kept clicking on the hard asphalt surface until they finally stopped when the two vampires arrived in front of a small house. From inside the house, Evie's sharp ears heard a faint growl.
