Chapter 44 - CHAPTER 44

After appearing on the rooftop of a building, I quickly searched for something on my phone. Once I knew where I needed to go, I immediately headed to the location.

[ Armstreet: Medieval and LARP store ]

'This should be the place.'

I thought while looking at the signboard in front of the store, then without further ado, I entered the store.

*Kring~

When I entered the store, I was immediately welcomed by a warm medieval-themed interior with medieval ambiance music as well. There were costumes, trinkets, armor, etc. After looking around for a bit, I saw the shopkeeper at the counter who was currently talking with a customer.

I decided to wait for him to finish, and then I went to the weaponry section of the store. There were quite a lot of swords here, ranging from short to long, light to heavy. There was also a bow, mage's staffs, and much more.

I then picked one up for testing. I swung it a couple of times, and before long, someone approached me.

"Hey! how can I help you?"

I looked towards the voice, and it was a man. He kind of reminded me of those Vikings I saw on a TV show. He had a long beard, braided hair, quite tall and buff. And he also wore Viking clothing.

"Hey, I was wondering, if I want to buy a sword, do I need anything specific?" I asked him while still holding the sword that I had been swinging earlier.

The shopkeeper smiled and said, "Ahh, you mean licensed and those unnecessary documents? No, you don't need that. Because our store only sells cosmetic weapons and they're not even eligible for anything professional."

I nodded at him and took a few more swings of the sword that I was holding.

"Wow, you're quite experienced in using swords," the shopkeeper exclaimed in a surprised tone.

"Well, I once practiced swordsmanship with my grandfather," I shamelessly lied to him.

I then put the sword back on the rack and picked up another one. Then I swung it a couple of times as well.

"Are you looking for anything in particular? Maybe I can help you," the shopkeeper offered me, and I just shook my head and said, "Thank you, I don't need help at the moment."

"Well, if you need anything, I'll be at the counter over there," the shopkeeper said and then left me alone.

A few moments later, after trying one sword after another, I picked up one that meets my standards. To be honest, all of these swords are shit, but hey, I don't need anything fancy. I then went to the counter and met the shopkeeper again.

"You found what you were looking for?" the shopkeeper asked me, and I nodded at him. Then I proceeded to the payment for the sword, and after a couple of minutes, I left the store.

I then went to an alleyway and quickly scanned my surroundings with my energy. After noticing that no one was around, I marked the alleyway and then vanished from there.

A moment later, I arrived at the front of the Cullens' house. I made another mark and entered the house. I promptly headed to Edward's room and began searching for something. After rummaging through and returning the items to their original places, I sat down on his bed.

I looked at the thing in my hand which is Edward's wrist band and a couple strands of his hair.

'I hope this works.'

I then began adjusting them and creating something that I hoped would turn out well in the end. A moment later, I smiled proudly and then glanced towards Bella's house. I stood up and then jumped out of the glass door and went towards her house.

...

After I arrived at Bella's house, I quickly scanned the forest behind her house and spotted them: Bella and Edward. I then dashed towards them and, after entering the woods a little distance from her house, I found them. So, I went to one of the trees that surrounded them and concealed my presence.

"If this is about my soul, take it! I don't want it without you!"

"It's not about your soul... you're just not good enough for me,"

Well, it looks like I'm quite late to the show. But that doesn't matter, let's keep watching for a while.

"Am I not good enough for you?"

"I'm sorry I let this relationship go on for so long."

"Please... Don't..."

"Goodbye."

"Edward..."

I saw Edward zip through the woods, and then, after a few kilometers, I could no longer sense his presence. I then looked towards Bella, who had a shocked and anxious expression on her face.

And to my surprise, a few seconds later, I saw her with a determined look on her face.

"Edward!"

Bella shouted, and she began running deeper into the woods, so I followed her. Shout after shout, Bella still wouldn't give up on calling Edward, hoping that he would arrive in front of her. From the looks of her face, she hoped that this would all be a dream.

As she went deeper into the woods, I realized that she was about to enter the territory of the Quileute tribe. So, I quickly appeared in front of her, causing her to stumble and fall to the ground.

After she regained her composure, she looked at me in surprise, "M-Mikael!? What are you doing here?"

I just nodded my head and said, "I'm the one who should be asking you, what are you doing here in the middle of the woods?"

"I-I...I'm looking for Edward..."

I just shook my head and moved closer to her, which startled her. I chuckled at her and said, "Do you really believe that Edward left you?"

Bella stared at me in confusion and answered, "M-Maybe, I don't know!"

I sighed and shook my head again, "You do know that vampires have soulmates."

A flash of realization came across her face, but it only lasted for a moment before she said again, "But I feel like everything Edward just said is true!"

Sigh...this bit-
