"An army... is c-coming..." Alice said in a trembling voice.
"What kind of army?" I asked Alice as I guided her to the sofa. Once we were seated on the sofa, Alice curled up in my arms and replied, "I don't know, I've never seen them before."
"How many are they?" I asked again, while rubbing her back and trying to calm her as best as I could.
"Dozens of them, more or less a hundred," Alice replied with a low tone
That's quite a lot. I had this feeling that these people are the ones who ordered Alistair to do their bidding, spying on me, gathering information from me, and probably much more.
And considering the timing of their approach, it is very likely that they are the ones who ordered Alistair. Only last night, I lost touch with Alistair, and now they intend to come here themselves. On top of that, they come when the Cullens were leaving.
"Are they humans or vampires?"
Alice seemed silent for a moment, then she turned her gaze towards me and said with a horrified look on her face, "Vampires."
"When?"
Alice closed her eyes again for a moment and said, "When the moon is at its highest point of the night."
"So it's midnight, which means that they will arrive in a couple of hours."
Alice nodded, looking terrified, and asked, "What are we going to do? Should we run?"
I chuckled at Alice, who looked terrified. Then, I kissed her forehead and smiled at her.

( Third Pov )
[ The ??? Bookstore - Branch 1869 ]
At around the same time, Alice received her vision of the Daggers members coming for them, the Daggers could be seen preparing themselves. Some of them were drinking blood from their hunt, while others were sharpening their daggers. A few were simply waiting with their eyes closed.
The bald man, who was the leader of the Daggers, can be seen sitting in one of the rooms at the bookstore with his assistant on his right. In front of him is a woman dressed in a white suit, wearing a crow mask that hides only the upper half of her face.
"What is the member of the Eyes doing here? Haven't we already given you the information that Lady Seventh needed?" the bald man said with a stern voice.
"Forgive me if I disturb your precious time, Sir Shadow. I came here on behalf of our leader," the crow-masked woman replied, bowing her head slightly.
"Lady Raven? Is there something she needs from us?" Her statement piqued the bald man's, or should I say, Shadow's interest.
The woman wearing the crow mask nodded and said, "Yes, our leader wants me to record your operation tonight live with our device. Of course, we're willing to compensate you for this."
"Oh?"
The woman wearing the crow mask took a white suitcase and placed it in front of Shadow. His assistant stepped up to open the case, and when she did, she widened her eyes in surprise.
"Sir..."
Shadow nodded and approached the case. He took one of the items inside the case and inspected it.
"Blood coins... Lady Raven, what are you up to?"
Indeed, inside the white suitcase was a neatly arranged stack of blood coins. The blood coins are the sole currency that holds value within their organization; no money or gold is of any worth there. The blood coins were red-gold in color, and a wine glass was carved on both sides of the coins, which makes them even more special.
The blood coins are, of course, unique as they are necessary for every member to fulfill the mission assigned by the organization and obtain one of them. Naturally, the number of blood coins they receive is influenced by the level of difficulty of the mission; the more challenging the mission, the greater the amount of blood coins they receive.
With blood coins, members of the organization can exchange them for various items and services, such as information and devices that would assist them in their mission. If they have enough blood coins, they can even request an audience with the higher-ups of the organization, if they're lucky enough to have that many blood coins, of course.
And right now, within the suitcase, there were a hundred of them. Shadow, who was surprised by the quantity, stared at the coins with a frown. He knew that if someone were to give him this amount of blood coins, they were definitely trying to accomplish something. But he had no idea what Lady Raven could have gained by simply recording their operation live tonight.
Shadow shook his head in defeat and put the coin he was holding back into the suitcase. He had no idea what Lady Raven could have gained, and he didn't want to inquire about it either. When the blood coins spoke, no one could refuse. If one were to refuse, they had to present the same amount of blood coins or more.
"Tell Lady Raven that we have agreed to her request," Shadow said as he left the room, while his assistant stayed behind to discuss further with the woman wearing the crow mask.

( Mikael's House )
Mikael and Alice can still be seen on their sofa. Mikael was seen comforting Alice, occasionally rubbing her back and brushing her hair with his fingers, while Alice can be seen melting in his embrace and she had a calm expression.
"I won't run."
Mikael said with a serious expression, while Alice just nodded at him and said, "And so do I. I'll always be by your side."
Mikael shook his head and held her cheek with his right hand. "No, my love, I can't risk getting you hurt, and I won't let you get hurt."
After Alice heard him say that, she frowned and said, "I don't want to be apart from you! I can fight with you! I can help you! I can... I can..."
"Shh, it's okay Alice, I will be fine. Nothing will happen to me, I promise," Mikael said while hugging the sad Alice.
"Besides, I want you to go to Scotland first..."
