Chapter 46 - CHAPTER 46

"When you're about to give up, remember this: Within the realm of challenge lies the crucible of resilience. Surrender not to the tempest of adversity, for in the forge of persistence, the spirit refines itself with the mettle of tenacity."

As I said to her, I pressed my index finger to her forehead and said, "Your sword will be in your room by the time you wake up tomorrow, I'll also leave some notes for you."

"What do you mea-" Before Bella could say anything more, she suddenly felt dizzy, and a moment later, she found herself lying on the ground.

I couldn't help but chuckle at her. I hope she truly devoted herself to her training and not playing around with Jacob. I hope so.

"Looks like the wolf is here."

I looked in a certain direction and sensed that he was near because Bella and I were close to their territory, so of course he would smell our scent.

I looked at Bella for the last time and said, "Farewell, Bella. May we meet again."

...

( Third Pov )

It was already dark in the afternoon when Charlie came home. He pulled up to his house and noticed that it was dark, with no lights whatsoever. He saw Bella's truck, but there was no sign of activity in the house.

'Did she oversleep?' Charlie thought, with a confused expression on his face. He then got out of his car and went to the front door. But when he was about to open the door, he found it locked.

'Weird, Bella never locked the door. Did she really feel that tired and oversleep?' Charlie thought with a frown on his face. He understood that if Bella really wanted to sleep, she would have locked the door in case someone broke into the house.

Charlie then took a spare key from his keychain and unlocked the door. He went in and gently closed the door because he didn't want to disturb Bella. After that, he immediately switched on the lights. However, when he was about to go upstairs and check on Bella, he noticed that her shoes were not on the rack.

With another frown, Charlie immediately rushed to Bella's room, and to his dismay, Bella was nowhere to be seen. He then checked the other rooms and even the storage room, but Bella was still nowhere to be found.

With a worried expression, Charlie made a few phone calls while pacing back and forth in his house. He even went back to his police car and made a call to his department, stating that his daughter was missing.

Roughly ten minutes later, his colleague from the police department arrived, and they immediately went to Charlie and asked about a few things. Charlie answered all of them, and after that, they began to search the area near the house.

But, to their disappointment, they found nothing. Charlie felt distressed, and a few minutes later, a car pulled up to his house. From the car emerged three individuals: Charlie's best friends, Harry and Billy, and lastly Jacob, who tagged along because he was worried for Bella as well.

"Have you found her?" Harry asked, approaching the worried Charlie, who was looking at the map in his car.

Charlie shook his head and answered, "Not yet."

"I brought some equipment that might help. Let's try it," Harry said as he went back to Billy's car and picked up his equipment. He then returned to Charlie's car and placed his equipment on the hood of Charlie's car.

"Have you tried calling her friends?" Billy asked, while Jacob remained silent, observing the situation.

"Good point, I'll try to call them right now," Charlie then went to one of his colleagues and asked for the data containing information about the citizens of Forks. After a few calls, Charlie returned to Harry and Billy with a disappointed look.

"How was it?" Billy asked.

Charlie shook his head and answered, "They said that the last time they saw Bella was when she drove out of the school."

Then, what about the Cullens? Have you called them yet? Maybe she went there and stayed there for the night," Billy suggested again.

Charlie nodded and took out his phone to dial the Cullens' house number. He waited for them to pick up, but after a few seconds, he received no response. He frowned and tried again. While Charlie was busy with his phone, Billy and Harry shared a glance and nodded at each other. Billy then took out his phone and typed something on it. After that, he clicked [Send].

"I don't know why, but they're not answering," Charlie exclaimed, disappointed.

They then resumed their search with the equipment and the maps, but to their disappointment, they still found no trace of her. Charlie then approached his colleagues to ask about their progress, but they encountered the same outcome.

Charlie and his friends were so busy that they didn't even notice their surroundings or realize that someone had sneaked into Charlie's house. This person sneaked in through Bella's window and, after a few seconds, he came to the window and took a peek outside of the house.

"Fortunately, I made it just in time."

After that, the person suddenly vanished from the spot, leaving behind a medieval sword and a notebook in Bella's room.

After Charlie asked about the progress of his colleagues in the search for Bella and found out that they still hadn't found anything, he returned to his car where Harry, Billy, and Jacob were.

Charlie then took his phone again and said, "I'll try calling the Cullens' place again."

At the same time, Billy received a message on his phone that read, "No sign of them." Billy then sighed and said to Charlie, "The Cullens are out of town, Charlie."

"Where did they go?" Charlie asked, confused.

Harry sighed and patted Charlie on the back. "We'll find her, Charlie."

Charlie couldn't help but say, "Thanks, Harry."

Jacob, who had been silent the entire time, suddenly looked behind him and saw Sam, who was carrying the unconscious Bella in his arms.

"Charlie!"

Charlie and everybody who were there were surprised by Jacob's shout. They turned to where Jacob was looking and immediately saw Sam and Bella.

Charlie immediately rushed to Sam and Bella, while Sam shouted, "She's alright!"

"I got her," Charlie proceeded to princess carry Bella.

Charlie then carried Bella while looking at the naked Sam with a confused look and said, "Thank you, Sam."

Charlie then took Bella to the house while Harry and Sam exchanged a nod, and Jacob simply stared at him, remaining silent.
