Chapter 1 - If rebirth truly exist

Bella blinked twice, trying to grasp the surreal reality before her eyes. She could hardly believe that she might die like this, after enduring endless cycles of torture, abuse, and rape from the man she once loved with all her heart.

Her gaze met the eyes of her tormentor, the man who had become her entire world, now pointing a gun at her. She smiled through her agony, a bitter, twisted smile. How could she question him, after all, he had done for her? Even if he was cruel, he treated her better than her own father, who had sold her without a second thought. Her father had never cared for her or her mother, too consumed by his mistress and illegitimate child to notice their suffering.

Bella tried to speak, but no words came out. The torment she felt was unbearable, a daily nightmare of witnessing new facets of his cruelty. Today was no different. She wished it were all just a bad dream, too terrifying to be real.

A sharp sting pierced her right shoulder. She glanced down to see her sleeve soaking up the hot, thick blood seeping from the wound. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes, bracing herself for the end. She could bear no more pain, no more torment. Yet, nothing happened.

Opening her eyes slowly, she saw him struggling, the gun tossed across the room. She wanted to run, to escape, but her body wouldn't obey. Relief washed over her as he left the room, but her gratitude was premature. The door creaked open again, revealing her half-sister, Ella Carson, with a sinister smirk.

"Hello, dearest sister," Ella cooed, advancing with a mocking sweetness. Their relationship was anything but sisterly; it was a bitter rivalry.

"Are you in pain?" Ella asked, feigning concern with a pout. Bella saw through the charade.

"No worries, I'll make the pain go away," Ella whispered, producing a gun. Bella, still immobilized, watched in horror. Ella pulled out a bottle of greenish liquid, her smirk widening.

"Wondering why you can't move?" Ella taunted. "It's because of this. I added it to your food. My perfect plan, ruined by your lover boy."

Ella's face twisted in mock disappointment. "All I wanted was to become queen mafia and make you my slave. But no, you always had to look at me with disgust and blame me for everything."

Ella's voice dripped with venom as she revealed her hidden bitterness. "You never wanted my love, so I'll send you to your mother."

"W-what did you do to my mother?" Bella asked, her voice barely a whisper.

"Your mother is dead," Ella said casually. "Guess who killed her? Me. If you had just become my slave, none of this would have happened."

Ella's tone softened momentarily. "All I wanted was to be queen mafia, and now, I'll be. As for you, you can join your mother and continue your miserable existence in the afterlife."

Ella's smile turned wicked. "One more thing, GP is dead."

"No… no, Ella, why?" Bella cried, tears streaming down her face.

"Because he loved you too much and would make you queen," Ella said, her voice childlike. "You better not survive and come back for answers, or you'll regret it."

Ella's scoff echoed as she pulled the trigger, the bullet piercing Bella's chest. Bella's life flashed before her eyes—a life filled with sorrow, injustice, and torment. All she had ever wanted was a normal life, but her destiny seemed sealed.

As darkness enveloped her, Bella wondered if there was any justice, any hope. Could there be happiness, love, safety? Or was life just a cruel game with no escape?

In her final moments, Bella vowed to never give up. She would fight, seek vengeance, and clear her name. Even in death, her spirit would endure. She was not just a victim; she was a warrior. Bella would not be forgotten.

If rebirth truly exists, she thought, she would come back stronger, ready to reclaim her life.
