D E A M O N
After taking Soleil to the villa last night, I went to see how she was doing early in the morning. Soleil lived there now, so I slept in her extra room instead of mine.
She was in really bad shape, her face was swollen and she had a lot of bandages wrapped around her. Her chest tightens as she wants to do anything to help her.
I hate this feeling!
She muttered a few incoherent words, and tears continued to flow from her eyes. I quickly put a T-shirt to her face to wipe away tears, and the more I did, the more the sudden mysterious pain in my chest grew.
It seems that someone or something is cutting my heart with a sharp knife or claw.
It hurts.
In the end, I had to endure Soleil's pain with my pain. I'm a werewolf, so I can bear this pain, but Soleil is too small and fragile to bear. The moment my hand touched hers, I felt her pain on a whole other level. She was in excruciating pain that was far beyond what her body could withstand.
I almost got caught when I remembered what her father had done. I wish I could decapitate him for hurting my comrades so much.
Damn you! Why do I feel this way? "Do you regret your actions?"
I let go as soon as May entered the room with a bowl of water. If I don't hear from you, I will groan.
"No" I replied
"If you say so, Master," she dropped the teapot on the side of the bed, then straightened her back and looked straight at me with a scowl.
"Excuse me sir, I need a nurse to do a job, sir." I growled and angrily left the room at her use of the word 'sir' so often.
A few minutes later, I was sitting in the rubble of my study, contemplating the damage I had done the day before. No matter how many times my subconscious tells me, I don't want to regret it.
Things have changed since I met my spouse. I'm starting to regret what I did without thinking the other day. I want to take it easy now and try not to hurt her like I did.
Is that possible?
"You've done a really great job here, Daemon." I turned and saw Zalde, the gamma of the pack, enter. "What?" I demanded.
"It's better than last time, which means you can still change the fabric on these chairs, unlike last time when they were all separate pieces," he said, ignoring my question.
"What the hell did you say you wanted?" I cried out already angrily.
"Calm down, Damon. You can rest assured. I don't have to pretend to be a stranger every time we meet. "
"Get out if you have nothing else to say," I commanded.
"I'm going to call some people to sort this out. If you want, that's fine."
"Anyway," I replied, but I was offended by his words and actions.
Zalde and I have been friends since we were 12 years old. I wouldn't call them "friends", but they probably know each other.
He's stuck to me like glue ever since his father told him he'd be in beta for this pack. Even if you push it away, it will come right back.
"I have a few questions, and I would like to hear from you, Damon."
"Tell that to Alpha. It's none of my business."
"This is not your father's business. This is your business." I turned and saw him holding the papers. "What is it?" I asked
"Letter from the Council of Elders. 'They want to see you at the Filament of Questioning before the end of the year.' It is different in that a panel is set up to prevent you from doing so, and if you are found guilty, you will be thrown into one of the dungeons in the building.
In many cases, most werewolves never come back.
"Fucking woman," I spat. "You have no right to call me there. I'm sure Alpha Xenon is behind it all."
"what?"
"Your father, Alpha Vizio, is behind all this," Zalde said, lifting his finger to the sky.
"He reported some of your activities to the elders. How he killed our men trying to save Soleil, how he left behind what really happened, and how Alpha Zenon visited. His report only prompted them to do what they had been proposing for some time. Damon, you didn't take an oath of allegiance, and from then on those guys stood right behind you, watching your every move, waiting for your failures so that you could be taken down. You knew you were there." Zarde's eyes lit up. Anger is over.
"Don't pretend you don't hate me for not taking the Pledge of Allegiance. At least you could have been the Beta your father wanted before he died," I spit.
"Don't drag my father into this, Damon."
"Why? How different was he from my father? He served the same Aloha. They're both involved in all these stupid crimes, right? Make your father a saint." Don't pretend to be,' I insisted.
"He never did anything wrong, so he deserves respect. Don't say any more stupid things about my father or you'll regret it." Zalde gritted his teeth. I could see him starting to change. I took a better stance and was ready for battle.
"Don't bite with your teeth, Zalde. You can still go to my father and become his Beta. He will be happy if you do. "
"Believe it or not, my loyalty is to you," he replied.
"And for a second I thought you were going to kill me." I relaxed a little.
"Unlike you, my animal cannot control my body. I control the wolf. 'You are your beast. I can't," he said to me. The face before he walks out the door. Suddenly the door opened and Zalde appeared again.
"I'll be back in the evening. Make up your mind before then. You can't escape this time. The elders are chasing you. I need a solution to get you out of this problem." He glared at me and walked away.
Damn, I slammed my hand on the chair and cursed repeatedly while trying to figure out what happened.
Things only get worse when I go after his father and confront him. You have to attack him in ways he never imagined in his life before, but only one of him can do it.
I pulled out my rarely used phone and called Luke. He gained weight quickly.
Damon: What the hell? Do you know how many times I tried to call you?
"I should have been more careful," I said.
"I know I failed. I know I didn't do it right. This is my battle, demon. These girls have nothing to do with it. "
"White Angel Luke needs you," I demanded.
"Why? Do you know how dangerous it is?"
"A lot has happened, so if you want to save my daughter, come here this week and bring me as much information as you can that will help me."
"What about the other girl?"
"Is she trying to negotiate with me?"
"I have no choice. She's like a sister to me."
"Let her go out of business"
"No, Daemon, you can't do that. She's an innocent child, so it can't be. "
"Let me tell you, Luke. I can't leave her to you. She's mine now."
"That's impossible, Damon. You wouldn't do that to me. She didn't even deserve this! He cried.
"Take it or leave it. If you lock Soleil out, give her back her daughter and let her father rot in hell. You know what to do when you make the final decision." He cursed before hanging up angrily. I did the same and sat down on the floor. I asked myself what the hell I was doing.
