"Stay, Zuri!" he almost yelled this time. Jaden knew that it wasn't her fault. She was oblivious to what she was doing to him – to the effect that she had on him.
Zuri was hurt. What had she done to the prince? She had only wanted to wipe off something from his shirt. Her gaze went from the prince to his desk, then the window, and back to Jaden. Then, quickly, she turned around and ran out of Jaden's chambers.
"Zu-" Jaden wanted to call, but she was already out the door before he could get her name out of his mouth.
Jaden walked to the wall and threw a hard punch into it, making the area crack a little and some chips fell to the ground.
He grabbed a glass from the wardrobe and a bottle of liquor that was on his table, pouring a generous amount, Jaden muttered to himself inaudibly.
