When Jessica and Jaden went to Jaden's private chambers, the prince told Khad to make sure that no one comes into the hallway of his private chambers. He needed to tell Jessica some things and they needed to be out of earshot of any human or vampire.
"I think we both need to go through the people that take care of Stephan…"
"What do you-" Jessica wanted to say as her brain started to work in her head; "You mean his maids?"
"Yes…"
"Why?"
"They have been the ones taking care of him and despite the medicines, he doesn't seem to get better. The way I saw him today, Jess, I didn't like it," Jaden said as he leaned forward and placed his elbows on his knees. He was directly opposite Jessica who had a thinking look on her face.
She listened closely to what her brother was saying but at the same time, she had not gotten hold of the point that Jaden was trying to make.
"You mean they are not taking proper care of him?"
