"Now I understand why this mortal is revered by many."
Geswald sucked in a breath of admiration.
"What do you mean?"
The princess asked with a slightly incredulous face. The two were watching the sparring match from atop the fort wall using visual enhancement arts.
"He is mortal yet he is somehow keeping up with my son. This feat is nothing short of amazing and from what I have heard he cannot use any mystic arts."
Geswald explained the reason of his acknowledgement of the mortal. He had been skeptical about Karlmine but now he understood that he was indeed a remarkable warrior actually when considering what he was doing calling him a monster would not he wrong. His son the said Heilis was a remarkable soldier with those who could match him in swordsmanship in the entire elven army less that ten.
"Oh that, I am actually surprised he hasn't changed this trait of his even though he is an amnesiac."
The princess just shrugged as if she heard expected this all along. Geswald who was a renowned swordsman himself had fought many races but he had not gotten the pleasure of facing the Sword beast of Regulis so he did not get what the princess was saying.
"What do you mean my Lady?"
He probed even further.
"Karlmine is what you might call a lazy person or an efficient user of energy. When he is facing an opponent he gauges that individual's strength and responds by using the minimum amount of strength needed to defeat his opponent one that is a few degrees better than his opponent's just enough to tip the scales to his favour."
"So what you mean is____"
"Just watch I am sure things are about change."
It was true the old man's son's breathing was now erratic, it was clear that he was actually worn out but Karlmine was still energetic actually it was as if he had done nothing.
(So that was it.) Old man Geswald though, this explained the feeling he had when they first met apparently this human spawn had a deceptive approach to combat. If only he knew how wrong he was.
Just then everything began to change just like the princess had
