"Bel-da-ndy."
Karlmine recited her voice disjointly. His memory was still hazy but he now vaguely recalled that event.
"Yes, you said it was a very beautiful name. I was clearly older than you but you comforted me and protected me."
Her smile never looked more dazzling and dearer than at that moment with the teary eyes that gleamed as they caught the sunlight of the rising sun.
"What happened after that?"
"You escorted me to the edge of the river and handed me to my brother who had been looking for me. You promised we will see each other again but then two years later we received news of your execution and I was devastated."
Her tears streamed down her cheeks and she started crying, with an emotional level that was very low he had no idea what to do but seeing her tears he had no choice but to embrace her back causing her to weep even more.
(So there was an event like that behind her complete trust in me huh?) He thought.
"Apologies, was I not supposed to do that?"
He asked with perplex and withdrew his hands.
"No i-its okay I am just happy."
She stifled her cry and smiled.
"Then why are you crying?"
"People some times do that when they are happy."
Her vulnerable tear stained face looked alluring enough to cause his cold heart to churn with uncomfortable warmth giving rise to a feeling he had no apprehension of.
