Arkheenah pretended to be angry andd frowned, the expression it self was cute even Karlmine felt it was rather beautiful but his expression remained unchanged.
"That is the truth but considering your position in this entire fort it is abnormal."
What Karlmine was referring to was her being the leader of the fort as such by this time she should be monitoring her soldiers and other military issues.
"You are astute sigh____ as I have mentioned before the war is faring poorly for our side and the stalemate is about to tip and not in our favour. For the past weeks our enemy has been quiet but none of our scouts have made it back yet so we do not know what to do. However because of the war our resources are starting to dwindle and there is no way to effectively get more. Our soldier are getting anxious it is all I can do to control the flow of information from reaching them but even they are starting to notice that we are about to lose. Furthermore the ogres who have been proactively attacking us and other elven tribes suddenly stopped and I have no idea what they are planning."
What the princess was doing was not exactly discussing but more like ranting, it was only in such times that she acted like a girl her appearance suggested. She bit her lip in frustration but Karlmine raised his hand and rested it on her head before starting to caress it like she was a child greatly shocking the princess
"It sounds to me like you have it all figured out princess so that is what I will do. I will go and check that out for you."
His face had not changed, it was a emotionless as it was when they met on the forest but she saw it, maybe it was her own imagination but his eyes contained a small spark of warmth.

For someone who was speaking about his possible demise he was way too candid about it.
