Elven winter was upon the land, even though their bodies were much sturdier than that of mortals, the elves were all wearing protective clothing made of wool. Yet despite all that, the only human in the fort was actually wearing a light shirt and seated alone on top of a tree. He seemed to prefer it that way but it was also partially due to the negative response from the other elves.
He continually scrunched and released his hand while staring at it the reason being____
(That was more potent than I intended.) The one who actually did the attack was also slightly disturbed, he had intended to show the idiotic elf the difference between their power but the force he ended up exerting was exaggerated a lot.
(Like I imagined something is wrong with my body.) Colour was heightened, hearing was extremely sensitive, his skin was even more cold tolerant than the elves and in general his body was always vibrant, he felt like someone with a blood rush frequently. And now he had just discovered that his strength was insanely high.

One evening he was plucked from his state of solitude by a knock.
"May I come in."
The cheerful light voice naturally belonged to Beldandy who opened the door even before Karlmine had gave consent.
"Bel? How can I assist you?"
He asked, his tone was tinged with interest, she was one girl she could not exactly tell what was going on in her head. Since that day everyone save for the princess was keeping him at arm's length not to say he had many associates before to begin with. He had not seen her since that fight where she seemed to have been finally spooked by him but here she was and not only that she was even smiling at him.
"I came to apologise."
She replied with a guilty hollow smile.
"And what for exactly?"
"You must have been lonely all this time right?"
"What gave you that ridiculous idea?"
He replied indifferently, it was true somehow he found being lonely satisfactory for him but____
"Because I know so, I know how painful being alone is and having no one to talk to____ Azrael are you okay?"
Beldandy rushed towards him and gently held his head. The words she uttered just now triggered some memory fragments and as always this came with a head splitting headache.
I know how lonely it is having no one to talk to we are in the same boat now literally.
He had no idea to whom he had directed these words to but he was assured it was of utmost importance almost like his life depended on it the only problem was that the more he tried to probe deeper into his mind the more unbearable the headache became.
"Aarrrrgggghhh."
He screamed in agony but he forced himself to dig deeper into his brain, this state of amnesia was frustrating for him even though he rarely showed it.
The assemblage changed and suddenly saw her, no doubt about it but this was Beldandy. He had no idea what she was doing in his memory but she was right there.
His headache got to a point where he felt as if he was being incinerated until____
"Karl, calm down you are not alone."
His thoughts cleared and his head that was heating up with pain started cooling down allowing him to open his eyes. Beldandy was holding his head while chanting in a low tone.
"Gracious deity mother of good fortune grant repose to this soul and rebuke your wrath from him."
The spell was quite effective allowing his mind to gain some clarity, he had not been forthcoming at all. The main reason he chose solitude was not because he was being shunned by the rest of the village but because he was suffering from blackouts, his memories seemed to be on the verge of returning but somehow they were overwhelming him and scrambling his unstable mind in the process.
