"I have an idea. You guys don't have to fight."
Despite Tou's announcement, Cerat and Tou still went on with their fighting.
Fists, elbows, anything. Cerat through anything and everything at Tou. At first, Tou had been winning, but his advantage was quickly put down.
"Take this! And this!"
Julian's pale face was painted with blood, his nose swollen, and his eyes closed tightly.
"No one can die in here, Cerat."
Cerat stopped his beat down. He looked at Tou, then looked at Julian.
Tou had a blank expression.
Julian glared at Cerat, angry. But he couldn't do anything about Cerat's overwhelming strength.
"Why'd you let us fight, knowing that?" Cerat asked, a lot calmer than before. He wiped the blood off his knuckles.
"That's because this was an interesting fight to watch."
Cerat jumped off Julian. Julian was still on the ground, tired and in pain.
"Then what's gonna happen? Who's getting possession?"
"Both of you."
"Huh?"
Cerat and Julian both said in unison, despite Julian being on the ground.
"I was thinking while watching you guys fight."
"What were you thinking about?" Julian asked, finally getting up. Cerat took no notice of the boy.
"I don't remember. I'm not sure if I even thought."
"So why did you-"
"I'll split my body."
All of a sudden, it made sense to Julian. The cast he had used beforehand.
"You're gonna split it? Will that work?"
"I know it will. I've done it before."
"I didn't see it in the memories, though."
Tou completely ignored Julian's statement, continuing to speak. "There's a few rules."
"Wait, wait. What's this whole… split thing?" Cerat asked, being the only one unaware.
"It's a cast. Don't worry too much about it."
"Okay, then."
"The first rule is that you guys have to stick close together. If you guys are far apart for too long, you'll die."
Cerat and Julian sighed but were compliant.
"Go ahead and do it, then."
Tou got between the two of them. He placed his hand on the ground.
"Goodbye, guys. Forever."
"Yeah, yeah. Get on with it."
"Thank you for this, Tou."
[Cast: Split]
The ground started to shake. A crack was forming.
