Four tire wheels slowly ran along Trans-Taiga road, at the northern Quebec . Olivia forced a frown on her face as she drove her Tesla Model X along the isolated road. Today was supposed to be her day off, but just when she'd just woken up this morning, she got a call from the hospital due to some random emergency. For some reason, there was always an emergency only when she was about to take a break. She regret not putting off her cellphone before she went to sleep last night, knowing how hard it was to for her to ignore an emergency. Welp! It was too late by then, she was already on her way to work.
She was still veering her Tesla along the forested freeway when her phone buzzed. With a peek followed by a loud groan of discomfort, she took her phone and answered the call. "What is it?"
"Dr. Olivia, we're losing him, what should we do?"
Her once angry expression conformed into that of anxiety, Olivia didn't realize how much she cared for the walfare of others unless she was told by a third party.
When she was a kid, she sadly watched her mother die of suffocation without an idea of how to save her, it left her in an unhealthy trauma that influenced her decision to become a medical practitioner. Moreover, she couldn't stand to watch a dying person or a victim in distress. She didn't realize it but Olivia was the reason most people were still alive and healthy. "Have you given the patient an anesthetic?"
"Yes, but he still seems to be in discomfort." The nurse at the other side replied.
"Okay, you know what?..." As Olivia was about to say something, she caught an unbelievable sight in the woods, it was a galloping shiny black stallion, however, even as though it galloped, Olivia couldn't keep her sight in accordance with it's speed, she had to park her vehicle in order to take a closer view. The horse was so agile and fast, she could only see it's hooves as they trampled consecutively on the ground.
Though there were many horses around Canada, Olivia had never come across this kind. For starters, she knew horses were supposed to be in stables and not in the woods, that is, except they were taken out for a ride. She could've also assumed that this horse got lost and separated from it's rider, but it didn't seem like it didn't know where it was going, the Stallion navigated it's way through the woods, then it immediately disappeared in the woods that any man could see with a telescopic vision of about 20 miles away. What did she just see, a mystery horse running away from her?
"Dr Olivia, Dr Olivia? Are you there?"
"Uhn?" She came back to her awareness and realized that she was still on the phone with her co-worker. "Yeah, make sure to give the patient some pain medications, that would help calm him down until I get there."
"Affirmative." The call ended with syncing beep and a buzz. Olivia then sighed, she didn't know what she had just witnessed, but she definitely knew that she wasn't dreaming.
