After an amazing battle against hordes of angry wild Pokémons, Kaori and Blue were having the campfire alongside Ash, Misty and Brock.
"So, let me get this straight. You were doing some night training but accidentally angered a hive of Beedrill." Blue.
"Yes." Brock.
"Afterwards, Ash tried to fight them off with his Primeape but he attacked him instead." Kaori.
"Exactly." Misty.
"So, in the end, the idiot fell here and yelled, waking up even more wild Pokémon that we had to defeat." Blue.
"Hey! I'm not an idiot!" Ash.
*BONK*
Misty clobbered Ash in the head and pinch his ear.
"Shut up you idiot, do you want to attract wild Pokémon?!" Misty (Menacing Whisper).
"Sorry…" Ash rubbed his ear to ease the pain.
"Going back to the subject, what is that about Ash getting attacked by his own Pokémon?" Kaori.
'This is perfect, now I can help Ash to train him. I won't allow him release any more Pokémon, except maybe Goodra, Pidgeot and Lapras, but only because they had family issues, I think.' Kaori.
"A few days ago, Ash fought a Mankey that stole his cap, the Mankey evolved and Ash captured him." Misty.
"However, Primeape seems to have a grudge against Ash and refuses to help him in any way, worst yet, he attacks both Ash and his Pokémons so, he remains in his Pokéball most of the time." Brock.
"You are such an idiot Ash, capturing a Pokémon that's way ahead of your league." Blue.
"Hey!" Ash.
"Now, now Blue. Remember that you tried to catch a legendary Pokémon with just Charmander and Scyther." Kaori.
"How do you know about that?!" Blue.
"I have my ways, *COUGH* *COUGH* Red."
'That dam idiot!' Blue.
"Wait, Blue tried to catch a legendary Pokémon?!" Ash.
"That's another story for another time. For now, talk about your Primeape." Kaori.
"He's so stubborn and doesn't listen to me, he was annoying before but now he is a danger to my team." Ash.
"Now, there's the problem." Kaori.
"¿?" Everyone else.
"You see Ash, it may be true that Primeape is kind of violent but, isolating him from yourself or your team will only result on him despising you even more." Kaori.
"Then, what should I do?" Ash.
"Talk to him, know him, befriend him. It may be difficult with how much he hates you but…a good trainer never gives up with his partner." Kaori then leaves the campfire and heads over his tent.
Everyone remained in silence thinking of what Kaori just said.
"I really can't understand that guy. He sometimes acts as if he's just a kid and sometimes as an adult, and he's just 14." Blue.
"Yeah, but he really likes Pokémons that's for sure." Misty.
"Indeed." Brock.
Ash takes out Primeape's Pokéball and starts to think about what Kaori just said to him.
'A partner huh? When I began my adventure with Pikachu, he didn't listen to my commands, but after I gained his trust and friendship, we've become a great team. Thanks Kaori, I know what I have to do now.' Ash.
"Primeape, come out!" Ash.
Primeape comes out from his Pokéball and angrily looks at his surroundings. Afterwards, he rushes towards Fearow and attacks him with Thrash.
Fearow covers his wing in Flying energy and delivers a powerful Wing Attack. Primeape falls back and crashes unto a tree.
"Primeape!" Ash.
Ash rushes towards Primeape's direction and tries to help him. Meanwhile, Fearow prepares for another attack.
"Fearow…" Kaori's spoke from inside his tent.
"Go to sleep now or you will not participate in the remaining Gym Battles."
Fearow returns to his sleeping position but Primeape doesn't stops and attacks Fearow. In that moment, the very last moment Monferno grabbed Primeape's fist and delivered a powerful Fire Punch.
Primeape crashes unto a tree but Ash used his body to soften his crash.
"Are you okay Primeape?" Ash.
Primeape's eyes start getting somewhat watery after he saw Ash's self-sacrifice.
'Oh, please! It can't be that easy, right?!' Kaori.
Primeape snaps from his trance and rapidly enters back into his Pokéball.
"What just happened?" Misty.
"No idea." Brock.
"Well, good night. I've had enough nonsense for today." Blue.
While everyone was going to their respective tents, Ash remained near the campfire wondering about something.
'If Monferno is that strong then, how much stronger will he become once he evolves?' Ash.
The next morning, Kaori woke up early and did his normal routine to strengthen his team. He did some high-speed maneuvering with Fearow and Beedrill, resistant training with Eevee and flexibility training with Monferno.
Haunter has been resting since the Celadon and hasn't responded to any type of noise or movement from anyone.
'System, is Haunter ok?'
[Answer: He should be ok; he should return to normal in about a week]
'Thanks.' Kaori.
After a while training, everyone else woke up after Kaori finished his last set.
"Wow, never expected you to wake up that early." Blue.
"Well, it is something very fun to do, plus it helps me burn out the calories of the pile of foods that I eat." Kaori.
"I was wondering how could you eat so much and never got fat." Blue.
"Anyway, it was fun spending some time with you guys but, I'll go to Saffron to battle Sabrina." Kaori.
"Me to, I really need to go to the Celadon casino." Blue.
"Dang Blue. I know a guy that can help you with your addiction." Kaori.
"Say what you want. There's a rare Pokémon that is worth 9,999 coins, I'm sure that it'll be a great addition to my team." Blue.
"Yeah, right, sure. Just take the number and call when you are ready to talk about your issues." Kaori.
"Screw you!" Blue takes off towards Celadon.
"Well, since that's out of the way, I want you to give this to Ash." Kaori.
Kaori takes a book with the title "Annihilape" and hands it over to Brock.
"What's this?" Brock.
"Just an old book that can help Ash train Primeape and that'll help him bond with him." Kaori.
Kaori picks up his belongings and departs towards Saffron. While traveling, the system made a question.
[Host, why didn't you remained with Ash if you wanted to help him?]
'Weird, the system making a question.'
'It was because I realized after saving Eevee events may unfold differently depending on y actions, yes, its true that the manga and anime protagonists almost never interact and that the show revolves around Ash. But I want a better outcome to play out.' Kaori.
[Could you elaborate]
'Ok look, this world is far more different than the original Pokémon world. Lynn is a homicidal maniac with a baby Arceus as her pet, I have no idea how Mark and Kate will be and the Team Rocket doesn't have gym leaders working with them. So, in other words, I just want to let things play out and only intervene here and there.'
[I see]
'Was there a problem system?'
[Not at all host, it's just that I don't understand your goal in this world]
'Well, what do you know, it's the cliché of the system gaining personality.'
'I just want to enjoy this world that I love so much until my last breath, not be a God or transcend into a superior being. Just, enjoy the new life that I was given.'
With those words said, Kaori made his way towards Saffron.
