Chapter 3 - 3. Rollan scar

Ayuma Pov's

Rollan's Airbus ACJ19 finally flew out of the Java sky to Borneo. It's already 11 p.m.; my body feels exhausted; I haven't showered since earlier; I'm sleepy and tired, but my brain is still sane; I'm not willing to shower or sleep if this damn man is next to me. I had to bear it all to take care of myself.

"Babe, don't you want to sleep?"

"Stop calling me nasty things like that," I replied curtly.

"Well, what do you want me to call you, miss?" He asked with a friendly smile that looked so contrived that it was downright creepy.

I immediately looked away, reluctant to look at him. Because he made me sick.

But the man didn't give up.

Rollan got up from his seat and immediately grabbed my chin so that I could see him clearly, including his scars, which I did not want to see at all.

"Why do you always shy away when looking at my wounds, baby? You're just like me, aren't you?" I'm not forgetting about this wound," he said as he grabbed my hand and forced my fingers to touch his left face.

Rollan got up from his seat and immediately grabbed my chin so that I could see him clearly, including his scars, which I did not want to see at all.

"Why do you always shy away when looking at my wounds, baby? You're just like me, aren't you? I'm not forgetting about this wound," he said, grabbing my hand and forcing my fingers to touch his face.

My hand immediately trembled, and I reflexively jerked my hand away and averted my gaze, but because he was still gripping my chin, he forced me to keep looking at him.

"You're still able to look at me with that murderous gaze; now why is it different?"

"None of your business, Rollan," I said curtly.

"Of course, it's my business, darling. You're mine, and one of the rules you have to follow is that you don't have a single secret behind my back."

"Your nonsensical rules prove your insanity, don't they?"

"Whatever, as long as you're with me, you must do as I ask and not let me find out your secret myself. Otherwise...."

"If not, what will you do?" I challenged.

Rollan just smiled. "You don't need to know what I'm going to do. So, what did you talk to your dear husband about?"

"Get out of my way, Rollan!"

Alright, I'll get out of your way, but first, there's one more thing I want to ask you."

"What is it?"

"Have you told my dear dad if you're with me?" he asked. "I wonder what his reaction would be."

Enough was enough; my patience had completely run out with this man. Without warning, I immediately put my foot down.

"Ouch!" Rollan cried out in pain.

Two of his bodyguards and his assistant immediately turned to us as soon as they heard his scream. Seeing their boss limping from my kick, his assistant came to us.

"What are you doing, huh?" snapped his assistant while pulling my hand roughly and making me almost fall.

When I almost fell, Rollan quickly pulled my body into his arms. The warmth of his embrace somehow immediately made my heart beat faster.

"Don't be rude, Ridwan; she will soon be my wife. You must learn to respect her."

God forbid!

I immediately stepped aside, away from her.

I completely forgot how many hours I had been asleep because no one woke me up. Outside, the sun was already shining very brightly, but the atmosphere in this villa was completely deserted, like there were no people at all, even though several maids were working there last night.

Knock... knock... knock...

My bedroom door was knocked on from the outside.

"Who?"

"Me, Sari, ma'am."

Oh, the maid from last night

"Can I come in?" she asked again.

"Wait a minute." I walked to the door, but just as I was about to open it, I realized it was locked from the outside.

"Damn it!" I cursed. I guess because I was exhausted from the long journey last night, I fell asleep as soon as I arrived, so I forgot to lock the door from the inside. Luckily, my carelessness wasn't taken advantage of by the damn man; he only locked the room from the outside.

"Mom, can I come in?" he asked again in an urgent voice.

"You can come in if you have the key," I said exasperatedly, annoyed at my carelessness.

Squeak.

The door opened immediately from the outside. Sari, the maid who looked a few years older than me, appeared with a trolley full of food. From fried bread, fried rice, and traditional snacks like dadar gulung, tahu isi, and risol to various fruits, detox juice, coffee, jasmine tea, and water,

"Is all this food for me?" I asked as I walked towards the sofa in this room.

"Yes, ma'am. Mr. Rollan asked us to prepare all this food for Ayuma's mother. But we apologize for not knowing your favorite foods, so the chef prepared all this for you."

"I can't eat everything," I said as I took a piece of fried bread. As soon as the soft bread filled with crimson jam entered my mouth, all the hunger I had been holding back since last night disappeared immediately. "Where's Rollan?"

"Mr. Rollan went to visit his palm oil plantation," Sari replied. "Would you like coffee, tea, juice, or water, ma'am?"

"Water and coffee."

Sari quickly poured the water from the teapot into a glass and handed it to me.

"How long does it take to get here from the palm oil plantation?" I asked.

"Hmm, about an hour's drive, ma'am."

"Is there an unused car here?"

Sari frowned. She looked at me with a suspicious gaze, like she knew that I was planning something.

"You take it easy; I wouldn't have left without Rollan's permission. Besides, I can't drive," I lied. "I need a charger for my phone; it's only 10 percent charged."

"Take it easy, ma'am; the charger and all of your needs have been prepared; please open the cupboards and drawers," he said with a smile. "You'll find clothes, jewelry, skincare, makeup chargers, and more."

I got up from my seat and walked towards the only closet in the room. When the closet door opened, I was wide-eyed to see dozens of expensive clothes in there. Not yet finished with my shock at seeing my wardrobe, I turned to the smaller wardrobe. As soon as the door opened, there was a lot of jewelry neatly arranged in this place.

I gulped; it wasn't that I never saw things like this. I was born the daughter of Rahmat Wijaya, and for twenty-six years of my life, my father's family had always provided for all my needs, whatever I wanted, until finally, everything changed.

"Ma'am..."

I snapped out of my reverie and turned to Sari.

"What's wrong?"

"Sorry, ma'am, if there's nothing else needed, I have to go out and get back to work."

"Door, please don't lock it."

"I'm sorry, ma'am, Mr. Rollan's order can't be denied. I dare not violate it," Sari said with a polite smile that was annoying to my eyes. "Excuse me, but I'll come back when it's time for lunch and snacks."

As soon as Sari walked out and locked me up again, I ran to the nightstand beside my bed. Dad, I have to call him. I have to tell him what happened to me this time.
