" Auntie..."
"Don't call me such things; your mouth doesn't deserve calling me auntie. Get you out of the swimming pool now!"
I sighed and was compelled to get out of the pool with my head dropped. I was not afraid of Rollan's mom, but I wasn't sure I could answer all the questions that might come from her.
At the moment, for some reason, instead of asking God to keep Rollan away from me, I prayed the reverse, hoping that the lunatic man could save me from the grips of danger that might come from his mother.
I walked into the living room with a soaked body. Citra came with a towel and bathrobe for me, but Alesandra grabbed them and stepped on them like she was intentionally trying to humiliate me.
"Get out!" Alesandra shooed Citra away. "And don't come before I call you."
"I'm sorry, ma'am, but Mr. Rollan won't allow me to leave this place, and I must always stay with Ms. Ayu," Citra said firmly.
"You dare to go against me?"
"No ma'am, but..."
I shook my head. "No problem, Citra; I'm fine."
"Are you sure?"
I nodded firmly, and besides, what could Alesandra do to me? Aside from getting angry, which wouldn't have much impact, if she asked me to leave her son's hands, I would gladly accept.
Anyway, who the heck wants to be by her son's side? No one!
"Sit down!" she ordered strictly.
Alesandra Shah deserved the praise; she truly deserved to be the wife and mother of a mobster. This woman was heartless and had absolutely no mercy.
I sat down with a wet body and a bikini; these two pieces of flimsy fabric didn't help me at all, and damn it, I don't know when the air conditioning in this room was turned down to its lowest point until the temperature almost made me shiver.
Goddamn, ny tropical skin can't stand the biting cold.
"What on earth are you thinking right now?" asked Mrs. Rollan after a few minutes of torment with the silence and the freezing temperature.
"What do you mean, aunt... you?"
"Don't act silly, you little fool! You perfectly know what I mean. Dwelling in my son's place, clinging to him like a leech, after you left him for another man. Did your parents never teach you any manners? That you've forgotten about your status as someone else's wife?"
Of course, I remember: Who would ever want to live with your evil son? I muttered to myself in my mind. I tried to restrain myself as much as possible. I didn't want to get into more trouble.
"Answer my question, you fucking bitch!"
Prang!!
"Aww!!!"
I yelled out in such heat after Alesandra threw the glass filled with hot coffee on the floor that the hot coffee splashed on my skin. I winced at the painful burning of the heat.
"Answer my fucking question! Have you truly been kidnapped by my son, or are you whoring yourself out to my son right now?"
I was gazing at Alesandra's face when, for some reason, crazy courage suddenly appeared, probably because my ego was aroused due to Alesandra's bad attitude towards me, which was painful.
Alright, my patience is gone. It's time for me to repay her for her bad attitude.
"I don't want to do that either, ma'am," I replied after a long silence. "I'm not prostituting myself!"
Alesandra raised her eyebrows; she gave me a very condescending look.
"Then what did you do?"
"Your son brought me here," I said hoarsely. I never wanted such a crazy thing in my life!" I shouted in frustration.
"Liar!"
I bit my lip in anger. "What would I lie for, ma'am?"
Alesandra didn't answer; she just glared at me angrily. Seeing that she didn't say anything, I spoke again.
"I'm the victim here, and if you can guarantee that if I get out of here, I'll be safe, then I'll leave immediately!"
"You've dared me, huh?"
"Not a dare," I said shortly. "As I said, if you can guarantee my protection from your sons' ruthless behavior, I will leave straight away. And rest assured, I will never report this matter to the police, nor shall I ever show myself to him."
"How dare you! How dare you threaten me, woman?"
Whatever, I didn't care about Alesandra's babbling anymore. I wanted to leave so badly, and if Alesandra's current anger at me was going to be my ticket to leaving, then I was going to make her even angrier until she got fed up.
All I have to do seems to be to make her even angrier.
I smiled. "Maybe."
Alesandra glared angrily, and all her swearing came right out, making her exactly like an in-law who hates her son-in-law.
I looked at her in surprise; she was indeed rude and looked at me with a condescending gaze, but I didn't expect that she would let out such an expletive at me.
"Only a lowlife could utter such trashy words!"
Alesandra got up from her seat, stood before me, and gave me an angsty gaze.
Plak!
Damn it! I didn't expect her to slap me like this; even though I was aiming for Alesandra's anger, I didn't expect her to be this violent.
"You will immediately understand your position, woman!" she said. "If my son has kidnapped you from your husband, then be polite to me because there won't be anyone who can save you."
After saying that, she walked away from me.
After Alesandra left, I immediately fell limp and started crying. My heart ached from all her insults, but what could I do but answer her?
