Noah grinned. His eyes conveyed his desire to finish the one-eyed bear who had harmed the people of Stormfront but what made him go after the dangerous beast was his past which was related to the old man.

This was the same bear who had killed Old Man's family ruthlessly.

Previously an old man alone tried to take care of the brown bear but he was no match for him. He was not even able to stay ten minutes against him but due to his skills, he had managed to injure his left eye permanently and escaped his death.

Noah poured the small glass bottle onto the red blade. The darkish-green fluid fell in drops on the icy surface.

The Brown Bear swooped at Him, blowing snow all around him but Noah rolled away in time and slashed at the bear. Then he hopped away stabilizing his footing on the ground, as the bear wailed in pain.

Noah has specifically prepared poison for the bear through his knowledge of the herbs and plants. It was his most deadly creation and he was quite proud of it.

After all, he had tasted various plants which led to gaining immense knowledge in the field of Alchemy. Either it's a healing potion, mana potion, or creating poisons for the enemies. He learned all by himself without any official teacher with the help of an old man and the strange drawings which were little to no help for him. he was not an official Alchemist

Who learns crafts from Academy but a village boy that learned the craft even before attaining his Academy life.

The brown bear swung down his claws but the human had rolled sideways nearing his tail, another heavy strike made him struggle away in pain yet the beast recovered and tried to bite his head off with his deadly jaws.

Noah dropped down, pushing his left hand forward into the jaws as if he was volunteering himself to give away his hand.

The bystanders gaped, with horror on their faces as bursts of flames spewed out from the hand of a young man, that directly slapped against the open mouth of the bear.

The thick fur got charred by the flames that lasted for three seconds, as well as the tongue got toasted.

Bear violently stepped away, roaring and growling as the tiny human struggled his way to his feet.

The brown bear shook his head, attempting to claw his face for a while then darted his eyes back at the moving entity. He rushed at him, moving his heavy body after the human.

Noah hurried forward to the large tree, mustering everything inside his body to run faster. He knew it was impossible to outrun the bear but he had something else in mind as well as was well aware of the fact that if he ended up in his clutches he would surely lose his life.

The lead guy had a bow and shot arrows toward the feral bear but it didn't make any impact even after it struck hard into its fur.

He was the father of Jamia and a son of a shopkeeper who was a good friend of Noah's Grandfather. He was a renowned hunter and had taken responsibility to protect the young man before tailing the bear.

Other people yelled and waved as they tried to distract the giant bear but it was ineffective as he was too focused on Noah.

Noah felt the presence behind him was coming too close instinctively but he did not stop, he moved forward until the tree trunk was before him. He stepped on a tree trunk moving upward three steps enough to jump over the bear, as he did he used his momentum to push himself away from the trunk.

Bear bumbled on the trunk as the human back flipped over him. avoiding the collision and using the same opportunity to deal some damage. He dug his red blade inside the bear's wide open back, pushing hard inside it.

The huge body stumbled sideways as Noah pulled out the sword huffing and kicking the motionless bear. The arrows hung on his body as the bear lay unmoved.

Dara cheered at the sight. The young man had managed to slay the infamous beast who terrorized the entire village of Stormfront. He was well aware of Noah's capabilities and knew he was a strong man but he never had expected he could kill this bear without breaking a sweat, even adventurers hate to get into fights with large monsters like a bear.

He went one on one with the beast and slain it before their eyes. They valued the exhilaration and had made up their mind to tell this story at least a thousand times. No one can kill a bear alone but Noah. They were happy and shouted the praises but on the other hand, Noah was silent and cautious.

Although by seeing the scene he had managed to slaughter the bear but the quest had not been completed yet, he had not gotten his five hundred exp from the quest and that means only one thing... The bear was alive.

The body of the bear moved who came across as out-cold a moment ago, it jerked awake to life and growled back at him.

Noah's back touched the trunk in fear as he saw the movements of the bear. He was trapped between the bear and a tree. There was another way to get around the tree but even if he were to do that he cannot possibly keep up with the bear's speed. The bear could easily catch up to him and there will be nothing he could use as a shield.

The by-standards went back to silent mode, eyes widened with anticipation, to see what will happen next and what the young man will do.

Dara stepped forward, ready to aim at the huge bear but his hands shook aimlessly, he felt powerless to aim or to even call out for Noah.

"Fuck! Fuck" Noah mumbled, jumping to grab the branch that hung low and swiftly climbed up.

The bear broke the branches as he tried to follow Noah slowly, his face revealed burns and starvation.

Noah stepped on the branch and looked down as a bear followed him like a lizard, he was high up on the tree. The branch that he uses as a stepping stone to dance with the wind.

The area he had stopped had quite a few branches and was less thick than the trunk. His grip on the upper branch tightened as he glared at the tailing beast.

'Of course, he can climb the tree' Noah thought but his expression was relaxed.

"Good boy, thanks for following Mutt" He muttered then summoned the blunt sword in his other hand.

It was obvious he was in a dire situation and the poison he had used showed no instant effect, all he saw was a green vein forming in the bear's white eyes. The poison was working for sure but what he was afraid of was the time, he was sure the beast would catch him before the poison did.

He tried to remain calm, he had made up his mind before taking on his quest, he will not die at any cost, not after all the training and several levels up in two years. He was stronger now, stronger than before.

He also had earned a fire through the Star skills after level-up, but he was quite bad at it. His max limit for using fire breath was three seconds, no more, and right now his mana was not recovered to even do that.

The best sign that he had run out of mana was a sudden headache. He feels a stinking pain in his brain when he uses too much mana. he cannot use it as he pleases. He was not a mage, he was a warrior. Fuging swordsmen.

"think Noah, Think" he whispered to himself, feeling goosebumps all over his skin.

There was one skill he thought of using at this point as he felt like Shadow strike will be useless for him. Who wants to assassinate the bear from behind? Will that even work? It is already hard to penetrate his thick furry hide, let alone finish him in one strike.

The skill he thought of using was a Power Throw.
