They need more money than I do. Their quest must not fail even if the quest-giver failed.
I did feel bad for them and that was why I offered them the rest of the things, but my main reason for not taking armor and gears was my inventory. It was goddamn full.
Dog shit... Even leather gloves and leather shoes could not fit inside that tiny space. I had to wear it so I could carry it with me.
The heavy-looking sword that was crafted by a local smith was in there and the Red Blade was also inside, only those two things were placed and it was nearly full.
I even had to let go of my damn dagger, I cannot possibly carry it myself all over back to a storm front when I was not able to carry myself properly without taking a ton of rest along the way.
By the way, I changed the name of the Blood Sword to Red Blade, it felt soothing, unlike the blood sword. The Blood Sword's name was creepy and somewhat graceless for me.
The Red color of the blade was enough for me to remember.
We took the same path back and the map from the Scotts inventory ring. The journey was not as tough as I had imagined but we took several breaks due to the snowfall.
I returned the Amulet to Amalia. It was hard to let go of something valuable but it was hers, to begin with not to mention, it had a special spot in her heart.
I was glad she gave me to wear it even for quite a while, it helped me a lot. Of course, not this time but in previous times...
This is messy. I mean all the things that happened, in the past or present. My deaths and their deaths, over and over again, I hope that will not affect my mind.
All that happened was a memory for me and only for me. They have no idea what we have been through, what we did, and how we fought together and died in the process.
That familiarity was something else, they were ready to die for me and I was ready to do the same. I bet they will still do it for me but it never happened.
I wore the leather shoe and the glove. The gears of Beast Slayer.

It was nearly full even after I took out the leather items and equipped them.
The weighting procedure also excludes the item that I wear. Same for the Amulet with 2 defense stats which I wore after passing the Amalia's to hers.
I had nearly 4k gold coins and they are plenty to make me rich in Stormfront. Normally a family of four needs fifty to eighty gold coins to survive for weeks if I only include the villagers.
What do they need? Just food and some minor supplies to survive as they already have their homes and a safe place for themselves. All they will need is mostly the ingredients to make their food.
The Adventurers were thankful and did not forget to mention how I saved their life and they will give their all if I ever need them in the future.
They told me they will head back to Lundane after they escorted me back to Stormfront safely and even invited me to Lundane which was far away from Stormfront.
It was an unforgettable journey for them, due to the events that happened. I do not know how they will deal with the aftermath, I mean like will they openly tell everyone who the fuck Scott was or pretend it never happen and he died while adventuring but as far as I can see option two will be better for everyone.
Proving their innocence and providing proof of Scott's wrongdoings will be troublesome not to mention that he was well-liked. He was a beast slayer after all, even if he was a fake guy. He had connections that could make their life uneasy, who knows? Or maybe I was overthinking about possibilities.
Well fuck it.
I need to focus on me and my weak ass. I am glad at least after this deadly trip I got a powerful weapon. The Red Blade but why does the attack never show in the system?
[ Name - Blood Sword (editable) ( 5.1 kg)
Value - 4000 gold coins
Magic Effects
- Absorbs the life essence of the foe. (25%) per successfully hit.
- Stops the bleeding as long as the user holds it in his hands. ]
The note had disappeared when I thought of not seeing it ever again. That sinister words had left the information panel for good.
Anyway, like defense stats, why does the attack of the weapon never show? Was this usual or was the system buggy?
...
Maybe this is a bug! Glitch! Mistake! Error! Blunder!
[ -_- ]
"..."
What is this? System? Can you read my thoughts? Huh, come on answer me... You shit.
[ Ding! The issue has been detected by the system. ]
[ In the next Update it will be fixed automatically. Thanks for your consideration... :). ]
The puck!
So it was an error to begin with and what does that mean by 'the Issue has been detected by the system'?
You useless system, you ain't do shit. I detected it before you, Are you listening??
No reply came.
I held back from cursing out loud at the system. I am not alone and I don't want them to think I have lost my mind. If they do think that I believe the poor sword will be the one who would have to take the blame.
what about an update? Was it talking like a phone update or something? And how is it going to be updated?
I know I was inside the game but it was a reality for me now, how will it be updated? Without wifi? Is this a still kind of game? What the heck what's going on? This is making me more confused.
"We arrived!" Rex conversed with, with a great smile.
The sky was dark but no star shone. The clouds had concealed all of them pretty tightly. There was no one in sight, but a cold wind.
We made our way to the inn, stomping the snow off from clothes and shoes. The man slept on the chair as he snored loudly. Rex tapped the wooden counter and pushed thirty coins gold coins toward him.
The innkeeper rubbed his eyes as he gave us three keys to rooms and went back to continue sleeping.
He was tired, and so are we.
I removed the gears and jumped on the soft mattress, taking in the warmth. I missed this, this comfort and coziness.
I fell asleep.

The blunt sword blew away the wooden chunks all around as I slashed down. I huffed taking a long breath and then put another small piece of timber over a large log chunk to cut again.
It was the fifth day since I returned from Stormfront with Gramps.
The village was in a jumble when they heard all about the death of the Bandits. We told them they suddenly attacked us and killed the two adventurers and as revenge Remaining two had to deal with them.
They were pleased and immediately believed our words. The trio who used to torment them had finally got slain by brave adventurers. They even offered them a reward as well as a feast before they depart.
Those two left after bidding their farewell to me but did not forget to invite me to their all-over-again homes. They gave me their address and went on their way and me and gramps came back to our home.
From then on I did not waste the opportunity to practice, and swordplay. It was important, I needed to get stronger to save my ass, and the only hope for me was swordsmanship.
It gave a lot of experience points compared to normal tasks.

But hope remains!
I will level up after completing the task... Muhahahah.
Until then push harder.
I heard a gramps call for lunch. I left the blunt heavy-ass sword near the log and ran inside the hut. It's cold outside, not to mention I wore only thin clothes due to the training and wood chopping job.
