We took an opportunity when the red sword fell from Scott's hand to intervene or more likely when his right hand got cut off from the rest of the body.
The scream was ear-pleasing and I don't want to say anything about his crying at all. It was just enjoyable.
All the pain I had been through and all of those times when I wanted to cry and give up finally got paid back.
The Bandit lay in despair at our sudden attack but still had a life in them. I told them not to Kill before we make sure they suffer the pain of their victims.
I squatted near Celia as her shivering eyes locked with mine. I gave her a gentle smile. "How does it feel, My lady? You like others suffering right? What about yours, did you like it?"
"S-spare my life... Please"
The soil beneath her virtually soaked all her blood, as more was dribbling down from her fresh wounds.
The flame mirrored in Celia's shady eyes as Amalia finally delivered mercy to the swift bandit. The fast dog who killed me previously. He died and only his screams were left in the whole tomb.
May the Acropash feel at ease.
"I am not that guy, trust me I am not," I said in muffled words shoving my dagger into her chest, right between her full chest. Her eyes broadened in answer with a silent scream.
I examined Scott who was still breathing, sitting, and leaning on the tomb of Acropash while the red sword dug inside his stomach.
Rex was surely monstrous when it came to revenge, he just gave Scott a taste of his own medicine.
I slowly walked over to him and sat beside him, as we both observed his team members taking care of Dan. He was limping and trying to flee his way and Rex was toying with him.
"The weather is good, don't you think?" I said.
He coughed blood as he attempted to pull out the sword from his abdomen.
"Y-you fucker. You ruined my plan." His voice was weak but his glare had an edge of threat. "Why on earth... Did you join us?"
"Don't blame me, Scotty! I just wanted to get rid of those three idiots with the help of you" I said, frankly. "All the games were my schemes against your schemes and finally I won."
"What do you... Mean-"
"I mean, fuck you. You pissed me off" I smacked his head as he groaned in pain. "Oops does that hurt?"
I darted over to them as Rex showered down his axe finishing his job for good.
"See that? They are really good guys" I let out. "anyway I am taking this from you"
I stood as a pulled-out Blood sword.
Scott's eyes widened as his body tugged with the sword and then again settled down, cold and dead.
The red light subsided into the blade.
[ Name - Blood Sword (editable) ( 5.1 kg)
Magic Effects
- Absorbs the life essence of the foe. (2 - 25℅) per hit successfully hit.
- Stops the bleeding as long as the user holds it in his hands.
Note - to boost the effect rate the user has to slay his close friends. ]
What the fuck is this?
Blood Sword, the name is editable and it's more valuable as if it's a legendary sword.
Boi, I'm rich if I were to sell it.
So this sword absorbed the life essence of foes and transferred it into the user's health points. That's incredible, as long as one has this he can fight for a long duration unless he gets killed in one shot. No time to deal damage to your enemy...
It also stops bleeding, then additional damage is minimized. That is also effective in long battles. This is amazing.
The moment I read the note a strange feeling emerged in my heart. One has to kill his friends to boost the percentage... Thats fucking disgusting.
How many Scott had slain until now? And what about his bullshit. He said he only needed three kills. He was lying... If he wanted to make himself more powerful he needed to kill more than just three people.
The numeral was not small at all, fuck it was already over the top why did anyone need to expand more, now I understood his declarations when he said he can rule this world by it. If a strong guy had this with him he could topple many things in his way.
This sword was truly dreadful. Who knows how many people Scott had killed to reach 2- 25 percent not to mention the general Acropash. They both had this with them and made it to 2 minimum and max 25 percent and the next one will surely try to take it to the next level to gain more power unless I break the chain.
I don't need more, I am comfortable with what I have.
The sword provides 2- 25 percent of the damage the user had dealt to the enemy, which means it depends on the person.
In-game words if I dealt the damage of 100 then it will provide me with anything between 2 to 25 health points on the spot. If that's the case then it's... Fuking good.
I saw Rex and Amalia moving toward me carefully and supervising me as I held the sword in my hand.
I gave them a welcoming smile making sure they would not feel threatened or presume I had the same intentions as Scott, only because I held it in my hands.
"You have that sword" Amalia verified, then gave me a nervous glance.
I could tell she was feeling uneasy about the situation.
"It's nothing, I also held that sword in a fight before giving it back to him." Rex smiled but showed no worries "I felt energized but nothing more than that, I guess this sword had some kind of magic effect not in a bad way of course"
"It heals users' wounds," I declared, forwarding the hilt to them. Amalia touched it slightly then again drew her hand back.
"I don't wanna touch it" She smiled softly. "but if that was the case why was Scott doing all that?"
We remained silent.
I cannot possibly tell them the note I had gotten in the System Information. If I did they surely will get disturbed and will keep their guards up. It was not like I was planning to kill them or something but doubt in their heart will be planted forever, as long as I have the sword.
If I want to have this sword I need to make something up, something they will catch on quickly.
"You truly did not feel anything when you held it?" asked Amalia to Rex.
Rex shrugged as he again took it from my hand. He gave swings and again confirmed. "This is an enhanced sword, ancient but enhanced and strange"
Did Rex feel nothing? That makes sense because he has no system like me. He possibly wouldn't know all that but if that's the case then how can Scott find out about the secret? Did Acropash tell him before he died? Shoot he died many years ago...
Then probably while he took that sword from Acropashs corpse he got notified, like the voice of something... Who cares!
Amalia observed the sword closely and then pushed it toward me. "Among us, you are the swordsmen"
I smiled while taking it. Finally, it's mine.
Just like I expected, the lingering worry in her heart was evident on her face. Scott's behavior and claims made her suspicious about the sword.
I noticed her hesitation while giving the sword to me, it was like she did not want me to have something sinister like this bloody sword with me.
I need to clear the air or this will keep bothering us even if we leave this creepy place.
"I think, Scott was possessed," I said softly, but my words had taken effect immediately.
They were silent but their eyes expressed their horrible thoughts. They were merging the pieces of the puzzle. They must do it for my sake and all I need to provide is a little information regarding that like...
"He was the one who returned alone from that tomb last time" Amalia mumbled. I kept my mouth shut, I guess she had taken the lead. "he slaughtered everyone before, and now wanted to deal with us"
"That makes sense, probably. The Demon Acropash possessed him" Rex added scratching his bald head.
Demon! Well maybe, anyway. Let them believe that, it's healthier for us.
"Then it's good we managed to take care of him" Amalia smiled running her hand through her hair.
Rex chuckled as he gave me my ring, "These are our rings" and then unpacked everything inside the other rings.
The treasure lay before us, gold coins, armor, and swords as well as some strange and useless stuff.
"Elven thousands of gold coins and if I include other prices of sword and armor it will be nearly fifteen thousand" Rex laughed, "it's ours, we made it"
Amalia looked over at Rena, in sadness.
"She made her choice, and we made ours" He then said seriously, "If not for this little fellow, we would have been there so just forget her and smile"
That was a good sermon. I like it. It will be better if we move on and leave this fucking shithole for god sake. I am tired of being here. I wanna go home.
I got two thousand gold and the Red Blade and gloves and shoes. They pressed me to take the least more than that but I refused. They did a lot more things than me, they protected me how can I take their share?
They need more money than I do. Their quest must not fail.
