Chapter 54
(Fighting Festival Scandal, Pt 1 of 5)
Hannah Pov:
I wake up on the morning of the fighting festival that Theo, Henry, Hunter, and Jake are partaking in. As I get up I see Emma just walking into the shower. Even though I get, that, I still cannot get over it. But then again she is a legendary beast so it is common for them. It is actually rare for it to not be there.
I get up and get into a bath towel to shower. I walk over and enter the steamy room putting the towel down on a rack as I start cleaning. I look to see Emma also cleaning herself, down there as well, I also see that Sunny had crept in. Emma was currently washing her and getting her fur clean.
I wish I had a pet, but I honestly don't know which one I should get. I finish cleaning as Emma leaves after drying herself and Sunny. I dry myself and leave as well, getting out of the Shower. I get dressed for the day with Emma and after that Ellison comes in.
"Breakfast will be in around thirty minutes. The fighting festivals entrance match will be around three hours before lunch. It will decide the sixteen participants in the next 8 matches which will be one V one. Then after lunch you will have the next 8 matches of the day. The quarter and Semi finals and the Final," Ellison tells us as she gives us some milk.
I honestly love Milk in the morning as it gets you refreshed and ready for the day. We walk out back to get Sunny some exercise for the day. Sunny had slept with Emma as Night did with Jake. Halfdan and Slimo had stayed back home as it would be weird to see them. The royal capital doesn't exactly take nice to Tamers like that.
As Sunny runs around we see the Boys and Aaron coming out. Night follows and Chases after Sunny as the other children come out. I see the kids from yesterday, but also two new faces. I look and Emma doesn't seem surprised to see them, neither Jake or Hunter. Do they know them?
Emma Pov:
I never went to bed and waited for Hannah to sleep. I had smelled something that wasn't a normal beast-kin Fox, or anything else for that matter. This mansion only had everyone that came and Beast-kin foxes in it. So what was the smell?
I left the room and followed it, bumping into Jake and Hunter. They too had smelled it I guess, we follow it to a wall. It is a hidden door! I think as Jake opens it up, he is an expert in them. We walk in and up the steps arriving at Attic Level, and walk forward.
We enter into a beautifully Decorated room overlooking the back of the mansion, onto the fighting festival. As we do we also smell another smell, but can't place it, I wonder what it is. Then we hear, "HISS!" We look to see someone in a maid outfit, a Beast-kin cat, looking at us.
The beast-kin cat has Brown hair and a long fluffy tail. She is also around about my height as well. "Who are you? And why are you hiding?," I ask as we get into defensive stances.
"Amanda, they are ok, they are also legendary beasts, like me!," A girl says as she emerges from behind a dressing wall dressed. She was where the smell was coming from, at that me and the others get out of the stances, as did the one called Amanda.
"Your, a Great Beast-kin Fox?," I say, curious. At that she nods so I ask, "Why are you hiding here? And what is your name?"
"My name is Layla Smith, this is my Maid Amanda Bolten. Great Beast-kin foxes are seen as a bad omen by most. My adoptive father was a friend of my father and closely resembled one, but was not. So when we were being hunted he saved us, we were going to officially be known tomorrow as we would be going with you to Tanapupigal. That is why we are here," She says.
She has Pitch white hair, Fox ears on her head, a one and a half fluff tail to her ankles, and White eyes. She was only wearing a black Kimono with Green accent and pink flowers on it. It is also soaked and dripping wet, as is Amanda, seems they just got out of the shower. But then why would they smell like that? "I see, well then I guess we will see you tomorrow then," Jake says and we leave, closing the hidden door behind us.
But if she is also a legendary beast, she must also have a what I have. Hannah had seen it when we were first coming down from the glacier. It wasn't my finest moment, but she really didn't seem to care. I went to bed and the next day I got up and undressed to take a shower.
At that I went into the shower as Hannah woke up. Inside the shower Sunny came in and I noticed her dirtied pelt. I guess she also needs to be washed, I think as I start cleaning her pelt. As I do so I see Hannah come in and starts staring at us. I guess it really can't be helped.
I leave with Sunny after drying us off and get my clothes for the day as Hannah comes out. I put on my clothes making sure it will be unnoticeable as usual. Afterwards Ellison, or Elli, comes in and fills us in for the day.
From there we head outback and let Sunny run around. Then everyone else comes out and Night starts running with Sunny. Then Layla and Amanda come out, Layla in more clothes than just the Kimono this time. "Nice to see you again Layla," I tell her surprising the others, except Jake and Hunter, that I knew her.
"Yes, it has been a minute, Emma," She responds as the day starts off.
