Chapter 19 - Burning Sword Style

It had been a few days since Jin and Tanya had received the surname of their family. Jin studied the Book of the Sun in order to know more about the golden flames that were absorbed by his sister's forehead.

However, he wasn't able to discover anything about it since there was not an instance similar to it recorded in the book.

Fortunately, the golden flames didn't seem to have adverse effects on Tanya so both Leo and Jin weren't in a rush to discover what the golden flames really were.

While he was reading the Book of the Sun, Leo had been teaching Tanya the Burning Sword Style some distance away from Jin.

Of course, Jin also partook in their training everyday. It was just that he gets tired easily and thus chose to read the Book of the Sun while recovering.

As he got close to his father and sister, he asked, "What happened, dad?"

"Look at your sister, do you see anything?" Leo smiled as he pointed at Tanya.

Jin turned to look at his little sister and was shocked at what he saw.

He could see steam coming out of her body with every swing of her sword. Jin focused his eyes more and saw red energy circulating inside her body.

It was one of the abilities he gained as he grew up. Not only was he able to see energy emitted by people, he could also see the energy inside their body.

Jin glanced at their father and saw the same colored red energy circulating slowly in his body. The only difference was that their father's energy was countless times more intense than his sister.

"Good! Very good! Keep it up, Tanya! You'll be able to break past the Dark Gray stage and reach the Light Gray stage in no time!" Leo became excited as he watched Tanya who kept swinging her sword without stopping.

Crackle–!

As Tanya continued to swing her sword, a small spark of flames could be seen slightly manifesting with her every slash.

Plop!

However, before the flames could fully materialize, Tanya's body suddenly slumped on the ground.

Haaa! Haaaa!!

She breathed heavily for a while before looking up at her father and brother, "How was it, did I do good, dad?"

"Yes! Your brother and I are really proud of you!" Leo gave her a thumbs up.

Jin smiled happily and helped his sister stand up, "Dad is right, sister! You are really amazing!"

"Hehe~" Her exhaustion couldn't keep Tanya from smiling, feeling happy because of her father and brother's praises.

As they walked towards the bench to take a rest, Leo spoke, "I didn't expect both of my children to be very talented! Tanya, I didn't expect you to release steam from the Burning Sword Style within a few days of teaching! Your energy capacity is larger than other Gray Core stages and your energy circulation is also very efficient!"

Then, he turned to Jin and laughed loudly, "Son, you're even more outrageous! You were instantly able to pick up the essence of swordsmanship of the Burning Sword Style!"

Tanya smiled proudly and said, "Hehe, I wanna be like father!"

The goal of the Burning Sword Style was to cover the user's weapon in flames coupled with an agressive style of swordsmanship. Her being able to produce steam means that Tanya was closer to being able to produce flames that would cover her sword.

On the other hand, Jin just smiled shyly in response. He didn't have the heart to tell his father that he was able to do this since the first time he saw him performing his swordsmanship roughly 5 years ago.

The Burning Sword Style was divided into two techniques. The pure sword technique that only uses the user's understanding of the sword with only their physical capabilities. And the other was the aura circulation technique which produces the flames and makes the technique stronger.

If we were to compare the two, Tanya was extremely exceptional in both pure technique and aura circulation technique.

Meanwhile, Jin could be said to be godly in pure technique alone. The only thing stopping him from being godly in energy circulation techniques was his lack of energy core and circuits.

"With this, I'll be confident that both of you would be the most talented participants in the Training Center tomorrow!" Leo smiled, looking proud of his children.

'Oh yeah… there was that.' Jin thought as he had been too focused on the Boom of the Sun these past few days, he completely forgot about it.

It was their first day tomorrow and he didn't really feel that nervous.

Tanya, on the other hand, looked excited to attend the Training Center. "Brother! Brother! I heard that Rowena was also going to attend!"

"Huh? Uncle Rowan's daughter?" Jin asked in surprise. Uncle Rowan was a close friend of their father.

However, he was netiher a warrior or a mage, but a blacksmith. He was also the one who gifted Tanya with a small sword when they were little.

He was surprised because Uncle Rowan and his wife weren't talented in worldly energies. It was rare for someone to have talent for worldly energies when their parents didn't have any talent for it.

Leo also raised his brow and said as he laughed, "Really? Then Rowan's going to brag to me for sure when we met! I'll have to ask him to treat me for a drink! Haha!"

Then he turned serious and said, "Son. Daughter."

Jin and Tanya looked at their father silently. Whenever he used this tone of voice, they knew that he would say something serious to them.

"The Burning Sword Style I thought you… you mustn't use them at the Training Center, okay?"

"Why, dad?" The siblings asked curiously.

Leo caressed his chin with his finger as he thought, "Well, it's because its too powerful. Besides, you're goal is to learn more about the fundamentals there. You mustn't flaunt your strength or use it to bully others, okay?"

The siblings glanced at eah other before nodding obediently.

Seeing this, Leo smiled and said, "Good. Come let's eat!"

As they walked towards their house, Jin had a strange expression on his face as he followed behind his father and sister.
