As the music swirled around the grand ballroom, the doors opened and she entered, with a tray of crystal glasses filled with blood. Her eyes widened with delight as she beheld the glittering spectacle before her. The high ceilings, ornate chandeliers, and gilded walls transported her to a time long gone by.
She couldn't help but smile as she made her way through the crowd of vampires, serving them one by one. They all seemed attracted to her simple beauty and gentle demeanor, she felt the hunger emanating from the vampires and their lustful gazes lingered on her for a little too long.
Though most of the male vampires tried to touch her inappropriately, she managed to deftly avoid their advances and continue serving the rest of the guests. As she moved away from the table, she felt a pang of frustration at the way she was being treated simply because of her gender and status.
Despite being dressed in plain servant's clothes, she radiated a quiet elegance that drew the attention of everyone in the room. Her long dark hair was styled in a simple braid, and her brown eyes sparkled with a sense of wonder at the opulence surrounding her.
Rhefa didn't keep her guard down, the princesses were far away from where she was serving, yet she was keeping an eye on them.
Eric had noticed her, the moment she entered the ball room, his gaze tracing her movement as she serves the guests.
Eric tried to maintain a courteous demeanor as various ladies approached him, attempting to engage him in conversation. But as the night wore on, he could feel his patience wearing thin. Despite his attempts to politely disengage, the women persisted, pressing themselves upon him with increasing fervor.
As the crowd continued to swirl around him, the Crown Prince's frustration grew. He had no interest in engaging in small talk with these women, who seemed to see him only as a prize to be won. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, he excused himself and slipped away from them.
The full tray she was holding earlier was now empty, she smiled and make way to the door, Eric walked behind her without drawing any attention.
He followed her down the silent hallway, his steps were light as he watched her jump up in excitement of experiencing the ball.
One of the guests had imbibed far too much strong wine and was feeling particularly amorous. On his way back from the restroom, he spotted Rhefa jumping towards him,and in his drunken state, he knew she was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen.
The guest, who happened to be a vampire, had an insatiable thirst for fresh blood and saw her as a perfect target.
Rhefa noticed the drunk guest, she bowed and asked "Did you need help, Milord?" not suspecting and had no idea what was about to happen. Eric stopped on his track, watching those two.
As the vampire approached her, she felt a sense of fear and move backward.
"What are you trying to do Milord?" she asked in a scared tone.
She stood frozen in terror, the vampire slowly approached her with a menacing grin on his face. His eyes glowed red as he reached out for her neck and grabbed it with a vice-like grip. She felt his cold, clammy hands around her throat, making it difficult for her to breathe.
The vampire leaned in closer to her, his fangs glistening in the pale moonlight. As he prepared to sink his teeth into her delicate skin, she gasped for air and managed to choke out a feeble plea for him to stop.
But the vampire was relentless, driven by his insatiable thirst for blood. He tightened his grip on her neck even further, causing her vision to blur and her head to swim.
Eric legs were faster, he approaches the scene, Rhefa who is at verge of fainting due to the vampire choke, forced out a word from her mouth "Save Me" she muttered. The vampire was to busy to notice someone was behind him, he wanted to end her life and suck her dry.
Eric smirked "I thought you really want to die but here you are pleading for mercy, I will save you but you owe me one" he proposed and wait her her to reply, even though she was dying.Rhefa nodded slightly in approval to what he said.
He knocked out the vampire from behind, the vampire fell on the ground unconsciously, releasing his hold on the lady.
She coughed out for air and her neck was red due to being forcefully choked, some bruising around her neck. Eric watched her without moving an inch.
Sounds of footsteps could be heard by the crown prince, thanks to the vampire ability to hear things from afar. His action changed suddenly, he held her hand and opened the door to one of the guest rooms in the hallway, he pushed her into the chamber, he also entered and closed the door behind. It was unclear to her why he did that, "Could he have so nefarious intentions" she thought as she rub her hand on her neck to reduce the pain she was feeling.
"There is no cause for alarm, I don't drink blood from someone like you, I have taste unlike that idiot" he said sarcastically.
She scoffed"Is not like I will give you my blood, is only for me, why am I here?"
"Do yourself a favor and sit down quietly, and if you won't do that you can go outside and tell them what you did to the poor drunk man" he said and sat on the chair.
Rhefa blinked her eyes in disbelief "What I did to the poor man or what that idiot man did to me, I could have been dead by now" she complained.
"I made a big mistake saving you, I am sure the world will be in a better place if you are gone, you sound like annoying bee, stop singing to my ears, shut up and sit down" he said coldly.
She placed her hand on her waist ready to give the man who saved her the perfect reply he deserved but was interrupted by a loud voice.
"Lord Mathew! Who did this to him, I don't think he is breathing" a servant shouted.
His loud voice scared Rhefa, she jumped on the bed like a scared cat, she place her hand on her lips trying not to make a sound.
Eric smirked at her reaction "What a bee!"
But wait is the man truly dead??
