Aunt Maggie knocked on the door of Rhefa room, she paused for a moment to collect herself. She was about to deliver news that would change the course of her life forever. With a deep breath, she pushed open the door.
Inside, Rhefa brushing her long, dark hair preparing for the day ahead.
Darling," she said, walking over to her. "I have some news for you."
Rhefa looked up, the brush still in her hand. "What is it, Aunt Maggie?"
"You've been assigned as the personal maid for the crown prince," Maggie said, hint of excitement in her voice.
Rhefa Mary's eyes widened in shock, the brush in her hand fell. "The crown prince? But I'm just a lowly maid."
Maggie smiled gently. "Not anymore, my dear. This is your chance to rise above your station. It an honor."
Rhefa nodded slowly, still taking in the news. "I...I don't know what to say."
"Just accept," Maggie urged. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
She looked up at her aunt with a determined expression. "I'll do it. I'll be the best damn maid that the crown prince has ever had."
Maggie smiled proudly. "That's my girl, get prepare and go prepare the crown prince bath" she pat her.
"Work starts now?" she asked in shocked.
Maggie smiled "Yes Rhefa, it starts now. Be quick and come out" she left her room.
Rhefa walked slowly around her small but tidy room, her mind consumed with thoughts of the crown prince. She knew that serving him was an honor, but to make sure that everything was going to be perfect was the issue, she hadn't personally serve any of the royals as their personal maid, this was a new thing to her.She muttered her courage, and left the her tiny room.
Rhefa walked slowly down the dimly lit hallway, her mind deep in thought. She was pondering over the various tasks that lay ahead of her, all of which involved serving the crown prince in some way or the other.
With a deep breath, Rhefa made her way towards the prince's chamber, where she knew that he would be awaiting her. As she get to the entrance of his chamber, she could feel her heart begin to race, knowing that the prince's expectations must be high.
"Your Royal highness, may I come in?" she asked carefully.
Eric lay on his bed, his arm crossed, he had been waiting for his personal maid "Come in" he ordered in a cold voice
She entered the chamber, with her gaze on the floor, not daring to look at her future king in the eyes "I will serve you with all my strengths" she bowed, and walked into the royal bathroom with had gaze on the marble floor.
Eric was startled by her behavior "Cat caught her tongue?" he shrugged.
She entered the bathroom and breath in relief "You did well" she praised herself.
Without wasting any time in adoring how fancy the bathroom was, Rhefa set about preparing the prince's bath, carefully measuring out the perfect blend of oils and fragrances to create a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. As she worked, she felt a sense of pride in her duties, knowing that every little detail mattered when it came to serving the prince.
After preparing the bath, she lower her gaze and went to the chamber "Your Royal Highness, your bath is ready" she announced.
Eric stood up from his bed, he removed his robe and exposing his broad chest, they only thing left on him was his shorts.
She wanted to take a glimpse at his chest but she kept her gaze low not letting her intrusive thought win over her. "I could if I wanted but I won't" she thought to herself.
He entered the bathtub and soaked himself inside it, while she wait outside the bathroom door.
"That annoying Bee could be pretending, she is so cunning, enough of bullshit" he thought to himself.
The bath took forever, her legs started to aches "My legs are going to break at this moment" she thought. After what felt like forever the bathroom door open, she was quick to compose herself and bowed "How was your bath your royal highness?" she asked as she handover the robe to him. He collected the robe and wrapped it around his upper body, his shorts covering his lower body and stared at her.
"Am I doing anything wrong your highness"She asked.
"Yes, you are doing everything wrong, ANNOYING BEE! Raise your head up!" he exclaimed.
she lifted her head to look at the prince, her eyes widened in shock and horror. She recognized him immediately as the stranger who had crossed her path the day before. The memory of their encounter flooded her mind, and she felt a hot from the inside and started sweating. If only the floor will open and swallow her forever, she wished.
Without giving it a second thought, she fell on the floor and pretended to faint. She hoped that by doing so, she could escape the situation and avoid the inevitable penalty she expected to receive. As she lay there on the floor, pretending to be unconscious, she could feel the heat rising in her cheeks as she imagined how foolish she must have look.
He knew she was an annoying bee but he didn't know she had a brain of an ant. He ignore her and walked passed her to his dressing room.
"When you are done pretending, come over here and pick my dress for the day" he said in a commanding tone.
She sluggishly pushes herself up from the ground, her hands trembling slightly. She looks around the room, her eyes darting nervously. As she rises to her feet, she realizes with a sinking feeling that her carefully constructed logic has failed her.
She takes a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. She knows that she must face the crown prince, and whatever consequences he may have in store for her. Slowly, she begins to move towards the dressing room, her steps heavy and deliberate.
As she approaches the room, she can feel his eyes on her, scrutinizing her every move. She tries to hold her head high, to project an air of confidence, but it is difficult. Her whole body feels heavy and leaden, weighed down by the knowledge that she has failed.
With a deep sigh, she finally reaches the room and stands before him, waiting for his judgment. Her mind is blank, her thoughts jumbled and confused. All she can do is wait, hoping that somehow, she will find a way to out of the trouble she had brought upon herself.
