She heard a commotion outside of the room where the drunken vampire was lying unconscious on the ground.
The servant that has noticed the man earlier arrived with the man's personal servant , accompanied by two other men. When they confirmed he was drunk and not dead, they carefully lifted the man and carried him outside of the palace to his carrige.
After she confirmed that the man has been carried away,Rhefa sighed in relief "What a day" she stands up from the bed.
His muscular frame relaxed but still commanding attention. His head rested gently on the back of the chair with his eyes close as if he were lost in thought or deep in slumber. She move closer to him observing him, She dared not wake him, she wanted to leave the room without getting noticed but she had to check if he was fast asleep before she leaves and hope to never see his face again.
But before she could take another step toward him, he suddenly grabbed her hand, his eyes opening wide to meet hers, their faces mere inches apart. It was then that the she realized he had not been asleep after all, he had merely been lost in thought, his mind wandering through memories and recollections.
The suddenness of the moment caught her by surprise, but she didn't pull away. Instead, she found herself entranced by the intensity of his gaze, the warmth of his hand clasping hers. She felt drawn to him in a way she couldn't quite explain, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still as they looked deep into each other's eyes.
He let go of her hand aware of the impropriety of their situation. A deep blush crept up her cheeks as she registered the significance of what had just happened. She had let herself forget the rules of propriety for a moment, and now she felt exposed and vulnerable.
Desperate to regain her composure, she raised her hand and slapped herself on the cheek, hoping to dispel any remaining trace of embarrassment.
Eric fold his arms "I get, I am an handsome man, but isn't it to quick to take advantage of me" he said in a mocking tone.
"Don't get the wrong idea, you are not even a match to our crown prince Eric, why should I go for you" she fumbled in other to defend herself.
Eric played along with her "Your prince must be into you, are you his personal maid?" he asked.
Not wanting to lose her face she replied "As an acquaintance of the prince, I will be assigned as his personal maid since he just arrived"
"Nice one, looking forward to it annoying Bee " he said and left the room, leaving her confused. She left the room after she was sure he was far from there so as not to raise any unwanted attention and to tag has a slut, she still had no idea who he was and neither did he bother to as for her name.
The grand royal ball is finally come to an end, the music had died down.
The royals had retired to their chambers, leaving the servants to ensure that all those who remained were taken care of.

The cold night air crept in around the group of men gathered deep in the forest, far from the town. Each one wore a mask, hiding their true identity . "We are the seekers, we must find her and killed her" a man raised his voice in determination.
"SHE MUST BE KILL" the others said in chorus. That was the end of their mysterious meeting, one after the other they disappeared into thin air.
She lay on her small bed, surrounded by the flickering light of the candle and lost in thought. She wore a simple linen shift, with a plain white apron tied at the waist. Her hair was pulled back in a tidy bun. As she lay there, she reminisced on the events of the day, the comings and goings of the busy people, the orders given by head maid, her encounter with the mysterious man, there was only one word that suit the day "An Hectic Day" she murmured. She watched the candle light until her eyes shut down, unaware of was in stock for her the next morning.
The door to the study room opened, Butler Rob entered with a tray of fresh blood "Your special blood, your highness" he bowed and place the tray in the table, he was about to leave before Eric called him back "Who is going to be the personal maid assigned to me?" he asked out of the blue.
Butler Rob bowed "One of the most qualified maid, if you have any one in mind, let me know your highness" he answered.
Eric grinned "Of course I do have person in mind, I will tell you in the morning, you can go" he dismissed him. The butler bowed and left the study room.
