Chapter 12 - PART 2

Neighbors started coming to our place to welcome us. They brought food enough to have breakfast for dinner.

"Man these people do eat," I commented

We all laughed while sitting at the table to have dinner. We had food that will spoil easily and quickly on the table and kept foods that can be kept in the fridge.

"It was nice to have such a warm welcome and I'm looking forward to getting along with these people and I pray that somebody doesn't ruin it." Mom said as she was looking at me.

I groaned. " please let me be. I'm hungry and I want to eat." I said as I filled my plate.

Mom Shrugged. She then proceeded to fill dad and grey plates. We ate dinner then we went to bed. I was looking forward to the following day so that I should explore the town. When we just arrived yesterday I had a feeling that I couldn't shake off. I felt like something dangerous was watching me. I thought perhaps it was the long ride that we had that's why I have to let myself out and sing and dance. I hope it was a good start. Just hope the neighbor doesn't think that I'm weird or something. After dinner, we each went back to our rooms the rest for the next day.

The following day I took a tour of the town so that I should familiarize myself with it. I found out the town was surrounded by Woods and the Town Square was near our house so starting from the Town Square going out of town it is like this, their shops that surround Town Square then we have houses surrounding the shops then we have the Farms just outside the houses then we have the woods surrounding the Farms. On one side of the town, there were no farms but there was a clearing. I asked some people about the clearing and they said they use it for Gatherings and all sorts of activities. Honestly, it's a cool town.

Well, I was walking on the outskirts of the house I was looking towards the woods. Suddenly something rattling in the woods caught my eye. Judging from how big the woods were I'm pretty sure that wild animals would also be there. It would be fun hunting. I went closer passing by the farms and getting to the outskirts of the Farms to have a closer look at what was rattling in the woods. I realized that something was lying on the ground and there were sounds of whimpers. I looked closer and then I realized that they were coming from an animal precisely to say that it was a wolf. I was shocked to see that there was a wolf just lying down on the ground just in front of me. I didn't know that this part of the city or should I say this town has wolves. I didn't know what to do so I just looked at it and then I was debating on what I should do with it I looked back to the houses to see if anyone saw me. I decided maybe I should help the wolf, treat it or something but

when I looked back at the wolf it was not there.

"Where did the wolf go?" I questioned

I didn't even hear any sounds of its movements!

Looked for it around the woods but I did not see it anywhere. What would help her to do? I hope it is okay. Such a sad thing and a beautiful animal hurts like that, vicious but beautiful. I turned back to go to the house since I didn't want to be ambushed by any other vicious animal. I quickly walked home and then entered the house.

" where have you been?" that was the first thing that I heard as I entered the house. It was a mom in the kitchen.

" I went to have a tour of the town Mom. I wanted to see it." I told her

"Okay next time please let us know when you are leaving the house," she told me

"Yes, I'll make sure I'll let you know," I replied

"Lunch is almost ready so get ready," she told me

"It's already lunchtime?" I asked surprised

"Yes you did not take notice of time?" she asked

" I did not. Well, time sure flies." I replied

I then went upstairs to wash up since I had twigs and leaves on my jeans due to the walk that I had in the woods. I fixed myself then went downstairs. Everybody was at the table ready to eat and they were waiting for me. I quickly sat down.

"Okay. Let's say grace." Mom blessed the food.

We had mashed potatoes and a roasted turkey with some salad and soup. For dessert, we had some fruit sorbets. Most of the soup was eaten by Gray. Gray loved soups and stews. They also usually meant a good meal during the winter. After

we were done eating I took the plates and then put them in the kitchen sink to have them washed. I poured warm water in one sink then cold water in the other sink then pour the dishwasher in the warm Waters then put the plates in it then watch the plates thoroughly. It's easier that way. Soon I was done washing the plates and then went back to my room.

The following day Mom and Dad enrolled me in the school. They told me that I should start school as soon as possible so that I shouldn't be left behind. They told me that I can start the following day and they wanted to find a preschool school so that Grey should be able to go to school and just not stay at home since they'll be nobody at home most of the time.

"When you go to school please behave and work hard. I don't want any trouble. Your dad and I thought that maybe if we changed cities we would see things differently. Maybe you will like it here more than where we're coming from." Mom

explained

"Maybe you'll find new friends and it'll be okay, right?" Dad asked with positive energy.

" yes, I hope things go well too. Although the idea of going to school isn't exciting at all." I said. " did you already find jobs here?"

"Of course! it's not like we were transferred from our jobs or anything, we still have our jobs and we'll work from home and at times go where we need to go." Dad replied

"Oh." I started with a straight face. " I hope I find friends quickly."

Mom and Dad went to work and I went back upstairs to get changed. I changed into a jeans crop top and some high waist jeans shorts with a pair of Toms. I took my hustle bag put my phone my wallet my headsets and then went back downstairs.

" let's go for a walk," I told Grey

"Okay," he replied and went upstairs to grab whatever he wanted to grab.

He quickly came back downstairs then we went out then lock the door.
