We walked and walked then we reach the Town Square. Reaching there, we went to a shop to buy some treats. We bought some ice Lolly for me and Grey which we ate as we continue to walk. So as we walked I was talking to Grey and I suddenly bumped into someone since I wasn't looking forward.
" I wasn't looking, sorry." I apologized
"It's okay." a chanting voice replied to me.
I looked to see who it was and that in front of me stood a handsome boy. tanned skin, ashy curly hair, brown eyes, and a well-built body. He had this dashing smile on him that you could get mesmerized in it. I kept looking at him forgetting
to speak then he cleared his throat and asked me,
"Are you alright Miss?"
" oh, I am alright thanks." applied
" I've never seen you in this town before. Are you new?" he asked
"Yes I am new. My family and I just moved in." I replied
"Is that your brother?" he asked,
" yes he is," I replied
"What is the name big man?" he asked him
"My name is Grey." he replied
"What a unique name you have buddy." he told him
"Thank you."
" what about you miss what is your name?" he asked
"Well, I am Tiffany," I said as I give him my hand for greeting.
" Andrew, but you can call me Drew." he gave me his hand.
There was an awkward silence since I didn't know what to say. We just All looked at each other.
"Well, where are you going?" Drew asked breaking the silence.
" we're having a walk. I wanted my brother to see the town." I replied
"Okay. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would have been your tour guide but I have to go somewhere else. Perhaps in the afternoon?" he asked
" I'm down for that." I replied. " what do you think Grey, do you like that idea?"
" yes we would go for a walk in the afternoon too, do you have some ice cream too," he replied
" yes, more walk more ice cream." I said
"Okay then see you later. Meet at the coffee shop at 3:00."
"Sure see you then."
Then we parted ways and he went in the opposite direction we were going.
" I like him." Grey stated
" yeah, he seems nice."
We continue to walk then we went to a park. Stayed there for an hour then back home. At lunchtime, I prepared mac and cheese. I didn't want to prepare such a big meal so just do a simple meal. After having lunch with Grey he went to sleep. I went to my room to watch a movie and soon enough I slept too. I managed to set my alarm for 15 minutes before 3 so that I should prepare for the walk.
Sometimes the alarm rang and I woke up. I quickly washed my face and made my makeup after that I went to Gray's room to prepare him for the walk too. So we walked out of that door and then went to the coffee shop. Entering the shop, I looked
around for Drew. There he sat at the corner of the table then he looked up and saw me. He waved his hand at me with a wide smile. We went to where he sat.
" hey."
"Hello. You have arrived. I was starting to think that you wouldn't come." he said
" why?" I asked while laughing
" I don't know, maybe because you don't know me? I mean I wouldn't be surprised if you did so," he said
" still thinking and talking nonsense," I said while laughing.
The waitress came to our table. " hello, can I get you something?" he said
"Yes, I will have a latte and a cheesecake." he ordered
" noted. And you miss."
" I'll have a latte and chocolate cake. He'll have a green tea and strawberry cake." I ordered
" okay we'll be right back." he left to get our orders.
I turned back to look at Drew who was smiling.
" hey, you always smiling right?" I said as I chuckled
" and can you do when it's all that I do," he said
I gave my phone to Grey so that he should play games and not get bored.
" where were you living before coming here?" Drew asked
"I was living in Central City." I played
" I see. So much of a change right? You know from the city to a small town like this." he commented
" yes true so much change. I'll see if I like it here too. Well so far so good." I replied
" why did you move here?" he asked
" well my mom and dad wanted a fresh start and I had to transfer from my school, my old school to a new school," I explained
" and you start from what and why did you transfer?" He asked,
" geez you sure do ask a lot of questions." I said that they laughed.
" I can stop asking if you want." he replied with a cheeky smile.
" no no no, it's okay." I said
" Okay so why?" he asked once again
" my parents decided that we had to move because I had to transfer from my old school. Apparently, I caused a lot of trouble which by the way I did not cause. Trouble just finds its way to me. So my parents thought it was a good idea that we move and have a fresh start so that maybe I won't cause any trouble." I explained
" I see."
Soon enough the waitress came with all orders. We ate and chatted soon after we went out for the walk. We walked all around the town but we didn't reach everywhere but we did reach the most important places.
" living in this small town you get to know everybody. Many of us grew up together. And you will indeed be a new face. When are you starting school?" he asked
" as soon as I enroll. Maybe tomorrow, the other day?" I replied
"Okay can't wait to see you. I'll make sure you join our crew." he told me
"Take me please, I don't to be an outsider," I said
" Sure."
We exchange numbers and soon enough we reached my house. A bid for a while then we went into the house. Mom and Dad, we're already home. Grey left my hands and then run to the sitting room where Dad was sitting. I went to the kitchen
where Mom was.
" hey Mom."
" hey honey. Where did you guys go?" she asked
"We went for a walk. I made a new friend." I reply
"Nice. I enrolled you in the school. Such a small town to have one school and everybody goes there. You'll start tomorrow." she explained
"Okay. What are you making?" I asked looking.
" I'm just making some cookies. A snack. I am hungry." she replied
"I see. I'm going to head upstairs to change I'll come back." I told her as I left the kitchen.
I went to my room to have a quick shower seems the sun was just setting. I changed into a knitted sweater and some leggings, making my hair into a high messy bun. I quickly went downstairs to have some cookies and tea. Reaching
there I found mom just taking the cookies out of the oven, preparing everything putting it on the coffee table with tea and everything. We sat there and ate the snacks while watching TV. Later evening came in and Mom prepared dinner.
"Have you prepared for school?" Mom asked,
"Yes Mom I prepared," I replied
"Work hard okay," Dad said
" I will, I will do my best as I always do," I replied smiling.
" make friends okay, good company. Don't get involved in trouble. This is a chance to prove yourself right." mom suit
Well now that she mentions it, I don't think I'd ever ' prove myself right' Technically trouble always finds me and I can't run away. I guess I'll always disappoint my parents. I just smiled back at her. After dinner, we each went to our bedrooms to end the day with a good night's rest. I had already packed my things for school tomorrow and I was ready to go.
