Chapter 22 - Punishment of Bad Guys

As I left the ruins, I felt a sense of urgency. I knew I had to help Artemis defeat Helios before he became too powerful. I could sense a shift in the balance of power, and I knew time was running out. So, without delay, I charged towards them, my mind focused on the task at hand. I knew it was going to be a difficult battle, but I was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

My body was filled with adrenaline as I made my way through the forest with incredible speed, my movements almost a blur. The branches of the trees whipped past me as I weaved my way through the thick foliage, my keen senses allowing me to anticipate the obstacles in my path.

The black sword in my hand glimmered in the sunlight, its edges razor-sharp and ready to strike down any foes that dared to stand in my way. My heart raced in my chest as I thought of the battle that awaited me at the fortress of Helios, and I gritted my teeth in determination.

Suddenly, I felt a presence behind me, and my instincts kicked in. I twisted my body in mid-air, my feet landing on a tree branch that jutted out from the trunk. I pushed off from the branch and launched myself forward, my body moving with lightning-fast reflexes.

As I landed on the forest floor, I turned to face my pursuer. My eyes narrowed as I took in the sight of the hooded figure standing before me, his features hidden in the shadows.

"You cannot stop me," I growled, my voice low and menacing. "I have a mission to complete, and I will not let you stand in my way."

The figure said nothing, but I could feel his eyes on me, watching my every move. I readied myself for battle, my body coiled like a spring, poised to strike at a moment's notice.

The tension between us was palpable, and I could feel the anticipation building in the air. I knew that this was going to be a fight to the death, and I was ready to do whatever it took to emerge victorious.

„I am the sword of Lord Helios," he yelled.

The red-haired Demigod stood tall and imposing, towering over me with his broad shoulders and chiseled physique. His golden eyes glinted with a fierce intensity as he gripped his sword tightly, the sunlight glinting off its polished surface. I could see the muscles in his arms and legs bulging with power, a testament to his incredible strength.

His skin was bronzed and gleaming, as if he had been carved from the very sun itself. I knew that his powers were linked to sunlight, and I could see the way he seemed to draw strength from the sun's rays, his body glowing with a fierce energy.

Despite his powerful presence, there was a hint of arrogance in his demeanor, a cocky grin playing across his lips as he sized me up. I knew that this would not be an easy fight, that I would need to use all my skills and knowledge to stand a chance against him.

As we circled each other, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. This Demigod was not to be underestimated, and I knew that even the smallest mistake could be fatal. I gripped my own sword tightly, my knuckles turning white with the force of my grip, and prepared myself for the fight to come.

His eyes glinted with a dangerous light as he raised his own sword, the sunlight gleaming off its polished surface.

I knew I had to be careful. The demigod's power increased with exposure to sunlight, and I could already feel the heat on my skin. But I also had an advantage: the curse of Achilles that made me nearly invulnerable to injury.

We lunged at each other simultaneously, our swords clashing with a metallic clang. The demigod was fast, his swordsmanship expertly honed, but I was no slouch either. I parried his blows with ease, my movements swift and precise.

As we fought, I could feel the wounds on my body slowly closing up, the curse of Achilles working its magic. But I couldn't rely on it completely. I had to end this fight quickly, before the demigod's power became too great to overcome.

We traded blows back and forth, each strike ringing out with a sharp, metallic sound. Sweat dripped down my face as I strained to keep up with the demigod's lightning-fast movements. He was strong, but I was stronger.

Finally, I saw my opening. The demigod had overextended himself, leaving his side wide open. I seized the opportunity and plunged my sword deep into his flesh, the blade sinking in with a sickening squelch.

The demigod screamed in pain, his eyes wide with shock as he realized what had happened. But I didn't give him a chance to recover. With a swift twist of my wrist, I ripped the sword out of his body, causing him to stagger backwards.

Blood gushed from the wound, staining his clothing crimson as he clutched at it in agony. He glared at me with hatred in his eyes, but I could see the fear lurking behind them. He knew he had underestimated me.

With a final, desperate lunge, he tried to strike me down, but I was ready for him. I parried his blow with ease and plunged my sword into his chest, the blade piercing his heart.

The demigod fell to the ground with a thud, his body twitching as he took his last breath. I stood over him, panting with exertion and triumph.

The red-haired Demigod lay on the ground, gasping for breath as he clutched at his chest where my sword had pierced him. Blood seeped out of the wound, staining his armor and the ground beneath him.

As he struggled for breath, I watched him closely, ready for any sudden moves. Despite his injuries, his eyes blazed with a fierce determination, and I knew that he would not go down without a fight.

With a ragged breath, he managed to speak. "You may have defeated me today, but my lord, Helios, will not let this stand. He will avenge me and crush you beneath his heel."

I remained silent, knowing that any response would only anger him further.

The Demigod coughed, blood spilling from his lips. "Remember my words, warrior. You may have won this battle, but the war is far from over."

With that, he fell silent, his eyes closing as his life slipped away. I stood there for a moment, staring down at his still form, before turning away and making my way back to the fortress.

Even as I walked, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the air. The Demigod's words had struck a chord within me, and I knew that this was only the beginning of a much larger conflict.
