Chapter 5 - Break the Curse

Isabella stood frozen, her mind racing with questions and confusion as she watched Azazel writhe in pain on the floor. She couldn't comprehend what was happening before her very eyes. She couldn't understand the connection between Azazel and the pendant her late mother had entrusted to her.

As she watched him struggle on the floor, she suddenly remembered the events of the previous night when the pendant had shone brightly when she wore it. Could it be possible that I woke this man with my pendant?. Isabella shivered as she tried to piece together the mystery that lay before her.

Just then the light from the pendant became dim. Isabella looked at Azazel and noticed that he was no longer in pain. She quickly rushed out of her room, trying to flee from her house. When Azazel suddenly appears in front of her.

Isabella's heart pounded in her chest as she tried to back away slowly from the figure before her. Azazel's eyes glowed with an eerie green light, and his skin seemed to shift and writhe like flames. She stumbled backward, her foot catching on a rug, and fell onto the floor.

Azazel loomed over her, his expression twisted in anger. "Do not attempt to flee from me," he growled, his voice like thunder. "You will not be able to escape my grasp."

Isabella's mind raced as she struggled to come to terms with the reality of the situation. This creature before her, this Azazel, was not human. He was something else entirely, something dark and dangerous. And yet, he seemed to be connected somehow to the pendant that she wore.

"I-I don't understand," Isabella stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. "What do you want from me?"

Azazel's eyes narrowed, and he leaned in closer. Isabella could feel the heat emanating from his body, and she shuddered in fear. "Where did you get this pendant from?" he asked.

Isabella's eyes widened in confusion as she looked down at the pendant. "This?" she gasped. "It's just a family heirloom. I had no idea it had anything to do with a curs...."

Isabella's father knocked on her door, interrupting her conversation with Azazel. She quickly got up from the floor, but Azazel stepped in front of her and barked, "Don't you dare move an inch."

Isabella froze in fear, not knowing what to do. She watched as Azazel's eyes blazed with fury, and his body grew in size and strength. Isabella realized that he was not human and felt a sense of terror creep over her.

Her father's voice called out again from behind the door, "Isabella, are you okay? Is someone in there with you?"

Isabella panicked as she looked at Azazel, who had transformed into his true form, a fearsome demon. She tried to move, but he held her firmly in place with his powerful gaze.

"Stay here," he commanded. "I will deal with him."

Isabella watched in horror as Azazel stepped towards the door, his form growing larger with each step. She could hear her father's voice growing more concerned as he knocked harder.

Azazel flung open the door with a mighty roar, and Isabella's father stumbled backward, shocked to see the towering demon before him. Isabella could hear her father's gasps of terror as he stumbled backward.

Azazel spoke with a voice that rumbled like thunder, "If you value your life, you will leave and never return."

Isabella's father stumbled backward, tripping over his own feet as he ran down the hallway, shouting for help. Isabella watched as Azazel closed the door with a slam, turning back to face her.

"Remember, don't move an inch," he growled.

Isabella nodded, too terrified to speak, as she watched Azazel transform back into his human form. His green eyes blazed with fury as he walked towards her, and Isabella felt a sense of dread wash over her.

"Who was that?" he asked. Trembling in fear Isabella answered," My Father."

Azazel's grin widened as he heard Isabella confirm that the man was indeed her father. He knew that the pendant was protecting her and he couldn't hurt her directly, but he needed her help to break the curse that bound him.

Without warning, Azazel's expression changed, and his eyes blazed with fury. He advanced towards Isabella, causing her to take a step back. She could feel the air around her grow thick with tension as he spoke, his voice low and menacing.

"Break the curse or I kill your father," he growled, his voice laced with venom.

Isabella's eyes widened in terror as she realized the gravity of the situation. Azazel's eyes burned with an intensity that made her feel like she was standing too close to a raging fire.

Azazel stepped closer to her, his face inches away from hers. "Do not test my patience," he snarled, his breath hot on her face.

With a final warning glare, Azazel vanished from the room, leaving Isabella trembling with fear and uncertainty.
