Chapter 7 - Busy Day With Best Friend

Isabella parked her car in front of her library store and quickly got out. She pulled her keys out of her bag and rushed towards the door. She fumbled with the lock for a few seconds before finally managing to open it. As she stepped inside, she dropped her bag on the counter and made her way towards the book section.

The shelves were filled with books on magic, mythology, and mystery. Isabella browsed through them, looking for anything that might talk about Azazel. She ran her fingers along the spines of the books, pulling them out one by one and scanning their titles. Finally, her eyes fell on a book titled "The Anger of Azazel". She grabbed the book eagerly, feeling a rush of excitement and fear at the same time.

Isabella held the book close to her chest as she walked back to the counter. She opened the book and flipped through the pages, scanning the text for any information about Azazel. As she read on, she discovered that the book focused solely on the early life of Azazel.

The pages described him as the god of thunder and lightning, a powerful and feared deity in the immortal world. The book went on to explain how Azazel had challenged his own father, the god of gods, to a duel. It was a bold move, one that showed Azazel's ambition and his desire for power.

But the duel had not ended in Azazel's favor. He had been defeated by his father, and as punishment, he was banished from the immortal world. The book detailed how he descended to the mortal world, wreaking havoc and destruction wherever he went.

But even in the mortal world, Azazel's lust for power could not be quenched. He continued to cause chaos and destruction, gaining more and more power until he was finally cursed by a powerful sorcerer. The curse caused Azazel to fall into a deep slumber that lasted for more than 8,000 years now.

As Isabella read the words on the page, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The power and ambition that Azazel possessed were frightening, and the fact that he had been cursed and was now awake in the mortal world was a cause for concern. She let out a sigh of frustration as she closed the book and put it down on the counter. She had been hoping to find more information about who cursed Azazel and how to break the curse. But it seemed like this book wasn't going to be much help after all.

As she turned to leave the book section, she suddenly heard a familiar voice calling out her name. "Isabella! Isabella!"

Isabella turned around and was shocked to see her best friend, Sarah, standing there with a huge smile on her face. Sarah had been traveling around the world for the past six months, and Isabella had missed her dearly.

"Sarah!" Isabella cried out as she ran over to give her friend a hug. "I can't believe you're back! How was your trip?"

"It was amazing!" Sarah replied, still beaming. "I saw so many incredible places and met so many wonderful people. But I missed you so much! I had to come back early to surprise you."

Isabella couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over her. With everything that had been happening lately, it was nice to have her best friend back in town. "I'm so glad you're back," she said, still hugging Sarah tightly.

As they pulled away from each other, Sarah noticed the book on the counter. "What's this?" she asked, picking it up. "The Anger Of Azazel? That sounds intense."

Isabella took the book from Sarah's hands, trying to hide the worry in her eyes. "Oh, this? It's just a random book I picked up," she said with a forced smile as she placed the book back on the shelf. She knew she couldn't risk telling Sarah the truth about the book and the danger it posed to her life.

Sarah looked at Isabella suspiciously, "Are you sure? It seemed like you were really engrossed in it."

Isabella tried to sound convincing, "Yeah, I was just curious. But it's not really my thing. Let's grab a seat, we have so much to talk about."

Isabella smiled at Sarah and they both took a seat. She felt guilty for lying to her best friend, but she couldn't risk telling her about Azazel. As they sat down, Sarah hugged Isabella tightly and apologized for not being around when Isabella's mother passed away.

Isabella hugged her back and assured her that she wasn't angry with her. "I know you were out of the country, Sarah. I don't blame you for not being there," Isabella said with a small smile.

Sarah looked at Isabella with a sad expression. "I still feel terrible about it. Your mother was like a second mom to me," she said, her voice cracking a little.

Isabella took Sarah's hand in hers and gave it a gentle squeeze. "I know, Sarah. But you're here now, and that's what matters. I've missed you so much," she said, smiling again.

Sarah smiled back and looked around the library. "This place looks amazing, Isabella. You've done a great job," she said, admiring the shelves of books.

Isabella thanked her and asked her what she had been up to for the past six months. Sarah started telling her about her travels and the different countries she had visited. Isabella listened intently, grateful for the distraction from her worries.

Isabella and Sarah had a lovely time catching up and laughing over old memories. However, their conversation was abruptly interrupted by the sound of the library's front door opening and closing repeatedly. Isabella's attention was drawn to the influx of customers who had just walked in, browsing the shelves for their desired books.

Isabella and Sarah quickly rose to their feet, putting on their professional faces as they welcomed the customers and attended to their various needs. Sarah was a big help, answering inquiries, recommending books, and handling the cash register, while Isabella went around the store, organizing books and restocking the shelves.

Despite the busyness, they managed to maintain their cool and cheerful disposition, and their hard work was rewarded with satisfied customers who left the store with smiles on their faces. The constant influx of people kept them occupied for hours, and before they knew it, it was time to lock up and go home.

Isabella and Sarah bid each other goodbye, promising to catch up soon. Isabella got into her car and drove down to her apartment.
