Class 3 West was emitting a lot of noise, just like every other day.
Everybody minded their own business, some finishing up assignments, others immersed in study, and those elements of society whose only purpose for coming to school was to disturb the bookworms.
The door opened, and a familiar face came into view.
The entire class went dead silent.
You could even hear a pin drop in a place this quiet.
Simultaneously, the class got up and said, "Good Morning, Lady Boss."
"Lady Boss?" Davina was confused. Since when did she become the boss?
Despite the thoughts running around in her head, she managed a weak, "Hi class," and took her seat.
Claire came in a few minutes later, and her eyes darted around the room, as if in search of something.
Davina and Claire's eyes met, and they entered a deadlock stare.
Claire really wanted to do something, beat her, curse at her, anything!
But the memories of the last time the duo fought played again in her mind, and she decided to play nice for now.
"Hello D."
Davina was caught slightly off guard, but quickly composed herself.
"Morning Claire."
The girl went to take her seat, and Davina tried her best to not look behind her.
A voice bellowed, "And now our Mathematics Lesson begins!!"

Jayden hid under the bed, but not after locking his bedroom door.
He adjusted himself to the confinement and slowed down his breathing.
He couldn't see a thing in this darkness, and it was at that moment that his eyes began to glow.
His glowing gold eyes met a pair of red eyes, and it got him into a huge fright.
His eyes faded, and so did the red eyes.
'The heck?!'
Jayden rubbed his head, which he had banged on the bed in fright.
What just happened?
Just then, he heard footsteps in the room.
He peeked from under the bed, and saw the non mistakable pair of super hot legs walking.
'How did she come in without breaking the door?'
He moved, ever so quietly, and managed to get into a position where he could see the door.
It was open, the key inside the keyhole like he left it.
He gasped sharply, and instantly cursed afterwards.
Erica began to walk to the bed.....
Jayden went motionless, and he tried his best to slow down his heartbeat, but all he did was make it beat faster.
Suddenly, Erica stopped, then turned to walk out the room.
Jayden waited for a few seconds just to make sure she was gone.
'Wish I had my sense of super hearing right about now.'
And as if per request, his hearing slowly heightened, and he heard footsteps going downstairs.
Jayden got out from under the bed and heaved a sigh of relief.
A hand came out of nowhere and slapped the back of his head and he nearly crashed into the wall.
He turned around, and instantly paled.
"You didn't think we were done, did you?"
Jayden placed his hands together as though he were begging, and he was.
Erica's smile grew bigger.
'Just you wait, Aunt Erica!' Jayden yelled in his head. 'I won't always be weaker than you, and the day that happens, I'll pay you back tenfold!'
Erica burst out laughing and said, "How have you felt every time you saw me?"
Jayden answered, "Scared to death?"
Erica said, "Good. I want you to get accustomed to that feeling. Never let you guard down like you did just now, got it?"
Jayden answered, "Got it," then found himself on the floor three seconds after.
"What was that for!!?" He asked, anger visible on his face.
"But you said you got it?" Erica was puzzled.
'Did he even hear a single word I said?'

"Whoa man, that is messed up!" Austin commented after Jayden narrated his ordeal with his aunt who was slowly becoming a demon in his eyes.
Austin said, "You are okay right now, right?"
Jayden nodded before touching the back of his head.
"Maybe not completely," he confessed before wincing in pain.
Austin got an idea, as the light bulb in his mind lit up.
"Hey Jay, I have an idea, are you ready to hear it?"
The pain subsided, rendering Jayden Greystone fully healed.
"Tell me."
Austin said, "Your aunt has been teaching you for the past few days, correct?"
"Yeah?"
"You're confident you can hold you own against her, right?"
Jayden paused before replying, "I can block her attacks for a while before she speeds up and kicks my backside."
Jayden felt a phantom pain in his arse and subconsciously rubbed it. He felt the urge to scream. It felt so real.
Maybe it was.
Jayden turned around and barely managed to stop Austin's fist that stopped a hair's breath from his face.
Jayden couldn't help but ask, "Did you just.....kick my arse?"
Austin got into a fighting stance.
"Fight me."

In a certain room...
"When do you plan on leaving?"
"Two days before the Full Moon."
"You are aware that you're running away isn't going to make the problem disappear, right?"
Adrian snapped, "I'm not running away! I'm here for the next three weeks anyway, I don't know what the fuss is all about."
Adrian was sitting at a table with six other figures.
"For how long will you be gone?" One of the figures asked.
"At least three days, that should be enough."
The figures nodded in approval.
Another asked, "How's your son?"
"He's with my sister."
The figure spoke again, "Ah yes, Erica. I do hope to meet her again."
Adrian's voice turned slightly dark as he said, "Be careful where you stand, lest you fall."
The figure replied, "Is that a threat?"
An object sank into the table, right in front of the figure.
"I don't know, why don't you find out?" Adrian asked, as the room temperature dropped.
There was a moment of silence as the duo stared into each other's eyes, neither one refusing to back down.
Finally, the figure sighed, "Whatever. I take back my words."
"That's more like it," Adrian said as he got up and walked out the room. The others got up and followed, leaving him alone.
