Jayden clenched his fist. He could feel it, though his body changed not on the outside, it wasn't the same.
A soft breeze blew on him, and his body shivered.
'What the heck!?' It hit him that all his life, he had never felt cold.
It was a feeling foreign to him, and he didn't like it one bit.
The cold was becoming unbearable for Jayden, thus he hastily scurried into his room and into the blankets.
'And you want me to believe that humans feel this all the time!?' Well, they did, but not to that extent.
Since the feeling was still new and his body hadn't adapted to it yet, it was an agonizing experience. Coupled with the fact that they were entering the second week of July, it made it worse.
A thought invaded Jayden's mind, causing him to shiver once again.
'I hope that other Werewolf doesn't know about this.'
Luckily for him, the Alpha was oblivious to it.

"Elena, could you tell me a story?" Hayley begged Elena, who was trying her best not to yell at the sweet little girl ruining her concentration.
'Can't she see I'm trying to do my homework!?'
Her homework in actuality was lying on the bed and thinking about the events of the day, Jayden and his friends, to be more specific.
She analyzed them one by one.
Aiden. Handsome, playful, sharp tongue, friendly.
Austin. Handsome (though not on Aiden's level), sociable, a lot more serious than Aiden.
Maya. Distant, quiet and apparently has anger issues. Elena had noticed when Aiden and Austin took her outside.
Then lastly, Jayden. Gorgeous, but there was something quite.....different about him, something she couldn't put her finger on.
She felt as though beneath that smiling, handsome face was something hidden. Her childhood instincts kicked in.
'Detective Silver, on the case!'
She was forcibly dragged out of her thought process by Hayley, who had tears in her eyes.
"Elena!! You promised me in the morning!"
Elena realized Hayley would keep pestering her, and she sighed in defeat.
"Okay, now sit up straight, let me tell you the story." Hayley sat on the bed and looked at her with an innocent face, like a good little girl.
Elena's eye twitched. "Once upon a time..."

Maya was in her room, paintbrush in hand. Underneath that shy, paranoid personality was a wonderful artist desiring to be released.
With smooth, easy strokes the brush moved. The room was silent. A few thoughts crossed Maya's mind.
'Why did I get angry that time?' she wondered as she remembered the incident with Elena. Now that she thought about it, it was indeed kind of childish, what she did.
Her hand faltered for a moment. Maya stared blankly at the painting.
'What....the heck.....is this??'
Even she didn't know what she had painted. Thinking too much really did affect the painting of an artist.
For a split second, she thought she saw the face of a man in the painting.

Hayley left the room, and Elena heaved a huge sigh of relief.
Elena told the story perfectly. Sofia, who came in halfway through the tale, was captivated by the way Elena told it. Hayley listened in utter silence from beginning to end. The horror began after Elena said the words, "The End."
Hayley bombarded the poor girl with a million questions regarding errors she found in the story. Then a million more concerning other things, and to be honest, Elena felt like packing her bags and going back to the United States that very moment.
Sofia managed to chase her out by saying, "I'll tell Gary you stole sugar this morning, Hayley."
With that, the little girl was nowhere to be seen.
Elena looked at Sofia for a good while. "What's the matter, sweetie?" Sofia asked.
"Hayley isn't allowed to steal sugar, yet YOU are?" Sofia asked, "What are you talking about?" Her face was twitching, so she smiled to cover it up.
"Don't play innocent when I can clearly see granules of sugar on the side of your mouth." Elena knew it, Sofia was caught.
"Its not just me, even Gary takes a pinch or two in secret!" Sofia claimed.
"Ever seen him do it?" "No."
Sofia dived down just as Elena swung her hand to slap her.
Gary entered the room. "Girls, you're making noise for Hayley, she's asleep!" he whispered.
Elena and Sofia looked at him with shocked expressions.
Hayley, who had barely left the room forty five seconds ago, was sleeping!?
"Excuse me, could you please repeat what you just said?" Sofia asked. According to her calculations, it would take fifteen seconds for Hayley to get to her room, three to open the door, three to close it, four to go on the bed, seven to get into the blankets and ten more to find d a comfortable position.
All this takes forty two seconds!
Gary gave Sofia a stern look. Elena spoke, "Good evening, Chief Chevenix."
It was then that Gary realized there was someone else in the room. He looked at her intently for a while, racking his brains to remember who it was.
"Long time no see, Miss Silver. How have you been?"
"I've been great and you?" They exchanged pleasantries and Gary left the room.
"How old is Gary now?" Elena asked. "He's twenty nine."
"That young? How the hell did he become the Chief of the police force?!" Sofia replied, "I don't know if it's true or not, but rumors say that the title 'Chief of Phoenix City Police Force' has been with the Chevenix Family for centuries."
"So you're telling me that there's always been a Chevenix as Chief for hundreds of years?" Elena didn't believe it one bit, but seeing the look on Sofia's face, she probably wasn't lying.
The duo talked more for a while then went to sleep.

The road was empty. A woman in high heels stood on the sidewalk, smoking a cigarette.
She took a puff, unaware that it could very well be her last.
