Aiden and Austin were sweating heavily, wondering why it felt like it was their fault Jayden was a wanted fugitive.
Maya was staring daggers at the both of them, and said, "I'll say it once more. Why is it that the three of you vanished before the game, and that very night Jayden was announced a wanted criminal, while you two went scot free?"
Aiden and Austin really felt like telling her the truth, especially Aiden, since he had been nearly killed by Jayden twice.
Unfortunately, this was a secret that could not be revealed, not even to their childhood friend.
Maya noticed their hesitance and said, "You don't want to tell me? Fine! I'll find out myself!" She walked off, leaving the A duo wondering whether to stop her or not, as she was about to tread on dangerous ground.
"Don't worry, she'll never find out. At least, not yet."
They slowly walked back to their classes, knowing full well that they had angered their friend, to save another friend.

Ethan kept looking at his wounds that had yet to heal after two days, and looked around.
"I know you're here. I want answers!"
Silence.
Ethan was frustrated. "You said that after biting me, I would become like you! So why am I like this!?"
A deep, menacing but calm voice sounded, "Patience, little one."
Shadows covered the room Ethan was recuperating in, and he saw the familiar red eyes in the darkness.
"Its funny that you decide to complain the very minute it starts."
As soon as he finished his sentence, Ethan felt a slight burning sensation in his chest. Gradually, the heat increased, but Ethan was still able to bear with it as it spread out all over his body.
The heat subsided. "Is it done?" He was sweating buckets now.
"The venom was just getting acquainted with your body. Now the real fun begins."
Ethan felt as though he had been placed in a river of boiling lava and he fell to the ground, trying his best not to scream. He finally shrieked in agony as his bones began to break and reform multiple times over.
His skin started peeling off, revealing his flesh, and new skin grew. Ethan could feel every single bit of his body being reforged though the pain.
Ten minutes later, the pain abruptly stopped. Ethan's throat had gone dry, no sound came out.
Slowly, he rose, and stood upright.
He turned his head to face the sky and let out a loud, bone chilling roar that shook the house he was in.
He then faced the Alpha, his eyes a pale blue.
"Congratulations, Ethan. You are one of us now."
Ethan thought, "Its a good thing I came to the private house, else I'd have caused a commotion.'
In truth, he had caused a commotion, for he was heard.
Erica, who was chatting with Adrian on the phone, heard the roar.
"That's not Jayden."
Jayden, who had hidden in an abandoned underground subway, heard it too.
"I wonder who that could be."
Ethan asked the Alpha, "If I were to fight Jayden now, who would win?"
"Most definitely you."
"Why's that?"
"Because Jayden is an Omega, and you are a..."
"Beta," Ethan finished off with a smile.
'Wait and see, Jayden. I will make you suffer pain unimaginable.'
The Alpha, seeing the look in Ethan's eyes, said, "Patience, Ethan. It won't be long till Jayden comes looking for you."
"What do you mean?"
"Jayden thinks he killed you, but he didn't. If he is smart enough, he will go through his memories of the Full Moon, and eliminate possible suspects as to those who could have seen him as he is. That, coupled with your enmity, will trace back to you. He will find you and attempt to make you get him exonerated, but he has no idea what awaits him."
"So when he comes, I can finally have my way with him! Perfect, though your plan doesn't sound that good."
"I never was that good at explaining plans, so bear with me. And your sentence made you sound like a pervert."
Ethan's face went red. "Sorry about that," and he turned to face the Alpha.
But he was gone.

Nightfall
Jayden was in the amusement park, where he would spend his night.
"There's non moon tonight," he muttered to himself.
He sat down on a bench and started thinking.
'That night, I remember killing sixteen people. That was all of them, right? No, they were eighteen...'
'Sixteen gangsters and who else?' His memory was still a bit fuzzy, playing cat and mouse with the police for two days straight took a toll on him.
'Aiden was there, and so was Ethan....'
It all dawned on him that moment.
'Sixteen dead, two alive. Aiden knocked me out and took me to that warehouse, but what happened to Ethan?'
'The only one left was Ethan, that bastard! It could only be him! It must be!'
He clenched his fist and slammed it on the bench.
"Aaargh!!!!"
Jayden fell to the ground in pain.
"What the hell?!"
His bones had cracked, and they weren't healing.
"What's going on?"
He thought of all possible explanations , and the most plausible one didn't make him happy, not one bit.
'Could it be.....I've been weakened by the absence of the Moon?'
Jayden's face instantly paled. He felt fear, a kind of fear he had never felt before.
'Why am I feeling so afraid? Its not like there are any other Werewolves in New Phoenix, right?'
Then it hit him. That night he had been beaten half to death by a strange dark figure.
"That guy should be a Werewolf like be, but far stronger. A bigger threat than the cops. And the roar I heard this evening, should be another one."
At that moment, Jayden felt utterly weak.
'I have nowhere to run. I'm doomed.'

Aiden's phone rang.
"Hello?" He said in a slow, groggy voice.
"Wake up sleepyhead, its Maya."
Aiden bolted out of the bed and said, "I'm awake, what is it?"
"I'm headed into the city to look for Jayden, and the both of you are coming with me."
Aiden started sweating. 'She'll find out sooner at this rate. But at least we can pretend like we didn't know, right?'
"Okay, I'm on my way."
Maya replied, "Good. Meet me at the base of the Greystone Hill within 10 minutes."
