Chapter 29 - The Tide Of Battle Shifts

After Kane and a couple of his strongest players fell the chain of command began to crumble as the sudden death of their war general and a handful of their strongest players was too abrupt.

The commanders who were under Kane's command tried to lead yet they were bickering on who would replace the generals place. Each one of them wanted to lead not only to experience being the general of such a large army but also to garner a few achievments and showcase their talents that were being overshadowed by their domineering general.

The three demons that they had summoned had long since succumb to all the damage that they have recieved and turned into nothing. Only a bloodly battlefield spoke of their existence.

With Winter recovering from her wounds she led the army with full force as Flake logged in to support her. They were outnumbered but with Winter's prowess and the collapse of Fallen Moon's general the battle could be tipped into an even playing field.

To take advantage of their lack of leadership Winter struck Fallen Moon's frontline like a spearhead and easily broke past the weak players breaking the already fragile formation.

Morale was a big factor in a battle and suddenly losing your leader while in the midst of a favourable battle was unexpected. Not only had the situation spooked the players and the commanders but it also weakened their overflowing morale.

Winter's prescence was like a meteor striking them head one. They knew of her strength and talent.

She was a prodigy born from a rich and respectable family. A family that branched into the world of gaming, mainly VRMMORPG's. A family full of talented people yet Winter was considered below average before her family yet she was treated all the same.

Though she was considered below average that didn't mean that she wasn't a powerhouse. Afterall she was nurtured and trained by countless capable people who would be considered the top 1% in their specific fields.

She wasn't as respected and looked upto like her sister and brothers but nonetheless these players before her would gladly bow their heads to receive her mercy.

Flake was quick to call for more backup when she was logged off. Even if Kane ran at full speed, Snow's reinforcements would arrive earlier than he would. It was a win for Snow and all they had to do was wait for the reinforcements to arrive.

After the encounter with Winter Zoom ran off back to the city. He was done looting for today. He had too much loot anyways.

Zoom looked through his inventory to count everything that he had which were.

2637 Weapons verying between level 20 - 60.

7729 Different types of armour varying between level 20 - 60.

102 Artifacts verying between level 40 - 60.

Zoom could only take a deep breath after seeing this much loot. It was more than he had expected and knew that at the very least he would get a billion UC.

A billion UC!

A player right now could only dream of even seeing that much money first hand.

Even a tier 1 guild only had slightly more than a billion right now.

Zoom was like a tier 1 guild himself. Zoom had plans on what he would spend but firstly he wanted to buy sets of items for him and his summons. To hasten his growth he must first equip himself with better tools for growth.

Next would be to buy a lot of beast cores. Too many to count.

But to start spending he would have to firstly sell his items. What better place to sell his items than the adventurer's guild. Fair prices and a trustworthy reputation.

Zoom went to the adventurer's guild and sold his items. At first they were surprised then skeptical but they gave Zoom the benefit of the doubt and gave him a price which Zoom happily accepted.

Who wouldn't be surprised at seeing someone suddenly sell ten thousand items out of the blue.

After the transaction was comepleted smoothly the employee who had done the transaction with Zoom gave him a card. The card that Zoom was given was called 'Retailer's Of The Adventurer's Guild'.

A card given to those who sold thousands of items to the Adventurer's guild in bulk were bound to be given such a card giving them accept to a limited amount of previliges which the most prominent one being the fact that those with the card can ask to buy from the Adventurer's guild's inventory of items that weren't listed on their shop.

Such an advantage was sought after by countless people. With this card Zoom had asked the employee about the details of the card where he was informed of it's other benefits.

Tier 1 VIP treatment when it came to selling items.

A 5% UC bonus when selling items.

The first one was pretty decent but the second benefit was like a goldmine being discovered. A 5% bonus when he sold items!

Keep in mind that Zoom's card was only a basic card. He concluded that there should be a higher level card given to larger retailers and suppliers.

Zoom had plans popping up in his mind as he looked at his newly acquired card with glee.

Zoom had over 2 billion UC currently. He was rich, very rich but he knew an amount like this wouldn't last for long. After all Zoom's next expenditure would be in items and most importantly beast cores.

The goal was to reach tier 2 as quickly as he could but getting the necessary amount of beast cores was going to take quite awhile. He was a solo player after all and unlike those in higher positions who could obtain cores by simply commanding their subordinates Zoom had to manually kill monsters.

If it was only Zoom who needed to reach tier 2 then Zoom had no problem with reaching tier 2 in maybe a month or two. But Zoom had also realised that he needed to upgrade his summons to two as well!

This was going to be problematic but at least Zoom had Davie and his summons to help him.
