Chapter 32 - Giving Services To Guilds (2)

Zoom had continued this for the next hour over and over. Some players were now gathered a few tens of meters away looking at Zoom's direction.

None dared to come closer fearing the presence of the guild officials of the guilds.

After the transaction was complete the vice guild master of the current guild that Zoom was having a transaction with said, "Would you like join our guild? We will give you great benefits equal to even a commander."

Zoom had wanted to cut the person off before they would finish their sentence but Zoom didn't want to show disrespect. He knew his limits and acted accordingly. He wasn't going to act high and mighty in front of these guild officials nor was he going to be trampled by them.

He gave a stern "No" to the other party where the other party added, "If the benefits aren't exciting enough how about we negotiate about it. We will outmatch any guild who have given you and offer."

Zoom sighed internally and said in a neutral tone, "I am currently not looking for guilds nor will I be looking for one in the near future."

The guild officials could only sigh and didn't press for a negotiation. They didn't want to become forceful fearing that this mysterious player would no longer provide them with his services.

Of course Zoom couldn't join the guilds since he was already a member of Snow. He could've left Snow for the benefits that each guild provided him. Accepting their offers was like a boost throwing Zoom from being a member to a commander level official.

But though the benefits were enticing Zoom would rather hide his identity. Zoom had already thought that the benefits that the guilds provided would not be equal to the amount of money he could garner from the countless guilds lining up to acquire his services.

So continuing the process Zoom was now transacting with Roneal. Roneal had personally came together with a few of his elite faction members.

Roneal had a friendly smile as he approached Zoom who immediately went straight to the point and gave Roneal the contract. Roneal had first wanted to ask this cloaked person to join his faction within Snow but I guess that would happen after.

After reading and signing the contract Zoom stood from his seat and went to do his thing. Seeing that Zoom had left Roneal sent a message to someone saying, "Go!"

Away from his vision and without any clue of their presence two disguised players were tailing Zoom while a player was standing in line at the marketplace to send info to Roneal.

There were more than just three players tailing Zoom. Players from the different guilds that he had transacted with and some who he had not transacted with were tailing Zoom. Some only wanting to spy and learn Zoom's secret while some were waiting for Zoom to exit the building to ambush him.

Zoom continued to sell the items before giving the UC to Roneal who had asked Zoom about joining his faction where the latter firmly declined giving Roneal a few reasons why. In order to not make a scene Roneal gave a goodbye and walked away to contain his anger.

He was a man with a fragile ego and a personality that made him angry at the slightest mishap. He was born and raised in an environment where he was boss, his wishes were granted, wants were given to him with a snap of a finger.

But for this cloaked man to decline his personal invitation was an insult!

But he was a professional and knew to not make a scene and burst out in anger. He hated being rejected but what he loved was revenge. Even when the other party had only slightly bothered Roneal the latter would no doubt be fuming in annoyance.

The world revolved around him and him alone is what Roneal always said to himself.

He was a vice guild master that yearned for the guild master's position. Being second and below someone was a blow to his ego.

To unleash his vengeance Roneal would first have to find out about this cloaked man's identity. Roneal would then capture and force Zoom to join him with a binding contract. He would then use Zoom as a tool to obtain 5% more UC when selling his stuff while at time giving the fellow a few hardships to soothe his mood.

Soon it was Winter's turn to transact with Zoom who didn't waste any time. Just like the other guild's Winter was also curious of this cloaked player's identity and had scouts positioned everywhere giving her every single detail.

There were ways to pierce through a weak cloak like Zoom's but the cheapest way was to use a wind device or skill that was blast the hood away revealing the wearer.

After the transaction was complete Winter immediately stood from her seat not before she had asked Zoom to join her guild where she was declined. She gave thanks to Zoom before leaving.

Zoom didn't rush to leave and stayed for three minutes before he left his seat. He knew he was being followed and recorded by the players. An ambush was also possible but as long as he had his cloak on he could hide his identity and continue to remain here.

He walked past the entrance of the building while he held his hood tightly in order for to not let it be taken off. He wasn't going to let the same thing happen twice, the first thing he would buy would be a better cloak in order to hide his identity when he needs to.

Zoom walked on the sidewalks waiting for someone. The spies, scouts and assassins ready to execute their plans were looking at Zoom waiting for a perfect opportunity. Zoom was too close to the adventurer's guild building and opted to wait. They were all well aware that other guilds were here to exact the same thing.

This was a competition where the winner gets a new tool that grants a great advantage for them. But would Zoom allow himself to become such a tool?
