The road ahead of Everett wasn't as easy as she expected. Walking next to the ferocious lycans was even more frightening. The carriage in front of her was pulled slowly as the person inside that carriage had no rush. Taking a deep breath, Everrett continued to walk, her heavy ball gown hitting the muddy roads. It was difficult to walk as her heels started to leave bruises on her feet.
She bit her lips to refrain herself from crying. Her feet were swollen. She could no longer walk as she stopped for a second to take a breath. As soon as she stopped walking, a growl came from the lycan. Everett snapped out of her daze, appearing scared to see the long cannies of the Lycan. They wanted her to walk even though she was hurting.
On the other side, Fredrick was peeping through the small hole of the carriage occasionally. He saw her crying face. A satisfied smile formed on his lips. Looking back to the memories, he still couldn't believe that he kept his words. The seven kingdoms were under his feet now. The Lycans which were long gone had become the rulers finally. His eyes were shining in pride. Turning his head back to the front, he said with a heavy sigh,
" I made this, father. We are one and only now. Lucerys's daughter is my slave now. I will torture them till hell."
He sat back proudly, his face beaming in contentment. No one knew how he returned from death but Fredrick remembered the fateful night well, the torturous days as he fought to survive. Compared to his own suffering, he believed that Lucerys and his daughter deserved everything, happening to them.
On the other side, Everett's feet had started bleeding nearly. She had no choice but to pause between her walk and took her heels off. Afterwards, her delicate feet started walking through the muddy street, ignoring the materials which could tear her feet apart. The Lycans showed mercy to her. They showed their cannies as soon as she started walking slowly.
Crossing the lands of their own kingdom, Everett finally entered into the busy town. The people from the local market started screaming as soon as they saw a bunch of lycans coming on their way. Everett felt pity for those people who ran away in fear. But a group of people stopped nearby to stare at the woman with the Lycans. They made a face of disbelief then began to say loudly,
" Isn't that our princess? Where is she going? Wait! Today was her wedding day. How did she get involved with those beasts?"
A woman appeared next to those men. She looked like a maid from the castle. She whispered to them with a hateful voice,
" She is sold to our new king. Our king Lucerys is no longer in charge. He has paid to this Lycan king with his daughter."
Another man replied, widening his eyes,
" What are you saying? Our princess is a slave now?"
Another man added it with a sneer, glaring hatefully at the carriage,
" It's better be! She was no good. Haven't you heard before? She is a jinx. She brings bad luck to everyone around her."
The woman agreed, picking up a nearby stone,
" Right! Even her sisters dislike her. Let's force her to stay away from us. She is a bad luck for our kingdom. It's better for her to leave. Gentlemen, let's throw stones and rotten vegetables at her. Careful about those beasts. I don't want them to attack us."
Those petty men agreed quickly. They picked up whatever was near their feet and waited for them to reach their standing spot. Everett didn't hear them but she felt ashamed to see their mocking glares. As soon as the carriage began to pass them, the men started shouting and throwing different objects like rotten tomatoes, stones,
" Go away, Jinx Princess! Go away!"
" Shoo..Shoo.. Bad luck... Leave our land holly.."
Everett was shocked for a moment. Before she could react, one by one different objects were thrown at her body. A small stone hit her forehead as she let out a cry of pain. She couldn't believe that her own people were bashing her. She had no fault in everything.
The Lycans didn't react to their bashing. They were told to treat her rudely. So, their bashing didn't matter to them. The bashing continued longer than expected. The men were too satisfied to embarrass their princess. They picked a new round of objects and began to throw again, completely ignoring the blood on her forehead.
Fredrick heard the commotion outside. Although he guessed what was happening, he didn't bother to come down. However, the commotion continued wildly. He had no choice but to stop the carriage, coming out with his mighty appearance. He roared at the dissing crowd,
" STOP!!!!!"
He then signalled at his lycans. The pack leader understood his assignment and roared at the crowd. The crowd was quickly dismissed and had run in different directions. They were scared to face the lycans.
Fredrick's eyes fell on the girl who was fully dirty. Her wedding gown was completely destroyed by those throwing objects. She was shivering and crying silently. Fredrick merely rolled his eyes at her state. After a pause, he ordered in a cold voice, going back to sit in his carriage,
" Get on the carriage! You people will waste my time only."
Everett at first thought that she heard him wrong. But the Lycans suddenly opened a path for her, showing her way to the carriage. Everett could no longer stand everything. She sighed before started walking to the carriage. She slipped inside the carriage nervously and sat opposite Fredrick whose red eyes were watching her closely. After a few moments, he said with an evil smile, looking down at her wedding gown which had a red tomato, implanted on it,
" I like you in this state better. Look at you. You look no less than a cheap slave."
