Everett bit her lips together so hard that it almost started bleeding. She hated the sarcastic remark on Fredrick's face. Even though the claimed king was evil, his facial features were undeniably handsome. His broad shoulders gave off a masculine vibe. The shade on his eyeballs matched with his hair colors. His smirk could be described as a devilish smirk. He didn't hide his satisfied smile when he saw Everett in her dirty state.
Everett replied, biting her lips in the cold,
" I am your slave, Your Highness. I should look like that."
By agreeing to be his mistress, she had already sold herself to this Lycan king. Was there any prestige left for her? No! The humans of her kingdom never accept her back as a princess. She would no longer have her own family. She would be cheap and unworthy in everyone's eyes.
Fredrick snorted, irritated to see her calm face,
" Better remember that! You shouldn't forget it once you enter my territory."
Everett felt a cold shiver running down her spine. By explaining his territory, she had a feeling that the place he lived wouldn't bring any good for her. But she resigned her fate to this beast. There was no going back until she died or was probably murdered by Frederick one day.
The carriage ran through a strange path. As much as Everett could see through the peepholes, they crossed the river, the mountains of her father's kingdom. After they came in front of the black river, a sheep waited for them. However, they didn't need to get down as the carriage was pulled on the sheep. Everett could only sigh in distress. King Fredrick was too cold to talk. He kept glaring at her face as if he couldn't wait to smash her head.
The sheep boarded for half an hour. Later the carriage started to run again, going through the different paths of black trees. The whole atmosphere gave a dark vibe, fearing her little heart more and more. Everett couldn't help but ask, gripping her clothes nervously,
" Where.. where are we going..if you say.."
Fredrick shot her a glare. He replied lazily, stretching one of her arms on the backseat of the carriage,
" In hell, Princess! My place is no heaven for you. You will see much more of it."
Everett bit back her tongue to stop asking. She knew that he would never give her any proper answer. So, it was better to keep quiet. The carriage finally stopped in front of a dark, haunting castle.
Fredrick came out of the carriage first, not bothering to help Everett who had difficulties with her heavy wedding gown. As soon as she came out of the carriage, a gasp of surprise slipped out of her mouth. The carriage that stood in front of her eyes seemed nothing less than a haunted house. The carriage was black, a dark aura emitting aura. Like other castles, it wasn't limited to its main building. Many small buildings surrounded it from different corners. Even the sky above their heads was gloomy without any trace of the sun. The environment looked like there was no sun there for a long time.
Everett's eyes looked around to see more Lycans coming out of different directions. After coming halfway, they all transformed into masculine men, and each one of them had scary features. Their fierce eyes landed on Everrett who wondered behind their obvious disgust.
A tall man, wearing soldier clothes came forward to take a bow in front of Fredrick, his eyes curiously watching Everett,
" My king! Welcome back. We are pleased to see your victory. May I ask who is the lady behind? Pardon me, is he your wife?"
Fredrick let out a sinful laugh as if he heard the best joke of the year. He replied arrogantly, his eyes glowing in rage and pride,
" This is my price for winning over King Lucerys, Skol. It's his eldest daughter, Princess Everett Quintrell. She is here to serve me, pay for the sins that her family committed."
A growl came from Skol's back. A figure whose features were quite similar to Skol's face groaned his words out, stepping forward aggressively,
" WE SHOULD KILL HER RIGHT AWAY, MY KING. SHE IS OUR ENEMY. LET ME FINISH HER. SHE SHOULDN'T LIVE HERE."
Another animalistic growl came from Fredrick's mouth. He shot a death glare at the guy and said in a loud voice,
" HOW DARE YOU QUESTION MY DECISION, REMUS? SHE IS MINE TO DECIDE. DO NOT FORGET WHO IS YOUR KING HERE. I WILL DECIDE WHEN I WILL KILL HER!!!"
Remus stopped abruptly on track, his face burning in anger. Still, he didn't dare to provoke Fredrick. He knew what could happen if Fredrick's Lycan came out to show his authority. Skol shot his son a glare as he began to speak again politely,
" But my king! Her presence here might raise questions. Why are you bothering to keep her?"
Fredrick replied with a smirk, his eyes sneaking a glance at Everett who stood a few steps away from them,
" I want to punish them slowly for their sins, for destroying my family. Is there any problem, Skol?"
The other lycans showed disgust toward Everett as well. They wanted her blood on their lips but they were loyal to Fredrick who was the reason behind their lives. Skol had no choice but to submit, keeping his head down in respect,
" No, my king. Whatever you wish!"
Fredrick raised his head again with a snort. As his murderous eyes swept the Lycans around, they didn't dare to utter another word of protest. Afterward, Fredrick looked at a woman who was standing far away,
" Bring me the collar of slaves."
Everett widened her eyes in disbelief. She never expected that a mistress was treated like a slave. She saw Fredrick coming to her, carrying an iron collar. Her feet trembled as the man stopped right in front of her. His lips stretched into a cruel smile as he put it around her neck before whispering in a cold voice,
" Welcome To Hell, Princess!"
