"May the Goddess bless you" Eileen, said with a very bright smile - one that she always has on her face anytime she's walking the halls of the Sacred Palace - as she greeted the young group of seers and witches who walked opposite her direction
"Amin," the younglings said with a curt bow while waiting patiently for their High Priestess to pass by
These amongst many others are the laid down rule that guards the holy place, the palace where the Moon Goddess is the only god they serve, and the werewolves are the only creatures they provide their service to
Their ultimate purpose is to serve as a mediator between the goddess and her subjects whom she so wanted to call her children but can't because of the rift between them, a rift dates back to before Eileen's great-great-grandmother ever existed.
The High Priestess was reminiscing her previous action of teaching young guiders what it takes to serve in a Were-court – the ultimate dream of many guiders - while making her way to her room before she halted her steps involuntarily after her sight became blurry and her stepping, haltered
She could tell immediately that she was about to receive a message but the dimension and intensity of the message were what she wasn't aware of,
Before she could catch on what was going on, she fell to the ground and immediately started convulsing, streaks of visions passing through her sight, bloody visions that made her scared so much she was sweating
And with the vision, came a message
'For the two souls have met, at the wrong place, there shall be no peace, until all is united'
.
"Head Priestess!" Agatha, the witch's mother called frantically as she shook Eileen while three other witches said their healing incantations.
The moment she felt a tug of energy in the Palace, she made her way down from the prayer room only to come across a young seer, Eleanor, who was also coming to call her attention to their High Priestess
She did try not to panic but she couldn't help it when she saw Eileen, shaking vigorously on the floor with her face pale and her eyes all rolled back
She immediately called for three witch soul guiders to come to assist her, after which they cleared the environment of people and then tried to guide their Priestess back to life
"Eileen!" she called again and this time around, the sound of her name reached her hearing and jerked her out of her head
Fear was evident in her face and so was worry as she frantically looked around. The first thing she realized is that there isn't anyone except Agatha and three other women she knows she has seen before but couldn't place a name
"Eileen, are you okay?" Agatha asked in worry laced voice as she made a gesture, dismissing the soul guiders
"The wolves," Eileen whispered in a shaky voice after she was sure the women were out of earshot, but before she could continue, she heard someone call her from afar
"Priestess!" she heard once again and looked to Agatha to confirm if she was hearing right
"Here," Agatha said, lending Eileen a hand and helping her up, by the time she was up, the person calling her was close enough that she only had to take five steps to get in close contact, apparently, she was running
"Elena" Agatha said, recognizing the caller, Eleanor's twin, who was also looking frantic and disturbed, slightly due to her being short of breath
Agatha could tell a lot was going on as the energy in the Celestial palace kept increasing and she could feel a mild chaos brewing
"Lady Agatha, High Priestess," Elena said as she curtsied, all while breathing heavily
"Any reason for this rowdiness?" Eileen asked, still trying to keep her hands calm and her legs from being shaky
"Finally, two of the three watch stars have aligned," Elena said, the smile on her face so bright it was competing with the sun
"Really?" Agatha said, immediately understanding the message and the change in Elena's demeanor
"Yes, my lady," Elena said, still smiling hard
"Oh, my days," Agatha said, also joyful at the news "Bless us, Goddess Selene," she said, looking to the sky, "bless you, young one," she said to Elena, "Oh how I've prayed for this day to come" she cried
"High Priestess" Elena called as she noticed the priestess wasn't responding to the good news, how she would have expected, after all, all their lives are tied to the prophesy of the stars, it is their main purpose of living, the only reason they are still alive, according to history and myth
"My Goddess," Eileen said the moment the clock in her brain clicked and all the pieces of her puzzle fell into the right place
"What is it?" Agatha asked, feeling the brewing storm behind the Priestess's eyes
"As good as the news sounds, it is bad Agatha," she said, searching frantically for something in Agatha's eyes, hoping she would immediately understand what she meant as she didn't want to rouse fear in young Elena's mind
"Eileen" Agatha said, trying to read into the situation
'It's going to be a blood bath!' a weird voice which almost sounded like a shirl said to Agatha, a silent message passed between both the Priestess and the Witch mother, and as realization hit them both
"Goddess Selene," they both said, at the same time
Leaving young Elena very confused
