Gavin felt a sudden surge of strength in his body.
He quickly sat down and started cultivating according to the method he got on the spirit awakening ceremony.
Everyone who goes through the spiritual awakening ceremony also gets a basic cultivation manual.
Gavin has already memorized the manual and tries his hardest to cultivate daily, however, to his surprise he wasn't able to consolidate even a single wisp of Qi in past.
But today he could suddenly feel the rush of the huge amount of spiritual Qi in his body.
His bulging muscles turned red as a mana whirlpool formed around his body.
If anyone saw the amount of mana that was rushing into Gavin's body, he would spit a mouthful of blood.
His dantian started filling with Qi and soon enough a boom ranged in his body.
"Grade two!"
He already broke through grade two in just a few seconds, however, his growth didn't just stop there.
Just a few seconds later another boom rang in his body.
"Grade three!"
.
.
.
"Grade Four!"
.
.
.
"Grade Five!"
.
.
.
And finally "Grade Six!"
His cultivation reached grade six and stopped.
"This is amazing!" He yelled and jumped out of the pit.
His body was covered with bulging muscles like a gorilla's.
His eyes were sharp and there were no signs of injuries on his body.
"Finally! I will now take my revenge!"
He clenched his fist in determination.
"Melissa! You just wait, I will make you beg for death!" He roared all his anger out.
He then looked at the Golden hammer in his hand and then de summoned it.
And just as he did so his body returned to normal and even his cultivation dropped down to only Grade three.
Gavin raised his brow at this revelation. He was aware that his body's size was more than j just moments ago.
He then summoned his hammer again, however, nothing happened.
His body and cultivation were the same, at grade three.
"Should I insert some Qi into it?" He moved a Qi wisp from his dantian to his hand and from there to the hammer.
And as soon as he did that, his body metamorphised again.
He was now the same bulking giant, that he was just a few moments ago.
"So this is how it works." Vanishing his hammer he returned to his normal state and then looked ahead.
Just a few steps from him, Jack's unconscious body was laying there with burn marks on his chest.
He moved towards him to check his pulse.
"He is dead!"
A frown appeared on his face and he backed up a few steps from the body.
"If I go to the village now, then the village chief will kill me. As Jack was chief's nephew."
The village chief is the strongest in the village, sitting at Martial Garde ten, even in his giant form, Gavin is no competition for him.
The chief also has a beast spirit, a crimson parrot.
It could easily track Gavin if he didn't run away now.
And it's not only about the village chief, his father also owns an iron wolf as a spirit that could easily track down Jack's body and could also smell Gavin's presence.
Gavin clenched his fist.
"I will return as the strongest one day."
He promised and turned back.
Turning around he returned to his giant form and started running towards the nearest town.
As he was running on the gravel path, suddenly he felt light, like he could fly.
His body seemed like a balloon.
"Could this hammer make me fly?"
He stopped and tested his theory.
There were not many spirits that can help one to fly.
It's only after reaching Martial Grade twenty that one can think of flying with the help of their Qi.
He raised his hammer towards the sky and thought about lifting from the ground and to his surprise he did so effortlessly.
He thought that flying would be difficult, however with the help of his hammer it seemed very easy.
Like it was natural to him.
A giant smile formed on his face as he wooshed through the air, reaching the clouds in a matter of seconds.
"Hahaha.." The cold wind and the rush of adrenaline made him laugh from his heart.
"This is amazing!"
Above the clouds, he felt the rising rays of the sun on his body, which felt like rays of hope for his future.
.....
A few hours later.
At the pit where the lightning struck, two men were standing with a solemn expressions on their faces.
"Chief, Jack is dead."
A middle-aged man in a black coat said as he checked the teen laying on the ground.
"Harvey, do you thnik that it's your son who did this?" Village Chief asked as he looked at the man in the coat.
Harvey stood up and then looked at the black wolf beside him.
"I can't tell for sure, but my wolf can smell that Gavin was here."
"Hmm," the Village chief nodded and contemplated something.
"Even if he did kill Jack, I am sure that he will die in the wilderness." Harvey said and stood up and made the Iron Wolf search the area.
"I don't think so. I think he got his hands on an ancient treasure, that was the reason he was able to summon lightning and even your Iron Wolf can't seem to trace him after a certain distance, it's like he vanished in thin air." Village Chief said while also inspecting Jack's corpse.
He then looked at the parrot sitting on his shoulder. "Release him."
Listening to his orders the parrot opened its mouth and shot outbursts of flames that completely disintegrated Jack's corpse.
"Chief, why are you burning him?"
The village chief didn't answer Harvey's question and silently stood up.
"I think he went towards the redwood town, we should capture him before he becomes any big trouble than he already is."
Harvey listened to him and understood what the chief meant, previously the whole village shunned Gavin and now he has got his hands on a heaven-defying treasure so nobody could tell, what he would do in the future, to the village.
"Yes, chief! But what if he is already too powerful for us?"
"No, he isn't, if he was then all of us would be dead already, I think he ran away because he didn't gain enough power to take his revenge."
Gavin gulped his saliva and nodded in understanding.
After that, both of them didn't say anything but started running toward Redwood City.
.....
Gavin on the other hand already reached the edge of Redwood city thanks to his superbly fast flying ability.
His hulking body landed on the ground as he looked at the stone walls in front of him. In the center, there was a gate with a sign saying "Redwood Town"
Gavin turned his appearance to normal and started moving towards the gate. He could see that a guard was standing at the gate with red leather armor and blonde hair. He looked fierce and upright.
"Hey, Kid! Where do you think you are going? This is no place that beggers like you can enter." The guard said and waved his hand. "Just go back to the settlement."
The guard was actually talking about the slum settlement that was outside the walls.
Javin didn't fight him as he could see that the guard was taking one silver coin from everyone that was entering the town and currently he doesn't have anything in his possession.
He turned back and entered the wilderness again. "I have to earn some money first."
A few hours later in the jungle.
Standing between a bed of trees, he saw a Giant tiger in front of him. It was a wild beast at Martial Grade Seven.
*Roar* the wild tiger opened its mouth and jumped towards Gavin.
Gavin took a step back and turned into his giant shape and floated in the air just at the distance where the tiger can't reach him.
His hammer in his hand, and just as he inserted some more Qi in it.
It started glowing with lightning.
In the past hour, Gavin discovered two new things about his hammer.
The first one is that it could emit lightning and the second one is that it absorbed the beast's cores to raise his cultivation.
Gavin pointed his hammer toward the tiger and with a boom lighting shot toward the tiger.
*Buzz*
*Haaaa...* The tiger jumped around in anger as electricity flowed through its body.
Burn marks started forming on its skin.
Jumping, the tiger finally got away from the trail of lightning.
The tiger then looked at Gavin with killing intent.
However, Gavin was floating in the air, which was the reason that the tiger couldn't reach him despite being one level higher than him.
The tiger then opened his mouth and a pool of Qi started circling in a shape of a ball in front of it.
Gavin raised his brows at the unexpected attack and dodged sideways.
However, he was too late as the Fiery Rays brushed past his shoulder burning it up.
Blood started dropping from his shoulder as Gavin's eyes become bloodshot.
He raised his muscular frame even higher in the air and started summoning lightning without stopping.
"Just die!"
