Chapter 12 - Dangerous Circumstances

This might be my best chance to handle him, if he were to transform into even his third form I might not be able to manage it, I thought to myself.

Raditz commented passionately, "If that's lord Frieza I'd love to get a piece of him!"

The story is so radically different, normally Gohan and Krillin would be the ones here, I mean Bulma too but all things considered, she didn't fight, I thought to myself.

As Raditz began to stand up to approach the ship I grabbed his hand, yanking him back down, "Chill, as much as I'd love to rush in and start dishing out attacks, underestimating Frieza is a fool's game."

Irritated by my comment, Raditz in frustration says, "You seem to know an awful lot about Frieza despite never leaving Earth!"

Hushing Raditz, I quickly and quietly retorted, "Shhh! Shut the fuck up, don't shout."

Groaning in response, Raditz loudly continued, "How am I supposed to trust you if you don't explain anything!"

This idiot won't shut up! I thought to myself.

"Magic," I quietly yet sharply retorted.

Puzzled, Raditz calms down, looking at me he asks, "Magic?"

I called him an idiot, yet here I am saying I can use magic, I thought to myself.

"I can't control it, but I can see the future occasionally... I've seen both of our deaths," I loosely retorted.

Jesus, no way he believes that, what a damn moron, I thought to myself.

Raditz responds, "That makes more sense than what I thought."

Shocked, I retort, "...Really?"

"If I'm being honest I thought you were a member of the Frieza force who left," Raditz responded.

Maybe he is retarded, but I guess I could see that... wait how is that less sensible? I thought to myself with confusion.

Shaking the confusion away, I quickly ask, "Kogon, how quickly do you think you could arrange the dragon balls?"

Responding shortly, Kogon answers, "I would only need to travel to Grints village and then to Guru, in total an hour."

Nodding my head, I ask, "We'll wait for an hour, after that, we're going to take a crack at Frieza."

Turning to Kogon, I say, "Best of luck."

Rocketing off, Kogon races to Grints village, biding our time we wait by a nearby ridge.

"That namekian isn't a talkative one, I honestly forget he's there sometimes," Raditz commented.

Scratching my head I eat some preserved food, responding slowly as I eat, "Namekians are a unique race, they get a lot of shit they shouldn't."

Looking at the ocean, Raditz looks around before saying, "This planet is quite odd, while I didn't see much of it, the ocean of Earth is blue correct?"

"Yup," I said, nodding my head as I finished off my food.

Crumpling the can in my hand, I stand up, hurling it out into space.

I'd rather not pollute such a pretty planet, I thought to myself.

"How did it feel?" Raditz asked.

Sitting back down, I respond, "What?"

"When your potential was unlocked."

"Oh that," I said with a jolt of realization, continuing shortly after, "It felt kinda mystical, but at the same time it didn't. At first, it was like a bolt of electricity coursing through me, but then it faded away and just felt odd."

Looking toward me, he asks, "It certainly made you stronger," scowling suddenly, Raditz thumps his hand on his thigh, "That damn namekian."

"Still upset about it?" I asked.

Sitting down in front of me, Raditz retorts, "Obviously!"

"That bastard denied me greater power, any real warrior would be upset," Raditz continued.

Curious, I asked, "Why didn't you kill him?"

Jostled by the question, Raditz retorted, "To be honest, it wasn't my first thought."

I'm honestly shocked, I never thought that Raditz could make such a tremendous change, maybe he'll work then... I thought to myself.

"I'm quite shocked, in the past, you were much more volatile," I retorted.

Scowling, Raditz says, "Anything is more volatile than you, the fact you bothered to keep the soldiers alive was laughable because, in the end, they'd kill you in a heartbeat."

Rubbing my hands together, I respond, "In the past, I'd have done just as you said, but recently I've grown to tread more carefully, so as to not lose myself to my own pride."

Scoffing, Raditz retorts, "We saiyans pride ourselves on our capacity for violence, so I can't understand a race like yours," standing up soon after.

He's still got a ways to go though... I thought to myself.

A beep on Raditz's scouter indicates the passing of the hour.

Standing up, I announce, "Time to take out a tyrant."

Floating up into the air, we rush off toward Freiza's ship, arriving shortly after.

Landing on the ground we notice a distinct lack of enemies, looking around we decide to enter the ship, going in through the bottom deck.

Entering inside cheers can be heard inside a hall, entering we are soon face to face with several dozen Freiza force soldiers, making merry and drinking.

"Remember, non-lethal Raditz," I chided Raditz.

Charging a beam in his hands he groans, retorting, "Fine, I'll tone it back enough to not kill them."

A beam erupts from his palm, crashing through the soldiers and the ship, blowing out through it and incapacitating the soldiers.

"That was easy," Raditz said with a chuckle.

A sudden fist is thrown toward my head, ducking down it crashes into Raditz's shoulder, sending him flying through the ship.

Looking to see who struck us, I am face to face with Burter.

"Hmph, what feeble prey have we here? The feline's leftovers?" Burter taunted.

Close behind him is the entirety of the Ginyu Force.

Shit, Ginyu, I got to kill him instantly, I can't risk a body change, I thought to myself.

Vanishing from my spot, I blast a hole through Ginyu's chest, destroying his heart.

Ginyu's eyes slowly have the light fade from them, but not before he can begin to mutter a word.

Quickly, I kick his torso, throwing him out of the ship, before firing a violent beam of ki at him, destroying his body.

Turning to face the Ginyu force, they all look on in horror, Jeice soon speaking up, "Oi, did youse guys see that? The Cap'n, he's gone in a blink of an eye!"

Raditz rips back in, covered in dirt, punching his fist through Guldo's head, "Die!"

Lunging forward, I throw a gut punch into Recoome, dropping him to the ground, keeled over in pain.

"Where is the one that hit me!" Raditz said fuming in anger.

Stepping backward, Jeice starts to speak, "Oi, it wasn't me, mat-"

Blasting a wave of energy in Jeice's face, Raditz wipes the dirt off his face, "I feel much better now."

As the smoke clears Jeice's body is left standing from will alone, soon collapsing to the floor, headless.

"Prepare yourself to meet your doom, for I, the Blue Hurricane, shall send you to the afterlife!" Burter roared as he rushed Raditz.

Grabbing his wrist, Raditz's eyes flash with rage, "So it was you!"

Hurling him out of the ship, he rushes after him, leaving me with Recoome.

"You good man?" I asked.

Leaning over I offered my hand, Recoome swatting it away, standing up, and taking a swing at me.

"Don't blame me, I tried," I commented.

I'll at least make it painless, I thought to myself.

Pointing my hand toward him, I stop his fist, pushing him backward, before firing a beam through his head, killing him instantly.

Crashing back into the ship, Burter's mangled corpse collapses onto the floor with the others.

Raditz soon drops from the sky, landing next to me, "Blue bastard got what he deserved."

Looking to Recoome, Raditz comments, "Thought you wanted to take him alive," he said, bumping his shoulder into mine.

"I gave him a chance," I said with a shrug.

"Look at that, my precious Ginyu force, dead in an instant," an ominous voice narrated.

Looking around I feel for a power level, feeling a large one in the sky above me.

"Up!" I shouted to Raditz.

Rocketing upward, I smash through the hull of the ship, flying upward into the sky to meet the man himself.

"Frieza..." I commented aloud.

Quickly catching up to me, Raditz floats next to me, Frieza in front of us.

Irritated, Frieza says, "You two seem to have had a lot of fun while I was gone," growing angrier, he grits his teeth as he says, "I hope it was worth it!"

With a flash of light, Frieza enters his second form, and a tall and intimidating aura befalls him.

Looking at Raditz, Frieza comments, "You're a saiyan, did Vegeta forget to leash one of his dogs?"

"Vegeta's dead," Raditz bluntly stated.

"Oh my," Frieza said.

Looking both of us over, Frieza states, "Would that by chance make you the last saiyan?"

Quickly retorting, Raditz cockily exclaims, "Eat shit, like hell I'd tell you," Raditz said as he flipped off Frieza, with his tongue out in a display of mockery.

Bold doesn't do that justice... hold on, did he just protect Goku? I thought to myself.

A look of anger manifests itself on Frieza's face, "Oh ho ho, how amusing. Do you really believe that you possess the strength to stand before the mighty lord Frieza?"

"Raditz, stop pissing him off, you've got your point across," I chided Raditz.

Freiza's expression dulling, he looked toward me, commenting, "At least one of you are smart enough to realize the severity of their situation," grinning, Frieza asks, "How about you, would you like to join my glorious empire, you'd easily make commander."

"Sorry, but I'll have to pass, I'm not really interested in joining the Frieza Force," I retorted.

Sighing, Frieza remarks, "That is certainly a shame, I would've thought someone as level-headed as you would make a rational choice."

"I'm flattered but I'm as dumb as they come, thought you'd figure that, seeing as I'm challenging you," I responded.

Chuckling to himself, Frieza responds, "You certainly are honest, I'm almost going to regret killing you and stringing your corpse up for the enlistees to see."

Sheesh, morbid, I thought to myself.
