Kicking the revolver from his hand, Gurt stares on in shock and awe, before I lightly kick him in the chin, knocking him out.
The pirates anxiously shuffle in place, shakily holding their sights on me, before Yazzo rushes toward Gurt, dragging him toward the ship, "Get aboard, this guy's a monster!"
Clamoring aboard, Syn is left dumbfounded as he is soon left behind, forced to watch the ship rocket off without him.
Anxiously, Syn looked upward toward me, beams of sunlight wreathing my head, asking, "Who are you?"
Scratching my head, I crouch down next to him, offering my hand, "Names Adder, who might you be?"
Taking my hand, I pull him upward, bringing him to his feet, "Syn..." He says apprehensively.
"Looks like you don't have the best of friends Syn," I commented.
His gaze moves to his feet, sullenly saying, "Yeah right, I was just a tool to them, never even considered an equal, much less a friend."
Looking around, I noticed various pieces of equipment that were left behind, various tools and weapons on the ground scattered about.
"What were you doing on this planet?" I asked.
Flinching, Syn anxiously answers, "Captain wanted to capture some rare animals..."
Walking over to a revolver on the ground, I pick it up, twirling it on my finger, "Poachers huh..."
Looking at Syn, I exclaim, "Catch," tossing the weapon.
Fumbling his hands he barely manages to catch the weapon, with it nearly falling to the ground.
Chuckling, I comment, "I can tell you're a bit on edge."
"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you, in fact, quite the opposite," I continued.
Perplexed, Syn relaxes a bit before asking, "Why would you help me?"
"While I'd like to say something dramatically appropriate, I mainly just want some company on this planet," I retorted.
"How long have you been here?" Syn asked.
Pondering it for a moment, I eventually press a button on my scouter, "About half a year," I say in a stretched tone.
Shocked, Syn quickly says, "Half a year, I guess that makes sense, anyone stranded here for half a year would have to become as strong as you to survive."
Shaking my head, I retort, "Don't get it twisted, I'm not stranded... at least not in the conventional sense."
Turning his head to the side, Syn responds, "What does that mean?"
"Know how to fly?" I asked.
Landing on the ground, a terrified Syn shakily hops off my back, chiding, "Couldn't you have gone any slower!"
Looking forward, Syn spots the ship, immediately becoming enamored with it.
"What sort of ship is this!" Syn asked excitedly.
A bit taken aback by the sudden change of tone, I respond, "It's one of a kind."
Looking at me, Syn calms himself before asking, "Can I look inside?"
"Sure, let me just do something real fast..." I retorted.
Calling out for the Saibamen, they quickly walk out, much to Syn's horror, "Saibamen!"
Glancing toward Syn, I ask, "Are they that rare?"
"You're not by chance part of the Frieza force are you?" Syn asked fearfully.
Shaking my head sharply, I quickly explained, "God no, I got these from an attack ball I stole from them."
Dully looking at me, he eventually retorts, "So you aren't all rainbows either huh?"
"Hey, no one else was using it, I figured it shouldn't go to waste," I explained.
Glancing at the Saibamen, Syn asks, "Do they listen to you?"
"Certainly," I responded shortly.
Pausing for a moment, I reiterate, "I mean, they do, but I'm trying to treat them more like people rather than tools."
Looking to the horizon, I notice the sun setting soon, glancing back at Syn I ask, "How about this, feel free to look inside, and you are more than welcome to sleep here tonight."
Shocked, Syn starts to speak energetically, before stopping himself, asking, "What do I need to do in return..."
Puzzled for a moment, I looked back to him, "I guess you could teach me about other languages, I didn't really think about getting paid in return."
Walking into the ship, Syn commented, "You're odd..."
Heading to bed, I retort, "I get that a lot."
***
A loud clang wakes me, soon being welcomed by the sight of a filthy Syn with a mountain of tools in his arms.
"Morning?" I said, slowly rising from bed and getting dressed.
Glancing over to me, Syn quickly says, "Oh, hi," mindlessly pressing on with his task.
Adjusting my shirt I head upstairs, seeing a large amount of parts sprawled out across the floor.
As I approach, Syn winces as I step on something, "I guess there are 9 now..."
Looking down at my foot, I lift it up to reveal a small device that has crushed underfoot.
Glancing toward Syn, I ask bluntly, "Where did you get this stuff."
"You had it in a compartment off to the side, I assume it is spare parts meant for repairs," Syn retorted.
"Uh-huh..." I said half-heartedly.
Like hell I'd know what to do with any of this, I thought to myself.
I watch Syn work for a few minutes, the speed and precision of his movements are astounding, with little error he pieces together a device.
"What's that?" I asked, pointing to the strange device.
Wiping his brow, Syn holds the device up, "It's a Skylink Antenna... at least it should be."
Taking a bite of a greenish fruit, I ask, "What does it do?"
"Let me show you," Syn said as he reached forward, carefully pressing a slew of buttons before flipping a small switch on the side of it.
The device whirs online, making several beeping noises before soon producing the same monotonous tone continuously.
"Well, it's supposed to scan a wide area for power levels, they're pretty expensive, so when you need one it's usually made by hand," Syn explained.
Tweaking its controls, Syn finally gets it to work, smiling to himself, "There we go!"
This guy's smart, having him around would be pretty handy, I thought to myself.
Looking at the monitor beside him, a jolt of concern shoots through him, "24,000!"
Glancing over at the monitor I spot 5 blips on it, quickly putting two and two together, "Oh, don't worry about that, they're on our side."
Looking up at me, Syn's face is pale, "Who?"
"It's probably the Saibamen, who knew they got that strong already," I explained.
His eyes widen as he looks back down at the device, quickly tweaking the device to produce the same monotonous tone as before.
"I thought it was just broken, the tone is coming from you..." Syn commented, staring at the screen.
"What does that tone mean?" I asked.
Thinking for a moment, Syn is deep in thought, "This device can't measure it... you're over the limit of the device."
Staring at the monitor, I suddenly notice a larger blip moving toward us, quickly I nod to Syn, "Hey uh, what's that?"
Grabbing the monitor, Syn closely looks at the monitor, "A second person above the limit!"
That's odd, can't sense them, I thought to myself.
"Which direction are they?" I asked.
Looking back down at the monitor, Syn quickly looks back to me, "West and approaching fast."
Vanishing, I reappeared above the ship, rocketing west, arriving face-to-face with a strange android.
"Who are you?" I asked calmly.
The android looked me up and down as if he were scanning me, before responding, "The great New Cold Force was alerted to a mysterious power on this planet, it seems those ruffians were telling the truth."
New Cold Force, what the fuck? I thought to myself in confusion.
"I've been assigned by grand commander Kuzak to put an end to your existence, please do not resist," the android declared.
"Who the hell is grand command-" I attempted to respond, with the android not hesitating to attack.
Pointing its palm toward me, a pillar of light erupted forth, smashing into me like a relentless tide, sending me rocketing into a mountain, blowing it to bits.
Unleashing my energy the surrounding rubble is sent flying away, with a dense pressure swirling in the air around me.
"Not nice," I commented.
The android zipped through the air toward me, crashing into me with a powerful kick to the chest.
Grabbing his ankle, I stop his assault, crashing it underhand.
Launching himself backward, he hovers in the air, seemingly thinking.
Suddenly an object rockets in from the distance, and the android's destroyed lower leg is ejected from his form and soon replaced with a new shiny leg.
"You stole that from iron man!" I remarked as I pointed at the android.
Sharing little concern, the android pulled its arms back, charging a well of energy.
At that angle I definitely need to be cautious, this bastard probably doesn't need to breathe... I thought to myself.
Pulling my arm behind me, I raise my power above the androids, noticing a slight twinge from the android. Dense white energy builds in my fist as the android threw his arms forward, a bright blue beam of energy thundering down towards me.
Rushing forward, I blast through its attack, shattering the beam, before lunging toward it, and planting a punch into the android's chest, sending it hurtling into the ground, causing a crater to explode into existence.
"Glad I managed to halt its attack before it could build up momentum," I commented, flying down toward the crater.
Landing on the edge of the crater, I carefully wait for the dust to settle, soon revealing an android missing its left arm and leg, with its torso heavily damaged.
Walking down the crater, I announce to the android, "Don't know if you have any self-preservation in that head of yours, but I don't care to help you, might be able to save you even."
Standing above the android, I pick it up by its head, "That's if you care to answer some questions for me."
The android calmly stares at me, unanswering, soon a crackly voice unlike its own speaks to me, "BK, what's going on, why did you start your emergency broadcast?"
"Emergency broadcast?" suddenly I noticed the large opening in its chest, a complex array of devices and components operating in tandem.
Looking back at the face of the android, I comment, "Sneaky bastard..."
The crackly voice erupts from the android again, "Did you take out BK? Who are you?"
Noticing a red blip in the eyes of the android, I look into them, "Yeah, I took out your android, is this grand commander Kuzak?"
Suddenly a boisterous voice comes alive, "You son of a bitch, you got a lot of nerve destroying the precious weapons of the great King Cold!"
King Cold, guess he never went to Earth and got diced, I thought to myself.
"Hey, do me a favor, tell King Cold I'll visit him soon," I kindly asked.
Before Kuzak could shout at me, I crushed the android's head, destroying whatever was allowing for communication.
Holding on tightly to the android, I flew back to the ship, touching down soon and dropping the android in front of Syn.
"What can you do with this?" I asked Syn calmly.
Looking up at me, Syn eagerly asked, "This is an elite combat model android, how did you beat it?"
Heading to the fridge, I glanced back, responding, "Bit of this and that."
