Chapter 21 - Loose Ends

Hopping in place an eager air possesses me.

Goku thrusts his arms to his side, gritting his teeth, a reddish energy swells around him, shouting, "Kaioken times 10!"

Wasting no time, Goku races forward faster than ever, clashing with me in a surge of wind that shook the air around us, nearby trees waxing and waning in its presence.

Trading dozens of punches and kicks the atmosphere crackles and pops with our electric exchange of blows.

With a strong punch to the face I send Goku flying, quickly skidding across the ground he adjusted himself in midair, firing a Kamehameha directly at me.

Putting my hands forward I prepare to take the blast, its force quickly smashing into my hands, as gradually I absorb the energy.

Noticing this Goku stops his assault, racing toward me through the tail end of the beam. As I drain the last of the energy I can Goku is suddenly in front of me and with a forceful kick sends me up into the air.

Surging through the air I slow myself, suddenly being launched forward, only to be bounced back and forth repeatedly like a pinball.

With one final punch, Goku launches me backward, breathing heavily and sweating profusely.

Coughing, I cleared my throat loudly at the same time flaring my aura to disperse the dust, "That was awesome, didn't give me even the slightest chance to fight back."

Putting my arms up, my aura strengthens itself into dense barriers around each of my fists, "In terms of martial arts, you've got me outright beat in just about every way..." an electric arc of ki bouncing from my covered hands as it's light fills the area, "...But the raw power I've got is crazy."

With a dash forward, I plant a single devastating punch into Goku's abdomen, gently standing next to him I release my transformation as I stop him from falling, whispering to myself and him, "But you'll eventually eclipse this..."

As Goku falls unconscious, I gently lay him on his back as the crowd converges on us, Piccolo sweating as he stares on, "With a single punch?" He says, his voice laced with shock.

"It was unfair from the start," Raditz says with his arms crossed, looking away with a disinterested look.

Yamcha balls his fist and holds it in front of him, "I didn't even know strength like that was possible!" He says shaking with excitement.

Grinning, I fist bump Yamcha as he slings Goku over his shoulder, "Let's put the big guy in bed, wouldn't want him laying about outside?"

Krillin approaches calmly with a subdued eagerness, "So Adder, how was that Namek place?"

Eyes and ears turn toward me as each await my answer, placing a hand on my chin I let out a musing noise as I retort, "It was actually peaceful for the most part."

I said calmly as I started to explain, detailing my arrival on Namek, my interactions with the Namekians, my travel to Planet Mogina and their people, and all the times in between.

"So you left their fate in that chieftains hands? Isn't he just gonna go back to using strength to rule?" Bulma stated calmly.

Shaking my head, I calmly retort, "He came a long way, he's plenty changed, to be honest..." I say standing up, "...I've changed quite a bit too."

Piccolo interjects, "At the very least your power has changed, just what happened to you that pushed you so far?"

Clearing my throat, I stuffed my hands in my pockets, "I just kept getting beat down and I refused to stop standing back up, it sort of came as a consequence I guess."

As they all look on at my back, I turn to Raditz, "Let's head home."

Flying off, the Z-Fighters looked on at us, our forms disappearing in an instant.

As we flew, Raditz alongside me, he turned to me asking in a curious tone, "What happened after I was transported to Earth, you said you fought all three of them..."

"What about it?" I say as I turn my head to him.

"How can a human rival those three at the same time," Raditz said with a suppressed scowl.

Sighing, I slow down, as Raditz slows down alongside me, "Do you want the truth?"

Raditz looks on shocked as I say this, "The truth?"

"Yes," I say calmly.

Looking me up and down, Raditz muses over me before crossing his arms, "Go on."

Exhaling, I relax a bit, "I'm not really from this world!" I say with a chuckle.

Looking on with a straight face, Raditz raises a brow, "What?"

Scratching the back of my head, I continue, "We managed to beat Frieza because of that, I managed to keep getting stronger for the same reason."

"How would that help beat Frieza," he says confused.

"The world I come from is very different, all of this reality, it's merely the creation of a man, an author and illustrator for a series," I say a bit nervously.

Staring on in shock, he balls his fists up, "I guess you must've went crazy when you were out there for so long," he said sternly.

"It's the truth," I say, suppressing that nervousness as I sharpen myself against this sternness that oozes out of him.

He looks on, sweating as he stares at me, his eyes lingering on my aura, "Explain it to me, how you killed Frieza because of that."

Still focused on him, I retort, "Frieza possessed at that point five distinct forms, each of which incurred him no penalty, excluding solely the last," I say as I hold my hand up, counting up with each finger.

Raising a brow, "So?"

"I have a keen understanding of just what each transformation meant for us, the first form would've been the best chance..." I explain gradually.

"...the second form would cause you trouble," I say calmly, "the third form was causing me tons of trouble," I say in a honest tone.

Raditz stares on, "What about his fourth and fifth form then?"

"We'd be dead right now had he managed to get an opening to unleash his fourth form," I say in a serious tone.

Raditz sweats a bit, "You've gotta be making this up!" He yells as he fumes at me.

"I haven't told a lie since we began this conversation," I say with a straight face.

Raditz goes to speak, but I quickly cut him off, "Why do I have to gain from lying about this, Frieza might've told more people before he died, I know very well he told King Cold and Cooler."

"If so, I've got a world of annoyance ahead of me from pursuers," I say with a long sigh.

Raditz scoffs, "At the very least your strength is real..." he says as he starts to fly off back toward Gero's Lab.

Within a brisk minute we arrive, unlike before contrasting the snowy land, a giant industrial complex has been erected in the middle of the mountains, a behemoth of steel and engineering.

"Gero's been busy..." I say in amazement.

Scoffing, Raditz looks over, "After you displayed that ludicrous power of yours back then, he's been dying to finally produce something that could rival you."

Stepping foot into an open space, a humanoid robot far more sophisticated than before approaches, "Sir Adder, Sir Raditz, how wonderful to have both of you at base for the first time in so long," the robot says in a dignified voice.

Walking past the robot, Raditz heeds it no mind as he waves his hand, "Come along Adder, Gero has a gift..."

Walking alongside Raditz, I pat the dignified robot on the back, whispering, "Thanks!"

Entering into a giant underground facility, the sounds of machinery dully hums throughout the building, contraptions winding down the chambers of the facility as I stand at the fore front of a giant hanger bay, strikingly similar to the old testing room Gero had built in the past.

"My my... Gero really was busy!" I say in shock, my eyes darting around this giant facility as slowly Gero rose through the air in a chair, his head resting in his hand.

Smirking, Gero stands from his chair, his body distinctly different from the past, "Adder, it's been quite some time."

My eyes widen as I think to myself, "He looks strikingly similar to his android self, was this the progression of his android body?"

Gero floated toward me, clacking down on the steel grate flooring, "As expected, you are much stronger than when we last spoke, your resting power level is around 530,000 now, but you're bound to be at least twice as strong as that when you get serious, no?"

Smirking to myself in awareness of that number in more than one way, I pull my hands out of my pockets, "Want some more data?"

Gero grins as his eyes gleam a dangerous red, soon four androids are to his sides, "Say hello to the Adder Model."

  1. Gero after much observation of Adder's body and fighting style managed to create a model of android based off of him.
