Athena POV
I got dressed and exited the room to see Bliss waiting for me across from the dorm room. "Finally! If the sun wasn't out I would have thought you tried to make a run for it" She slightly joked as she approached me. "Speaking of which..." I paused, turning to look at her. "How are we not burning up right now?" I questioned, pointing to the sun outside. "Oh, when our head Master built the school he put in windows infused with witches magic that blocks the sun from burning us all alive" She informed me. "Witches are real?" I arched my brow. She let out a soft giggle "Well of course silly, Didn't your creator teach you that?" She asked me. "No..." I shook my head. "You don't have that good of a creator then" She says. "You're telling me" I scoffed before she began to walk down the long hall. All sorts of Vampires had walked by, not one of them paying any mind to me or who I was. "So, This school was built in 1769 by both our head master Hyde and his right hand man Matthew" She informed me. I rolled my eyes at the sound of Matthews name. "I didn't realize we were both so old" I told her. She let out a slight hiccup before giggling, placing her hand over her mouth. I continued to follow her down to the huge hall, the tiles engraved with golden portraits. "Cool right?" Bliss smirked as she saw me staring at the tiles. "Each one is craved with One of the leaders of each Vampire coven" she informed me. "Oh, nice" I nodded. The walls were wooden with decorative structures on the corners. "We'll take the stairs, come on. Lots to see" She says as she turned the corner and began to make her way up the large black stairs case. "So, each floor has their own purpose" she went on explaining. "The first floor is where everyone sort of hangs out" she informed me. "Second floor is the boys and girls dorms for Koffin Kids" she says. "The third floor is Vampaws dorms then you know it goes up" she went on. "First rule is Girls and Boys are not allowed in each other's dorms, second is you must be on time for each class" she tells me, causing me to roll my eyes. "Third is absolutely no killing humans or fellow vampires" she explained to me. "Why?" I questioned. "Besides them being against the laws?" she knit her brows together, like I should have known it. "Right" I nodded. There was a long moment of silence before I spoke again. "So, Hyde. Does he roam the school often?" I asked her. "The Headmaster?" she shook her head. "No, he barely comes out of his office. Always sends Matthew to do any work" she informed me. "That's too bad" I said under my breath. She stopped and turned to me. "Don't do it" She tells me. "Don't do what?" I asked her. "Look, Hyde is one of the Headmaster of this school and on top of that he's been alive for a very long time" She went on. "So?" I knit my brows together. "Soooo" She dragged the word on before letting out a huff of air. "Many Vampires have tried to turn his attention but have ended up with nothing, I'm telling you for the sake of your own heart do not try to flirt with him" She warned me. "Okay" I laughed. "That goes for Matthew as well" She added. I rolled my eyes "Gross not in a million years would ever think about Matthew in that way" I informed her. "Why not?" she asked me as we started making our way down the stairs again. "Let's just say...." I paused for a moment, trying to think of a way to explain it. "We had a horrible first encounter and I don't plan on having another with him" I say. She knits her brows together before she changes the subject. "Okay, so as a Koffin Kid the first thing class you'll have is History, which is with Ms. Carol, she's great" Bliss goes on. "Second class you'll have is with Mr. Turner and it's Abilities and Senses he's sort of a hard ass but you'll learn he only does it to push us to do our best." We entered a large room with Vampires everywhere. My eyes scanned the room to see that all the Vampires were drinking blood out of plastic bags with a straw. "Follow me" She smiled before walking towards a woman who stood behind a counter. "Two 0 negatives please" Bliss ordered. "That will be 80 points" The woman informed Bliss. "Points?" I knit my brows together. "Everyone here is on a point system, better grades and the more you expand here in this school the more points you earn" She went on. "Then when you're finished with the school your leftover points are turned into money they give you to start out your new life" She explained. Bliss put a number into the computer before the woman had opened the counter and took out blood bags. In that moment my throat burned, itching with burn. A hiss released in my throat as I felt my fangs pop from my gums. "Woah, Athena calm down a little" Bliss slightly giggles as she hands over the blood bag. I ripped it open with my teeth and sucked down the red blood from the bag until it was dry. The taste was sweet and warm all the way down. I tossed the dry bag down "I'm...still hungry" I stated in a darker tone. "Listen...I know. We all know how it is but you can only have one for breakfast" The woman informed me, only causing me to become more upset. "I need more" I say. "I'm sorry but no" She shook her head. "Now! I raised my voice. "I think you need to tell your friend to relax" The woman glared at me. "Relax?" I scoffed. Angry had struck deep inside my body. "Don't...tell me to relax" I hissed at her. "Alright, I'm closing" She shook her head and put up a closed sign. "I need more! Give me more!" I shouted, the hunger only increased inside. "I said no, we're closed" She hung up a sign and I jumped over the counter top, shoving the woman into the wall. "Athena! No!" I heard a voice shout but when I opened my mouth my fangs came out and it was like I couldn't stop myself. Suddenly I was grabbed and knocked onto the floor, my body hitting it with a thud. I struggled against the person holding me down. "Stop! Athena!" The voice becomes clearer and I see Matthew is the one holding me down. "Let...go" I warned him. "You need to calm down, now" He ordered me. "Get off me!" I screamed at him. He wrapped his hand around my throat, squeezing it tightly "I said....calm down" He hissed out. There was no use in trying to fight free. I let out a huff and my body relaxed before he loosened his grip. "You good?" he asked me. "Y-yeah" I stuttered out. I don't know what came over me, I couldn't control my own body. Matthew stood to his feet and I stood up to see the woman I had attacked not moving. The look of fear and terror on her expression hit my stomach with guilt. "Are you okay Miss Stanley?" Matthew asked her. slowly approaching her with caution. "Yeah..." She nodded but the look on her face tells me otherwise. "Bliss, mind helping her clean up?" Matthew asked her. I looked around the room to see that everyone was staring. "You...headmasters office, now" He ordered me, grabbing my arm and piratically dragging me with him.
