The dream started with me falling from a cliff and though it should have killed me I managed to survive using a technique I did not yet know and I came across a hidden temple inside the dark rock at the bottom of the cave. All around you could feel an unstoppable presence around as if it was a shrine to the three main gods.
Intrigued I investigated. The temple was like a labyrinth with many rooms and passages with different puzzles you had to complete to escape. Eventually, I stumbled into the main shrine room but instead of being released there sat a singular blade not quite whole, but not destroyed either. I immediately went to reach for it and felt a shock through my body that caused me to rise. I immediately understood that to survive against even stronger creatures I was going to need to leave the safety of my home and go search for this blade. Maybe I could find answers to why my blade was vibrant and electric instead of dull and dead.
The next morning I told my brother to call immediately if something happened. I couldn't convince myself to put him in danger of the outside world. I decided to leave and immediately traveled to my school nearby, maybe I would be able to find some other survivors or at least a clue to what this temple was and where to find it.
I found neither though on my way down to the local gas station to scavenge for food and drinks I stumbled upon a group including only one person I knew, Zane. Zane was the strongest guy in 10th grade. He was known for taking down groups of seniors in hand-to-hand fights, he was the kinda guy you wanted to have around in an apocalypse. The other two I didn't recognize but they soon introduced themselves to be Kyle and Jaja. They looked athletic enough but would be dead meat eventually.
Either way, I decided to form a truce with them and accompanied them along their travels. Although I made sure to keep my blade hidden away in the Heavenly storage system or HSS for short.
