After slaying the beast the pain in my ribs returned stronger than before. Although I was on the verge of passing out from too much pain, I remember that I needed to catch up with the rest of the group although I had no idea how far they had run. Either way, I began my trek.
About a mile and a half later my body was beginning to fail, I knew if no one came back to help me I was dead for sure, luckily as my last bit of conscience escaped me, Zane came from nowhere and carried me to the cave where JaJa, Kyle, and him had been hiding out during the battle.
When I came back to my senses Zane had laid a wet rag on my forehead.
"Oh good you're awake, I was worried you died," Zane said once he realized I was awake
"Thanks for the good thoughts" I replied sarcastically. "Seriously though thanks for coming out to find me, I'd be dead if you hadn't"
Zane Scoffed slightly "I heard what sounded like a monster being killed so I went out to wait for you to show up. When it took you 30 minutes I figured I'd come looking for you"
"What happened out there? We could only see a bit but there were some crazy flashes of light, like something was summoning lightning or something. It kinda looked like the Flash was running around him" Kyle asks curiously.
"Oh... uh yeah that it was actually a random dude, he wore a mask so I don't know who he is, but he had some kind of cool lightning sword thing and ran at super speed. He defeated the monster, I tried to help but got bruised up pretty bad" I reply trying not to sound scared
"Oh cool" JaJa answers "Did the masked guy say what to call him"?
"No, he just fought the creature and then left" I respond, quickly trying to end this conversation.
A few days later, Once I had finally gather up enough strength to continue the journey we got back on the move. I could sense that we were drawing nearer to the ancient weapon I had seen in my dream I just didn't know how to find it. Along the way I took down three more monsters all being lower-leveled and being slain with one slash to the throat. But sooner than I thought, JaJa and Kyle showed what they were really after.
