Madeleine who understood what was going to happen right now quickly uses her spell shield on the stupid lycan who dashed into the room in his wolf form.
Alexander growled at her and turn towards her, luckily she's also using the spell shield on herself.
"You are scaring your mate again!" Madeleine hollers, hoping this will go a long way in calming the supreme alpha.
"Alpha is me Dylan!" the lycan intruder screams through the mind-link trying to save his ass from the furious lycan. He knew better well to call him with his title rather than his name.
Fortunately, Alexander recently opened his mind-link few minutes ago and he heard Dylan's voice shriek in his head but what made him to quickly calm his wolf is what Madeleine said.
He relax his muscles and his half shift body shifted back to his human form. He close his eyes and took a deep breath, finally he was able to keep his wolf at bay and his red eyes changed back to deep green color.
Seeing his frightened mate, Alexander scolded himself inwardly. He really need to learn how to control his anger—both he and his wolf.
"Muriel," he calls softly. Alexander believes his mate has a beautiful name but this is not the right time to reason that.
He's close to her but she drifted back shivering like someone who just came out from the deep freezer.
Her heart was pounding loudly, just a few minutes ago she saw that same beast that tore her father apart though their color was different but they looked the same.
The beast that killed her father was black in color while this particular one she saw a few minutes ago was gray in color and looked more huge.
Her body is shocking compulsively and her palms are becoming sweaty. The image of how her parents died came flashing through her mind and this made hot tears run down her cheeks and the pains returned.
"Why the heck did you barge into here in that form!" Alexander howls through the mind-link. He doesn't want his mate to get scared again but this stupid lycan ruined it.
His voice was so deafening that it made Dylan's limbs feel numb. His voice blared in Dylan's head, making his whole body shook. He nearly gave up and fell on his knees but he tried to withstand the gravity.
He was able to do so because Alexander used a mild tone of his alpha tone. But it doesn't mean that his mild alpha tone doesn't affect some lycans and werewolves and make them fall on their knees, it does. But for Dylan who has a strong gamma blood running through his veins, Alexander's mild alpha tone can only make him bow his head in submission. But once he uses his strong alpha tone, no one in the pack can withstand it.
He only uses his strong alpha tone on his enemies, Dylan is lucky to be his cousin, if not he will use the strong alpha tone that can possibly inflict great pain on him.
"I'm here to convey a message to you," Dylan replied, choosing his words carefully. The supreme alpha's wrath is not something anyone would wish to face.
Alexander didn't say anything, he just turned to his quaking mate. He draw her close to his embrace. She struggles to break free but he didn't allow her.
Few seconds later she was able to calm down and surprisingly she felt safe in his arms.
Dylan stare at them with confusion written on his face. He's amazed to see the supreme alpha acting calmly and sweetly to someone… this is incredulous.
The supreme alpha doesn't even allow women come an inch to him accept Madeleine. Who is this frail girl in his arms?
Dylan wanted to think that the girl could be his mate but he remembered that the supreme alpha is not likely to have a mate. Everyone has concluded so, because he was supposed to meet his mate years ago but he didn't.
The only conclusion everyone could give to it, is that he doesn't have a mate. The supreme alpha had been mateless for years and it looks like he doesn't even need one anymore.
When Madeleine eyes met with Dylan's eyes. She can feel that the lycan is trying to ask her some question but they can't communicate in his wolf form since Madeleine is not a werewolve nor a lycan
"Who's she?" That was the question in Dylan's mind. Madeleine understood him because the lycan's eyes tell off his thoughts.
"His mate," Madeleine simply reply.
"Is easy to guess without asking," she add.
Is Madeleine being serious or what?
But she could be right. There is only one answer to why the supreme alpha is acting all calm and nice with this frail pale girl in his arms and the answer is that she's his mate, though he never thought that the supreme alpha could be so gentle with his mate.
The supreme alpha supposed to meet his mate years ago but he didn't, so everyone in the pack thought that he could never have a mate.
Dylan doesn't know what expression to give in seeing the supreme alpha's mate.
The supreme alpha's mate appeared all of a sudden and no one has found out about her.
Dylan can't believe that this little fragile girl which the alpha can snap in a blink of second is his mate and she's going to become the supreme Luna of both the lycanthropes and werewolves.
"Madeleine," Alexander calls. "Make her sleep."
Madeleine was a little bit taken aback, isn't this the same man that bawled at her for using the sleeping spell on his mate a while ago.
Without any wrangle, Madeleine simply used the sleeping spell on Muriel.
In just some seconds, she fell asleep in Alexander's arms. He gently lay her on the bed and draw the duvet to cover her delicate body.
"What message are you talking about, Dylan?" Alexander ask through the mind-link.
"A vampire was caught at the boarders," Dylan replied.
Alexander shot him a glare before saying; "Is this why you dashed in here like a thief and scared my mate?"
Dylan knew quite well that Alexander doesn't like the issue of rogues being reported to him but no one in the pack could help it because this is the first time a rogue has dared invade into the capital pack despite it's securities. For taking such risk of invading into the capital pack, everyone belived he must be here for a great reason and the supreme alpha's attention is greatly needed.
Hearing from Alexander that this girl is his mate, Dylan was more convinced.
"Some of the elders belived that the vampire lagged at the boarder for a reason. Everyone was looking for you and no one could reach you through the mind-link. I smelled your scent up here, that was why I came."
"And why did you have to come in your wolf form?"
"I…"
"Let's go," Alexander doesn't seem interested in his explantation. This cousin of his, is still immature.
"Take care of her," he said to Madeleine before leaving with Dylan.
