Chereads / Supreme Alpha And The Last Pure Blood Witch / Chapter 11 - 11. Muriel is gone!

Chapter 11 - 11. Muriel is gone!

In a dab and grimy coven, the only thing pleasant is the golden throne situated at the big podium which meets the wall. The podium was covered with dingy marbles and nothing eye-catching was there except the throne.

A pale woman draped in a red coat with a crescent crown on her head is seated on the throne.

Her nails are so long and painted with red color. Her lime green eyes flicker in the dim coven.

Two scungy looking girls are standing at her both sides, one on the left while the other on the right as they waggle the leather hand-fan to pass some air on her pale skin.

Suddenly, a mild wind blew and some twinkles of black ashes filled a compatible part in the coven before it disappeared at the appearance of a male silhouette.

The small light in the coven didn't give any justice in revealing the face of the man but the lime green eyed woman knows who he is.

She has a smug smile on her reddish lips but it quickly disappeared the moment the man dropped the information he was asked to gather. It wasn't good news at all.

"What!"The woman stood up in rage, her beautiful lime green eyes turned pitch black and her face darkened in fury.

Her heart was rising and falling in anger and the darkness on her face became more visible.

Some creepy dark smoke started coming out from her palm and then, it also started coming out from her body as a whole.

There was an ominous silence in the coven. The two girls who stood at her sides, stopped fanning and threw their face down as they quiver, their teeth clattering as if they are shuddering in cold.

The man who conveyed the message wasn't left out. He's also damped in fear and it's clearly visible in his eyes. They all know how vicious this woman can be when she's angry.

The presence of this woman when she's angry is not something they could withstand.

"Who killed them?" her voice irked, full of rage.

"I… I didn't…"

The man couldn't finish his words before the woman grabbed one of the girls beside her and dipped her long nails into her neck and strangled her in the blink of an eye. The other girl whimpered in fear, no one needed to tell her that she's next. She just couldn't believe that her life would end today, her body wouldn't stop shaking.

"The girl, what about her!" The lime green eyed woman hollers, there's a lot of gravity in her voice.

"She…she.. wasn't there, I.. only saw the bodies of her parents. Her father was unrecognizable."

The man was shuddering as he spoke, his words not coherent at all.

The lime green eyed woman got more enraged and without wasting time, she grabbed the other girl, held her neck tightly as she lifted her above the scuzzy floor and in a split second, she snapped the girl's neck, dropping her lifeless body. It seems killing is the only way to quench her anger.

Her pitch black eyes glower sullenly at the man who's trembling like a freezing dog. Luckily for him, the lime green eyed woman didn't kill him but her voice thundered in the spooky coven.

"You must find the girl!"

..

Alexander's mind is nowhere in what these people before him are blabbing. His mind is on his mate, he doesn't want to leave her for a second and can't stop thinking about her.

He knows leaving her in Madeleine's care is a good choice because she can protect her but he's still worried about her. He just doesn't want to leave her side.

"Supreme alpha, the case of rogues invading our territory should be taken seriously. This is the first time a rogue has invaded the capital pack excluding the lower packs which they are often seen in. We shouldn't just ignore the issue and let it slide," a middle aged man said. His voice was quavering.

This hunky man's presence is dominating and intimidating. Everyone was seated with their sweaty hands and their slightly shaking selves.

It was the middle aged man that had the courage to stand up and speak about the matter at hand.

"Fergus," Alexander's voice is so cold like a freezing ice, his voice was the only thing that was heard in the silent room. No one dares to murmur or speak when the supreme alpha is around, unless you are asked to speak. "You heard what I said a while ago. The intruder should be killed. Stop making issues where there's none."

"But…"

"My words are final Fergus."

Fergus subconsciously flinched a bit. There was certainty and authority in Alexander's voice. His voice always holds that unique power that could send a shiver down anyone's spine.

He continued, "No one should ever call my attention to matters like this. I will only attend to crucial and reasonable matters."

His rigid voice let out the words before he stood up and walked out from the room like a devil walking under the shadow without any interruption. He can't believe he left his mate behind and came here for such a useless matter.

No one in the room dared to speak again. The supreme alpha's words are always final, whether it suits your desire or not.

The only thing they could do when he left was to murmur that they are dissatisfied about his decision but no one is valiant enough to say it out loud as they believed the walls have ears and no one wants to face the supreme alpha's wrath.

They don't know why the supreme alpha is less concerned about this issue of rogues invading the pack. This situation shouldn't be taken lightly, this rogue that invaded their pack, should be interrogated and not killed just like that. They believe they will get something from him once they interrogate him but the supreme alpha ordered that he should be killed, he believes there is no point in interrogating him. They hope this doesn't pose future threats to the pack.

Alexander was striding towards the room where Muriel is but finds Madeleine on his way.

"Where the heck are you coming from? I told you to take care of Muriel!" he snapped.

"I didn't leave her on purpose, she was sleeping and I needed to take care of something before returning back to her," Madeleine tried explaining but Alexander ignored her and took a long stride towards the room.

He flapped the door open and walked in hastily but the bed was empty, Muriel wasn't on the bed. His eyes scanned the whole room but she was not where to be found.

Muriel is gone!
