The next morning, Megan woke up and saw the clock on the wall reading nine thirty eight am.
"It's good to see you awake," Mrs. Denver told Megan.
"How are you feeling?" asked mr denver.
"I'm fine," said Megan.
"That's good, the doctors want to do a few checks and tests on you over the next few days to work out what's going on and to see what they can do to help you," Mrs Denver told Megan.
"There is nothing to worry about, the tests won't hurt and will be over before you know it," Mr Denver told Megan.
"Are there any updates on the others?" asked Megan.
"Not much but they are all fine nothing too bad" said Mrs Denver.
Megan and her parents talked, and before they knew it, It was lunchtime, some nurses brought Megan some lunch and Dr Richards followed behind.
"As I mentioned yesterday, we would like to do a few tests on you over the next few days to get a better idea of what's going on with you if that's ok with you," Doctor Richards told Megan.
"That's fine," Megan told doctor Richards.
"We will leave you to have your lunch, and then we will take you to the ct room and get started on the first of the Tests. The first one is a ct scan. Unfortunately, your parents can't come in with you, but they can wait outside" Doctor Richards told Megan.
"That's ok, will this test be able to tell you what's going on with me?" Megan asked.
"Not completely but it will give us a better idea, yes," Doctor richards told Megan.
Dr Richards then left the room and when Megan finished her lunch he returned again.
After putting her plate back on the table that was positioned over her bed, Megan pushed it away.
she then got up and followed Dr. Richards out of the room.
"We will be waiting here for you to return," Mrs Denver told Megan just as she went to leave the room.
"Ok," Megan said with a smile she then walked out of the room.
"Don't worry so much honey she's ok she'll be back soon it's good they're doing these tests it will help us know what's going on with her and how to help her" Mr Denver told mrs denver.
"I know, I'm just worried," Mrs Denver told mr Denver.
"That's normal especially with what she's been through," Mr Denver told mrs denver.
Mrs Denver then fell asleep, as she had stayed awake most of the night worrying about Megan.
90 minutes later As Megan was brought back into the room, mrs Denver woke up.
" How long will it be until we have the results or know anything from the test?" asked Mrs Denver.
" unfortunately those test results do take a while to come back I have marked it as urgent so it should be quicker than normal but even then it probably won't back till tomorrow or the day after but we can continue to treat her for what we do know in the meantime" Dr Richards told mrs denver.
"OK thank you," said Mrs Denver
Dr Richards then left Megan and her parents alone in the room.
"Sarah will probably be released in a couple of days if all goes to plan, so we can try to arrange for her to come and visit if you want her to," Mrs Denver told Megan.
"Yeah, maybe," Megan said, sounding unsure.
" Sarah or any of the others don't have to visit if you don't want them to it's just I thought you would want them to with all of you being so inseparable and so close," Mrs Denver told megan.
"No of course I want to see them it's not that it's just I don't know how they're going to react to whatever's happening to me, what if they don't like me anymore because of it, or they can't deal with it or handle it" Megan told mrs denver.
"Their parents already know, and they will be telling them before they come and visit I'm sure it will be fine don't worry about it, you four have always been so inseparable so I doubt that will stop now nothing has broken your friendship apart yet I doubt that even this will," Mrs Denver told megan.
"Yeah, you're probably right," said Megan.
"It's OK to be worried, it's to be expected, but it will be OK. We will work out what's going on and we work out how to help you and how to move on," Mrs Denver told megan.
"I wish we had never gone in the cave. It was a mistake. Nobody was meant to get hurt. Maybe if I had tried harder perhaps I could have persuaded the others not to go in there" Megan told mrs denver.
"Megan it is not your fault they all made their own choices and decisions it was no one's fault what happened it's just a tragic accident you shouldn't worry about it No one will blame you I promise," Mrs Denver told. Megan.
"Yeah I know, I just can't stop thinking about i-" Megan suddenly cut off what she was saying.
Her mother noticed. " Megan, are you ok?" She asked. She received no reply.
Megan's eyes started twitching, and her mother quickly pressed the alarm and nurses hurried in and they checked Megan over, but all was fine.
"This is just a partial seizure which is similar to the other seizures Megan's been having just part-body convulsions, not full-body convulsions." One of the nurses told Mrs Denver.
The seizure stopped 20 seconds later, All But one nurse left to go and check on other patients, one of them stayed behind just in case Megan had another seizure soon after Megan went back to sleep.
"Do you think that was to do with the cave accident she was talking about it, when she had the partial seizure she could've had it before or after but it was during her talking about it?" asked Mrs Denver.
"It might be due to the trauma that she experienced in the cave accident, and it's still fresh in her mind so by trying to remember what happened and thinking about it, it could've stressed her out a little bit and triggered the seizure it is possible, but it is also a possibility that it was just a normal one and there was no trigger," the nurse told Mrs Denver.
"Oh OK," Mrs Denver said, Mr Denver could see that she was worried and put an arm around her.
"She'll be fine honey, they know what they're doing, we just have to give Megan some time and help her," said Mr Denver.
"Yeah, you're right," Mrs Denver told mr Denver.
Mr and Mrs Denver then sat there patiently waiting for not only Megan to wake up but also for the test results to come back.
