Chereads / Slayer: Rebirth of a Soldier as Slave / Chapter 26 - Not a Nice Guy

Chapter 26 - Not a Nice Guy

Viswa looked at Mr. Guide with his mouth wide open.

He never knew that the handsome face of this suit-wearing snob is so punchable.

"So Mr. Guide, I am about to go and fight nine people who might be stronger than me and I am going to fight back to back. You are saying I cannot use anything other than my fists?"

[Yes. Is that too difficult for your bird brain to understand?]

"The nine people that want to kill me? You want me to fight them like that?"

[If you ask me that one more time, I will fry your last two brain cells.]

"Don't you feel that anything is wrong with your condition?"

[Nope. If you break the rule, you are going to face a penalty.]

Viswa didn't even know what to say when Mr. Guide disappeared. He prepared a lot of things for the duel. After all, nine fights with people who are possibly stronger than him, is not something that he would take lightly.

He could die in that ring.

And he didn't dare to believe that he managed to win in the forest purely based on his skills. He just took advantage of the environment which he made himself familiar with.

But now, he is going to be on a stage. He could only fight head on without much advantage.

He sighed and went to the arena.

There is no point in dwelling on the matter too much. After all, it is not like he could change the mind of that snob.

By the time, he arrived there are already a lot of people waiting there.

Viswa got onto the stage and sat down crosslegged while meditating. Also, he kept his focus on the slave brand on his nape. It has been a while, but he was still unable to find out to whom the slave brand is reacting.

Right now, he is feeling the burning sensation and he is over a hundred meters away from the dormitories.

Half of the freshmen are already here. So, he could eliminate all of them.

Viswa just focused on the burning sensation as more and more people gathered.

People are coming in groups which kind of made his job a little easier. But soon, the rankers of circle 1 also arrived along with a bunch of instructors. Viswa opened his eyes and got ready to fight.

At this moment, he suddenly felt the burning sensation slowly decreasing. He looked around in the crowd. There are not many freshmen left. Almost every single one of them is here. He wanted to keep his eyes peeled open.

The instructor took the position of a judge and the first candidate already stepped on the stage.

Viswa grudgingly brought his attention back to the stage and the opponents.

He frowned as he looked at their faces.

Every one of them is angry and nervous at the same time. They looked at Viswa with utmost hostility. They couldn't have expected that things would take a turn like this.

They originally thought Viswa would have died in the forest. But after they knew he is coming back, they decided to kill him off there. They would have gone and ganged up on him. But one of their own just couldn't help themselves and made a move.

Viswa quickly dealt with him by taking advantage of the situation.

So, they backed off. They all saw how Viswa just fought with his jabs. He has yet to pull out his knife. They became a bit scared and left.

Of course, not all ten of them are in on it. Only the people who got involved knows of it.

Because of that all ten of them lost their reputation.

The other circle 1 students became hostile. After all, it could have been any one of them. Even though they knew Viswa pissed off a lot of people for this to happen, they couldn't help but relate.

Since they failed the job, the person who instigated them to do this lost trust in them. They are not going to hold up their end of the deal.

If all of this is not enough, the president of the student union is on their tail.

He literally forced them to accept all these duels.

Viswa looked at the tenth-ranked who stepped on to the stage.

"Before the duel starts. I want to know, were you there yesterday? If you are, who made you do this?"

The tenth-ranked just looked at Viswa without saying anything. He just pulled out two daggers and held them in a backhanded grip.

Viswa looked at him as the instructor started the duel.

Viswa stood in an orthodox boxing stance, but he didn't have his guard up. His hands were down as he bounced on his feet.

Right now, he is relaxed. Because his instincts are telling him that this is a fight he could win and his instincts were never wrong.

The opponent dashed forward with the two daggers. He moved using Sea Snake step. He looked like he is slipping through the water seamlessly.

He arrived in front of Viswa and swung his daggers at him from both sides.

Viswa didn't block nor did he move back to dodge, instead to the surprise of the opponent, he ducked, dashed forward, sidestepped and threw a one-two at the opponent's head.

*BAM* *BAM*

The opponent felt the two punches. A jab and a straight on his ear. His daggers are still in mid-air. His hands stopped moving and he could feel blood dripping down his ear while he tripped on his own feet.

Viswa looked at him and shook his head.

That dagger movement is too flimsy. He used two daggers and he used such a wide move. It is basically asking him to get inside his attack range and bash him up.

And he didn't hold back, he landed two punches right on his ear.

If an ear is busted, particularly with this kind of brute force, it is very hard for a person to keep the balance.

The opponent quickly regained his balance and stood up. He looked at Viswa cautiously, but he could feel that his body is off balance.

Viswa didn't hesitate to move forward. As the daggers were being swung at him in such large arcs, he dodged swiftly and threw his punches one after another. After landing three to four light-handed jabs and an uppercut that created a wide opening, Viswa just stuck to the guy.

The opponent's arms are wide open both of them extended outside and Viswa's chest is practically hugging him. All the opponent has to do is close his hands and stab the daggers into Viswa. It is as simple as that.

Everyone who is at the scene could understand that.

It is just that the opponent who is actually facing Viswa didn't feel that way. As he tried to close in his hands, Viswa is throwing punches filled with spiritual energy from such a short range and they are being aimed at his armpit and the bottom of his arm.

The punches were not drawn out. There are no large motions when he is swinging his arm. But everyone's punch landed with utmost precision and speed. Each punch tore the muscle fibers apart and cracked the bones.

When the opponent realized the danger he is in, he tried to back off and create some distance, but Viswa didn't let that happen. He clinched the guy and hugged him tight while keeping his arms apart.

Exactly after eight punches to the arms and armpits, the opponent's left arm was done for.

He dropped the dagger and he couldn't move his arm anymore.

Not long after, the second arm was done as well.

Finally, the opponent is defenseless.

Viswa finally took a step back and there is a cold look in his eyes.

"Don't forget that I asked you nicely first."

*BAM* *BAM*

One two to the face. The two punches landed squarely on the nose. The opponent felt his sight go blur. He stumbled back and almost fell down.

Almost, but it is not because he found his footing. Rather Viswa moved like a flash and threw another punch from the back. An uppercut to the spine and the opposing force made him fall forward instead of backward.

Of course, Viswa had no plans of making them fall down even then. He threw an uppercut to the chin.

As the spectators saw this, they couldn't help but gulp in nervousness for the opponent.

They watched as Viswa played around with the tenth-ranked Circle 1 student.

Each punch is enough to knock the opponent down, but Viswa didn't let him hit the floor. All the practice he had with his movement technique with Mr. Guide was put to use.

An uppercut to the face.

A body blow to the spine.

A straight to the chest.

A hook to the body.

A hook to the head from the opposite side.

A straight to the nose. A straight to the back of the neck.

Viswa is moving a lot, but everyone could see that he is only moving within a circle of three feet with the opponent as the center and that circle is full of bloody footprints.

As the spectators saw this with their mouths wide open…

*CRACK*

They heard a loud cracking sound.

The jaw of the opponent broke and its bone stuck out of his face.

Viswa held the guy and made him stand still with his left fist. The bone is sticking out from the right side of the face. Right below the temple. The sharp end is pointed upward.

Viswa gathered spiritual energy in his right hand and threw a hook.

*BAM* *CRACK*

Another loud cracking sound was followed by an explosive impact.

The bone that stuck out didn't stick out anymore. It went right back into the face.

By now, the opponent is barely breathing. But Viswa didn't stop.

*CRACK* Ribs

*CRACK* Collarbone

*CRACK* Spine

*CRACK* Skull

*CRACK* Shoulder blade that stuck out.

*CRACK* Shoulder blade that was pushed back in.

After ten minutes of this one-sided onslaught, Viswa finished the game with a large uppercut.

*CRACK*

Everyone saw as the chin of the opponent shatter into a dozen pieces and each of them stuck out of the face.

The opponent and Viswa are both drenched in blood. Only the blood belonged to just the opponent.

Viswa's blood wasn't there.

Even at that moment, Viswa didn't let the opponent fall to the ground. Instead, he caught hold of him by his shirt and looked at the remaining rankers.

"I am not a nice guy. I have already used up the minuscule amount of niceness that I could muster when I asked this guy about yesterday's incident. I don't have any patience anymore.

All I want to know is the name of the guy who made you target me. Until then, all ten of you will go through something similar."

With that statement, Viswa threw the guy who is barely breathing for some reason off the stage.

He went to his side and sat cross-legged before he started meditating.

But at this moment, the burning sensation suddenly disappeared on his slave brand.

He opened his eyes and looked straight ahead at the new arrivals.

It is a very odd group of people.

All the freshmen from the orphanage group, the headmaster of the academy. Makar and his gang along with three instructors.

And out of those three instructors, one of them is looking at Viswa with a gaze full of hostility and menace.
