After the day's activities they all retired to their rooms to rest. While everyone had drifted off into the blissful land of dreams, the twins were still awake. Raten looked outside the windows, at the school's watchmen and at the beautiful night sky which was flooded with stars. A crescent moon rested in the sky above the earth giving the darkness a new sense of beauty.
"You know, all the while we spoke about becoming wizards, I never really thought Father would let us go. Considering what happened last time we were left to wander about." Raten said.
"Even I thought the same. Thinking back to how he would freak out when we only stepped out of the house, coming here I thought was nothing but a far cry. I guess, he believes we'll be fine and at least stay out of trouble," said Kiyan.
"Honestly Kiyan, I am scared," Raten said.
"Of what?" Kiyan asked.
"The distance we are from him. What if something happens, will he get here on time? Torrance is probably planning on getting us in trouble. I'm scared of what might happen, I'm scared of everything and everyone here." He responded still looking out the window.
"You shouldn't think like that. We are fine everything's fine, there's nothing to be scared of. We don't need to be scared of anyone. We are Agnar's sons after all. He is out there trying to break the curse. Once that's done, we would have little to no reasons to be worried," Kiyan patted his brother's shoulder and made to get on his bed.
"You should get some rest," he said and lay on his bed.
One more person who was awake and heard everything they had spoken about was Rodney. "Why would they be scared of everyone?" He wondered but then shrugged it off. Everyone has their fair share of troubles, theirs might just be something too scary for them. It really was none of his business. He covered himself properly with his sheets and went to sleep.

Demas sat in a cave looking through books from a shelf. He already had a few in his hands while intensely glancing through pages of every book. "It has to be here somewhere," he thought closing the tenth book he had opened. The only source of light in the cave was a small glowing orb that he had produced.
"Aha! I've found it!" He shouted in joy. He picked up the book and two other he had set aside and began running out of the cave with his light source following behind him. He ran up a hill to a very familiar house.
"AARGHH!" He screamed in fear. Out of seemingly nowhere a large beast had appeared, startling him. "Oh, it's you." He sighed in relief when he took a closer look at the beast that growled in his face. It was Agnar's animal-like companion, Wolverion.
"You should have just died of a heart attack," said One-eye as he stepped out to see who was screaming.
"I have found the missing piece." He said ignoring One-eye's remark. For as long as they have known each other, this has always been his behaviour towards him and it didn't really bother Demas for One-eye never tried to harm him once or posed a threat. "At least I think it's what we're missing."
"Come on in then." One-eye said and Demas moved forward after Wolverion had moved out of the way. He walked into Agnar's house and found Agnar on the chair in the living room fast asleep and Raymond was with booze in hand drifting slowly into sleep. Around them were several kegs of brew.
"How did they drink this much just now? I didn't take that much time, did I?" Demas thought to himself as he looked at them. The sight was quite surprising to him.
"So what was the missing thing you were talking about?" One-eye asked and took a seat next to the burning flames under the chimney. His legs were folded and he grabbed the closest bottle to him and took a large gulp of its contents. Demas placed all three books in his hands and opened them to specific pages. He then began explaining things to One-eye.
"So, at first I thought the reason we were unsuccessful with every attempt to break the curse was because of how strong it is due to how strong the one placed it on him was or still is. Although that is a factor, it just isn't the entire reason. Agnar has tried a lot of things already and the most successful was the cancelling spell he made effective with the use of parts of a beast"
"We had tried reversal using your powers, but you only turned him into a child. In these books I have checked they all mentioned this exact spell, to remove what was placed and to reverse the damage done."
"That makes sense," One-eye said and looked the word he pointed at in all three books. "How did we miss it all this while? We should try it immediately."
"Wait, no! Come back!" Agnar suddenly shouted and got up abruptly. He breathed heavily and looked about for a while with sleepy eyes. "Huh? It was just a dream." He yawned and grabbed the keg of brew next to him. He began pouring its contents into his mouth laying back down slowly. He fell asleep letting go of the drink, causing it to pour on the floor while he slept peacefully.
"Or, maybe tomorrow." One-eye said after watching Agnar's little display.

"Where do we check out first?" Raten asked his brother while pulling up his trousers. Since it wasn't a school day, they didn't have to put on their cloaks and just wore the clothes they had come with.
"We'll just move about until we see something interesting." Kiyan answered.
They and Rodney were the last ones in the room. Noticing his reluctance to move from his bed, Raten asked, "Are you going to stay in here all day?"
"Yeah, I don't really feel like going outside." He responded.
"You sure?"
"Yes, now leave me alone." He turned on his bed and covered himself up with his sheets.
"Okay then," The twins said and left.
